No better time to bike around NYC than the winter when the bike lanes are all yours. Replaced my northface closefit gloves with these guys since they are warmer but still have enough dexterity to comfortably operate gears/breaks etc. They also do usually work on my phone even though theyre not listeed as touch screen.

I purchased these gloves in Summer of 2021 for a lightweight motorcycle riding glove. Other gloves I tried either did not offer good wind protection, or were too thick to operate controls properly. These really helped me find my happy place. Super comfortable, great at wind and weather protection, very durable, and great dexterity! One thing to note: these gloves are unisex so the sizing is slightly different. I normally wear a men's medium glove, but I needed a large size for these.

These gloves fit me perfectly, even a little snug. I have used them while working outside and while driving when the car is still cold. amazing control as they adhere to the steering wheel and power tools perfectly. glad to have them.

I've yet to wear them in an alpine environment but I've worn them around town for a few weeks and I'm impressed by the high level of dexterity and comfort that they provide. The fit is precise enough to actually wear for a round of golf, and the leather on the finger tips and palms keeps my hands warmer than I expected.

I got these gloves about 1 month ago and absolutely love them. The fit is incredible and They are also very stylish and comfortable. They are wind and water resistant which is a feature that I have really put to the test. They do fit a little small. I normally wear a size medium in Arc'teryx gloves but I needed a large size for this style of glove. I will definitely get another pair when/if these ever wear out.

Very nice gloves that fits like a second skin and found the fit to be accurate. These gloves are not heavy duty work or climbing gloves but have an extremely useful light duty purposes: - To steady yourself while hiking - While trekking with poles - Occasional short crack climbing - While setting up harness and rack - While setting up camp and equipment - Driving gloves for cold steering wheel - Mountain Biking - Walking Gloves* - ... Things to realize: - These are not waterproof nor windproof. They are water resistant and wind resistant. They were designed to breath and feel comfortable. If you need an extra layer of protection from the elements simply do like I do and get yourself a lightweight pair of Goretex overmitt that can be put on or removed on the fly. Both Alpha SL gloves and overmitts are very pocket friendly. - If you work with these gloves in a wet environment or run wet nylon ropes through them they won't last very long; they are not really intended for these applications. * The Arc'teryx Logo on the gloves are really reflective. While I walk the streets at night with my girlfriend and flash my headlamps on her it is almost like she is wearing two flashlight in her hand. Nice touch.

Very impressed with these gloves. They fit like the proverbial and stay reasonably warm while remaining breathable. Comfortable, though allow a some time for the leather to "break in". Haven't used them for anything very demanding so I can't comment on durability at this time, but they look and feel strongly constructed.

I live in the NWT. I needed a set of gloves that would let me operate in low temperatures but still have manual dexterity while working in poor weather at - 40. These gloves do the job well, and are an almost perfect solution for my needs. I just wish they had a little insulation on the top part of the gloves, but they were not built for bush skills in the NWT. They are still a great glove and a near perfect solution.

These gloves I bought for speed hiking in cold weather, where I would need to use my hands to help navigate terrain. So far so good as far as quality and how they are holding up. Not warm unless you're warm so be advised. My only gripe is how tight they are to get on. I'm waiting for them to split trying to get them on, but after they're on for awhile they feel like a second skin.

These are great for ice climbing and warmer weather ski touring. But know that they are for lead climbing or top roping only. Don't wear them for belaying, instead switch to your warmer, more durable gloves for belaying and rappelling. They are more durable than the Venta LT.

These gloves are like a really good burger. They hold together well, meet your needs, and look great! I've had these gloves for about three months and they still look brand new. That goat leather really holds its own. As for the rest of the glove, it's less water repellent and more of a WINDSTOPPER glove, as expected. Great for high output activities and limited exposure activities like setting up a tent. Paired with a pair of RHO liners, these things are GOLDEN. Overall an amazing glove.

I love these gloves. The leather palm is perfect for grip. The dexterity is great. Perfect fit for me. I purchased a size Medium based off of the size chart. I measure 19 cm in length, and 21.5 cm in circumference. They weren't warm enough to wear on their own in 20F temperatures. I purchased the Gothic glove liner in a size Small to wear underneath. Interesting that the Gothic glove liner in size Small is a perfect fit. The glove liner fits perfectly underneath the Alpha SL without any tightness and creates the perfect amount of warmth, breathability, and dexterity. I absolutely love this combination.

Overall great gloves - very dextrous and durable. I can get things out of my jeans pockets with these, which is pretty handy. Only knock against them is that the way they are cut, the fit in the palm can make it difficult to flatten my hand, but that's somewhat to be expected with more functionally fit gloves like these.

I've had this glove for a little over month now. I live in Toronto, Canada and it gets cold here but it's not too bad. I needed a lightweight and dexterous glove for biking around the city and for some light protection during the fall. I can see these being used for early summer mornings as well. So far they have been performing well. I get a full range of motion and usually keep the gloves on when performing most tasks (even some that may require more precision). Since they are very lightweight and close to the skin, I can also see my self using these gloves during the warmer winter days and putting them in my jacket pocket. However, these are not made for rough winter weather and I advise going for a thicker glove. The only two things I wish for arcteryx to improve is touchscreen compatibility and to make it a little more warmer. The material is supposed to be impervious to wind but I feel like the wind sometimes gets through when doing activities with fast movement (biking). This is just what I think, the glove could be fully impervious to wind and I could just be using it in an environment that it is not meant for (too cold). Also, a little thing that I would love to see added is some sort of glove attaching clip. I have yet to lose the gloves but I am always worried since there is no way to attach them together when I am not using them or carrying them around. To be fair, they do have little hoops which you can use a clip to lock together but it would be nice to be able to attach the gloves together without using a third party item. In terms of fit, I recommend getting a tighter fit since the gloves do stretch out. Overall I am very happy with the glove!!

Such a nice fit..beautiful stitching..articulation is better than any glove I've ever used. Perfect. Yes it does take some time to slip these on but once they're on they feel perfect and they get better the more you wear them.

Perfect sensation when you wear it, if it is fittng slim or even a bit narrow, dont worry, it will be copying your hand in few days...; as it is not insulated, you feel exactly the expected protection. These are the gloves fully perfect to work, you can do/make all (except to manage the smartphone) on rock, ice, wood, bike, metals, driving your motorbike on the brown..., everything; really total-outdoor. Dont hesitate, top realiability.

I love these gloves! They are my favourite addition to my kit this fall. I have had the Venta in the past, and this is a wonderful upgrade for those wanting a lightweight windproof glove with the added durability of a full leather palm. The webbing closure system allows for a nice secure fit across the back of the hand, in a great low profile design. So far, after a ton of climbing/scrambling, hiking, and cold morning mountain bike rides, the durability is far superior to anything I have used before. Arcteryx hit the nail on the head with this one!

People saying these aren't warm do not understand the way Arc'teryx rates their clothes for warmth. I use these on windy days with the temps in the low 30s. My hands are fine and the wind is never an issue. They breath well, dry quickly and offer great dexterity. The only issue I have with them is they are a bit difficult to put on the first few times.
