I've ran in several versions of HOKAs the past six years. And always end up straying to another brand after a few pairs to get a way from the bulk and general fit of for my feet. Don't get me wrong, I've loved them. They've nursed me back from a couple injuries, but I have a pretty narrow foot and long narrow toes... and my foot swims in them. I tried the Edge on a whim and fell. In. Love. The midsole grips/fits my arch much better, and unlike a few of the other reviewers, I feel like the toe box is ample. It's flat and wide, unlike the Clifton where there is more vertical space. Honestly. I love these. The cushion is great and I'm ecstatic about the way it hugs my foot. I will say it runs big. I wear a street shoe of 8.5. All of my running shoes in other brands are a 10. With HOKA, I'm a 9. Also. The soles do not do well on trails. Rocky ones, at least. My soles were shredded on day two of wear from a 10 mile trail run. On the road: amazing. My only complaint is color. MAKE THESE IN BRIGHT COLORS!!! Please!!!

After two exchanges, I found the perfect shoe for my feet. These shoes are light as a feather but offer great support, especially in the heel which is nicely padded. This shoe does seem more narrow which I needed. Very happy with the comfort and stability. These are my first Hokas.
I'd also recommend:
Love Taos sandals.

These look and feel great. I’m still wearing them in, but I can tell they’ll be my favorites.

I have worn every version of the Clifton because it has felt the best for my injury-prone legs over that last several years. When I saw the configuration of the heel on the Clifton Edge I was a bit skeptical that it wouldn't feel natural, but I was very pleasantly surprised that it felt very smooth and soft! (For heel strikers like me, it gives a very fluid ride). The upper is comfortable on my average shaped foot, and I'm happy with the 8.5 I ordered as it provides the extra toe space I need but I'm not swimming in it like I was with the Clifton 6, which was too roomy in an 8.5. No slipping issues with the heel, and no blisters of any kind so far. My only disappointment was with the laces, which came untied 3 times in 2 runs. A single knot came untied after 200 meters, a double knot came untied after 2 miles, and a double knot tucked into the crossed laced still somehow loosened so much I looked down expecting it to be completely untied. So buyer, be ready to swap laces out or double knot and tuck! Otherwise, you're looking at a really smooth, soft, stable feeling ride. Like the Clifton, but in Cadillac version.

I just received my Hoka One, Clifton Edge in a size 7 which is perfect! Thanks to Zappos for allowing me to make changes until I found the perfect shoe for me. I love the extra padding in the heel which supports my slender heel and keeps it from sliding and slipping. These shoes are narrower than the other Hokas I tried, perfect for my feet. Looking forward to completing my 77 miles this month, 1 mile for each of my 77 years of age. I plan to put many miles on these shoes.

I was an avid Mizuno Wave Rider wearer and switched to Hoka Clifton after injury. I never fell in love with them as the footbed is too narrow. Enter the Clifton Edge - truly a perfect fit, feels like I'm floating on air. I'll never go back to original Clifton - best shoe ever!!

I have custom made arch supports from collapsed arches and problem feet. My heels rotate to the outside and I wear the soles down on the outside of my shoes. I have found whether boots, sneakers or the rubber slide on shoes this brand is the one I turn to. The heel extends out around the shoe so my ankles can't roll to the outside. They are extremely comfortable to wear and light weight. I can wear them with my arch supports. Wonderful all the way around. So glad I got them!

I just finished my first run in my new Clifton Edge and I have to say these shoes are absolutely amazing! I have been running for over 40 years (the last 10 in Hokas primarily) and I think this was the smoothest ride yet! I ran 6 miles and felt really good at the end, not the least bit sore. Hoka has really gotten it right on this one! Keep up the great work!

The construction of the tongue makes it extremely difficult to get my foot into the shoe. I won't buy this model of Clifton again. I hope the construction won't be applied to the other models.

I have been a Hoka lover for a long time and have converted many family members to buy Hokas. I stepped out of my usual Clifton purchase and bought this version. I typically do Orange theory with an occasional outside activity. These have a different tongue than the usually Clifton and it isn't as comfortable. The heel extension is more than I thought and tough to use in the rower. The laces are a different fabric and sometimes don't stay tight. I should have returned them but thought they would grow on me. I'll stick to my regular Bondi or Clifton from now on for my OTF workouts.

Didn't think they were that comfortable. Maybe a different style like bondi.
When I purchashed the sneakers, I used the option to pay installments a month. I figured I would try it but when return the sneakrers, I received my money back except $8.00. I guess there's a return fee I was not aware of.

I love my Clifton 8's. I am new to the HOKA brand, but wanted to give them a try. I wasn't sure about shoe size and how they run, so I got my typical size, 11B. I had to return them for a wide, which fit much better, but I actually could've worn a 12. Still, these feel amazing! Lots of walking and standing without my back or my feet hurting. Wonderfully comfortable. I have bought a pair of Arahi 5, and I'm about to buy another pair. I believe these will be great for all of the mileage we are going to put on them when we go to Disney this December!

Takes a little to get used to the big foot type shoe, but I stick my arch supports in them and off I go, with no foot pain.... I have appx. 6 different pair of Hoka, and these Cliftons, have the biggest toe box for sure.

I normally wear a 7 1/2 to a 8.. and I should have listened to everyone and got a 8.. there to small to run in.. my toes are killing me after I run. And I waited past 30 days to return them.. not so bad for walking but I messed up.

I am between a 5.5 and 6 but apparently need a size 5 in all the Hoka's I have tried. My fitter at fleetfeet said I would need a 5.5 or 6. Thankful for Zappos customer service!

These shoes are light weight and very comfortable. I bought them because of some knee pain I was experiencing from what I believed to be lack of cushioning in my previous shoes. I have noticed that when I run now I have no more knee pain. The only thing I don't like about these shoes (even though I'm sure there is a purpose to it), is how the back end of the shoe extends out. I am constantly hitting the back of my lower legs with them. I'm a slow runner and and when I took my first run in them my mile decreased by a whole minute.

The back base of the shoe sticks out way too much for me. I am not a runner but was just looking for comfortable walking shoes. I really just didn't like how they looked so I had to return them. I am keeping the Rincon 3.

They are snugger than my other Hoka's and they don't have as much support. But I don't like returning things so I will keep them.
