Ahhhhh... too narrow!! Was so hoping this shoe would work, but sadly no. Support felt like it would have been PERFECT, but the shoe was too narrow for me. I have medium width, leaning to maybe a wider width foot. I need the support & these Cliftons were touted to have it. The nice cushioning but with a firmer support than usual. They felt spot on right out of the box... just too narrow! Arch support was there, loved the extra stability from the sole/outsole. If HOKA releases these in a wider width, I’ll definitely be back!!

Great looking shoe and fits true to size, but this shoe has absolutely NO arch support. I even tried to insert my own orthotics for support and it wouldn't fit in the shoe. It's very flat and didn't feel like it gave me any kind of support at all. I had the Hoka Clifton 7 for years and loved them. If you are looking fro arch support look for another type of Hoka.

I've been running long distance races and triathlons for twenty years. I've always worn a low profile shoe. I almost would go barefoot if I could without fear of stepping on something. However, as I've gotten a little older and wiser my joints and feet have started to call to me to wear something with more cushion. When I took these shoes out of the box I laughed at how big they looked...like snowshoes compared to my other shoes! I kept an open mind and took them for a test run. I was shocked at how comfortable they felt. They absorb energy when and where it should be absorbed but feel light and airy. I have a very narrow foot and the 7.5 fit good on length. I have a little extra width in the toe are but that proved to be comforting during a longer run when my feet swell just a tad. I kept testing these shoes before making a decision to keep them because I was shocked at how much I liked them. My long runs feel more efficient now. These have been great for runs 10K and longer...my half marathon was lovely and they will be great for my marathon distances. I choose to still do speed work with other shoes. But try these on rolling hills...great! The awkward wing tip on the heal does it's job. If you are on the fence about getting these shoes, take them for a test run!

My new favorite running shoes! Love them so much I already ordered a second pair. I have arthritis in my right foot and I am picky, these are roomy in the toe area and loaded with cushion.

Let me just start by saying I love Hoka One One Cliftons - 3, 5, and most recently 6. They always work out best for me, I run 2-3 times a week. I was very enthusiastic to try out Clifton Edge but unfortunately, they disappointed me. They felt slightly smaller, and even though they say neutral, they feel more like stability shoes.

I wear this shoe because I have tailor bunions and was disappointed to find that this shoe fit more narrow than the Clifton 6.

This is my first pair of Hokas and I'm one of 300 who've won this through the Hoka Ekiden challenge in Strava last July. I opted for the free shipping and I received my pair within the expected delivery time in August, but the shipping box was beat up, the shoes was about to fall off. Nonetheless, I was so happy and thankful, I tested it the next day on a 10k run, part of the Ironman Virtual races I'm hooked on. It was so light, plush, and I was able to conserve energy that I was able to maintain a high cadence towards a narrower split. My legs didn't feel so sore that recovery wasn't so bad so I thought to save this pair for upcoming races or longer runs. After 4 weeks, I put this on and ran 12k same place same time... But, I felt the balanced cushioning and I can somehow grip the pavement better. But not feel like I'm pounding it. The right laces kept getting undone so I noticed that the laces are short. I wished it was just longer or has a bungee function so I can tighten it and tuck it in my shoe. I was able to achieve my pacing plan and finish faster. When I got home, I was surprised to see the midsole was frayed! Like as if I ran on hot pavement. I'm based in Texas so I run when it's cool, and when the pavement is not so hot, to save our shoes and I can tell it's so because dogs are being walked on it. And I run on track or paved roads only. I don't also walk with these on errands. So, I can't believe how these pricey and advanced soles got frayed after 18 miles of running? I'm an age-group triathlete, these shoes are beyond my budget if it's good for a few long runs but if someone believes it'll help them win prize money or go elite, then go ahead. I'll invest on a pair that are durable enough to withstand the 300 - 500 mileage under usual wear and tear. I have UA Speedform Gemini for sprints and On Cloudswift for mid distances, and these Clifton Edge is still the pair I'll race in. I didn't have to break it in even if I don't wear them often.

Have taken this shoe out for less than 20 miles at this point- while the shoe is very comfortable after one run the tread was worn down almost completely. They might do better for treadmill running as opposed to anything outdoors.

Awesome shoe but had to send them back. The collar comes up higher on the sides and was digging into my ankle bone enough to bruise it. Bummer as these felt much snappier than standard Clifton's.

I am a true 7.5 in shoes and size 7 in HOKA CLIFTON (i have several pairs). I ordered these in size 7. My foot is average width - neither narrow nor wide. As many reviewers have mentioned, these are oddly narrow. For me, they are only narrow in the front/footbed, not along the entire foot. I absolutely love the stability, support and look (which is modern and unique). Wonder whether repeated impact from jogging will help the front of these shoes to "give" a little and stretch in the footbed, because they are a perfect fit otherwise. Hmmmm....Hope Hoka will rectify this and make their sizes and widths consistent for consumers. Hokas are my favorite running shoe!! Happy running!

I thought the outside/upper was all flexible and soft but over the top of my big toe is hard and I can’t run with them because of that. I had an accident that has caused my big toenail to become sensitive/sore.

I pre ordered a pair and received them around the first week of July. My custom arch supports fit in them. They help with my ankle turning to the outside. Very very comfortable. So glad I got these.

I really love how these feel - they are light as a feather and so comfortable. HOWEVER they have not held up. the bottom tread is completely gone less than 6 months in (I do not wear them daily)

LOve love love them. I’m a broken down tennis player that walks on the outside of my foot because of injuries. This shoe keeps my foot in place. The heel is firmly in place. I don’t roll out at all. I had zero foot pain. I love them. Did get a half size bigger. I’m a fan. And they are kind of cute

These shoes are great! My 8th pair of Hokas, and third pair of Clifton Edge. Puts a spring in your step so the exercise is more enjoyable. Please make them in wide so I can buy them for my sister - already got them for my husband!

I’m a Hoka enthusiast. This is probably my 5th pair. I like the Edge better because it reminds of the narrowness of a Nike with a little more support.

I'm hard to fit and these are perfect. Just the right amount of support and cushion. They slip on and off easily, are very light weight, and other than making your feet look larger than they are because of the sole extending beyond the heel, they're really awesome. I normally wear a wide, but the normal in these are perfect, but I did get a half size larger than normal. And it seems the new heel design finally addresses a problem I've had with previous HOKA's - After a couple of weeks of wearing, I usually wear a hole in the interior heel of the shoes because the fabric is so soft. This new design has finally fixed that problem. I run about 70 miles a week and they are ridiculously comfortable. LOVE THESE SHOES!

I always had problems finding a shoe that really fit. My feet have always been narrow and the ball of my foot to the toes would always slide around a bit. This shoe has been perfect for me. That extra panel on the inside from the tongue to the outside if perfect. It securely holds my foot in place and so very comfortable. If your feet are narrow you will love this.

Bought these for our teen daughter she says they are light weight with good support. Tried using the shoe finder on Hoka sight (her knees sometimes hurt); this pair was one of the recommendations and so far no pain!! She mostly runs on park sidewalks. Also does lots of jump squats & other similar impact training.

I am a Hoka fanatic, the only brand I wear! The are the most comfortable of all of mine so far because they really keep me from rolling my feet to the outside, with the wide flared design.

I was on the fence when I first saw this shoe, but when I saw it in bright yellow I decided to splurge. I have several Hoka shoes and every time they come out with a new color I can't resist! These are very comfy and used on cement jump roping and could not believe how bouncy they were. I've received several compliments on them too. The edge makes them stable for jumping, walking and just running errands.
