It's true to size fits with room for a sweater I love it

I bought my North Face 550 jacket 17 years ago. I have worn it every cold winter day since. (I live in Manitoba so plenty of those) Washed it many times per winter. I replaced the zipper several years ago and it needs a new zipper again BUT it is still my favourite jacket. I love that it lasts forever...hoping to wear it for the next 17 years.

I literally wear this coat when it's about 30-40 degrees outside and when I tell you that I can't feel a thing! It keeps me warm and I don't have to wear anything under but a tee! The price is definitely worth it.

This coat is very warm and also flattering. I am a teacher and have several outdoor duties, so this coat has really been a game-changer!

I absolutely love my New Outerborough Parka. I mainly bought it for a trip to Iceland but living in Chicago, I know I'll get good use of it. It kept me warm and dry from the rain and snow during my trip. I'm constantly cold and this coat is well insulated. I like the added features of the thumbhole/insert and how you can adjust the shape of the hood to your preference. I also enjoyed the shoulder straps because they made it easy to unzip the coat for however long and quickly zip myself up and go into the cold. My only complaint was that the removable hood kept unbuttoning from one of the clips & it was a little annoying to keep having to re-clip and struggle in the cold. Loved all the pockets! There's a lot of room to put your phone, keys or whatever you need. The coat runs big and I wanted a more fitting look so I bought the size Small. I had plenty of room to layer up. Could have fit in the Medium too but preferred the Small.

Fits great! And keeps you warm during extreme temps!

I was looking for a coat to wear in extremely cold temperatures and I found it. This coat is so warm and the perfect length. The arms are a little longer then I'm used to, but I don't hate it. I can't wait to see how it does at the arctic circle in a couple months.

I like this fit a little better than my previous NF parka. Extra pockets, still slim and will keep me toasty thanks to NF magic!!

Love the color and feel of the slate grey and the shorter length for ease of mobility.

Planning to use this one n my next trip to Switzerland I always feel like I'm freezing when we travel to colder climates; and even with the parkas I've had in the past, I still feel cold. Well, not anymore. Love this parka, it's quality, and the warmth it provides. I feel like I'm in an insulated bubble of comfort. Sizing is a bit on the big side, though. I'm a medium, and this medium is a big oversized for me. That would be my only concern here

The product is amazing!

I am so excited to test out this jacket in the Minnesota winters! It is warm and cozy and I love how the hood has a wire to hold its shape. It is roomy and a little boxy but I know it will be very warm this winter. I also love to have a bit of room inside so I can layer up with sweaters. Overall, cannot wait for some snow to put this to use!

Love this jacket - definitely very warm (admittedly bought it in the summer, but I suspect it'll be great for a northeast winter). Insulation feels very warm, length hit mid thigh (I'm 5'3"), love the chest pockets. Stylistically, it is definitely on the boxy side so you have to be ok with it looking a little baggy and not being fitted

Bought size medium I'm size small 5-10". Great fit leaves enough for a heavy sweater . The warmest parka you can come across , great upgrade!
