It's a bit hard to zip up because the coat it's so long. But love the length as it keeps everything warm. Lightweight and comfortable. Great purchase.

This coat is awesome! i initially ordered a 2XL, I typically wear a size 16 and have a large bust. I had to return it for an XL. I've wear this for outdoor activities with the kids and remained warm.

I love that this jacket isn't shiny or look like a trash bag like so many waterproof or down jackets. Super comfortable and warm. Love the magnetic double closures - no more Velcro snags in my sweaters or tights!

I was eyeing this jacket for quite a while, but At $450, this jacket was way beyond my budget. When it went on sale, it was still a stretch but I ordered it anyway. Finding something warm has always been a challenge. I was concerned I would look like a snowman in it but I was pleasantly surprised at how flattering the fit is. I love the styling with the side vents and the tapered length to the back. One of the things I like about The North Face is the series of questions they put you through to determine your size. I've found it to be quite accurate. I just received the jacket today so I haven't put it to the test, but as soon as I put it on in the house I got pretty hot, so I know it will be warm outside. I couldn't check off all the pros because I haven't worn it yet. Great purchase!

I live in the city and commute to work by walking/train. This coat keeps me warm on the coldest days! Super cute and I love the Navy color. Only thing is that the sleeves feel a little long, but there's plenty of room in the sleeve to layer a sweater which is a nice bonus.

I've been wanting a olive green parka for a long time. Fits great love the color! It is true to size. Can't wait to wear it in harsh snowy conditions!

I was looking for a coat that was super warm, did not have a bulky oversized fit, and covered to just below my thighs. This coat meets all my requirements. It is not super lightweight, but not heavy either. As Goldilocks would say... just right.

I am a heavy woman who struggles to find outerwear for cold weather. Here in northwestern Minnesota, I need a good warm parka for dog-walking but also for volunteer duty that has me standing (i.e., not generating any heat) outside for hours at a time.
Last year I bought an Outer Boroughs coat, and it just didn't work for me. The shaping (in particular, the belt) fought my body, and the raglan sleeves were so restrictive that I struggled to do up the zipper. While I loved the multiple pockets, filling them only made the coat, which I'd bought in the largest size I could find, fit more snugly. The coat has plenty of insulation but I didn't have room to wear any more than the lightest baselayer under it.
THIS coat, however, seems designed on a different planet. Despite being the same size, XXL, it's far roomier and boxier in cut without being baggy or allowing cold wind to blow up the hem. I have space underneath for even a bulky sweater, expanding the temperature range at which this coat is comfortable. The set-in sleeves allow for full range of motion. It comes down to my knees (I'm 5'5") but also has handy zips at the side hem to open up for driving, etc. The front zip is a two-way, and the magnetic "snaps" are easy to manipulate even with chilly fingers.
The difference in comfort and practicality for me is striking, and I'm really glad I tried the Defdown! Thanks for offering something warm for a different shape!

I coach a Spring Sport, which sometimes means I am outside in 20's and 30's for 6 hours at a time. This parka ensured that I will NOT be cold. I love the zippers on the bottom, so that I am comfortable while traveling.

This is the warmest jacket I have ever worn. Doesn't even come close to other competitive brands. Very stylish, and I have gotten so many compliments on the hood.

I have 5'2" and this parka hits me at the knees. I love the high-low hem. I have struggled to find a parka that didn't absolutely swallow me or restrict my stride. The zipper adjustments at the hem allow me to zip up the coat but still have leg mobility. The convertible mitten sleeve is a life saver. I tend to forget/lose my gloves. Having the mitten sleeves attached is the nicest touch. The large pockets allow me to go without a purse. The Gore-tex shell help with wind and rain. I live in a town where winters are nothing but brutal winds and showers. When rainy, I remove the fur lining on the hood. The fur is a stylish touch when not raining.

I live in Chicago it gets cold & windy, My parka is super warm.
The only con and it's really not a con. It has to be COLD outside or the jacket is to warm. I don't need layers.
I would buy again. But I know I'll have this one for many years! Love it!

This coat keeps me warm. The pockets are deep, which is nice, so I won't loose a glove! I really like the the side zips and the magnetic closure over the front zipper is practically automatic!

the zippers on the legs make it so comfortable to wear in the car. It is a big coat but it's also lightweight.

I wanted a longer length warm winter parka, not something I needed to layer. I wanted it to be urban professional. I live in Vermont,so whether I was running errands in tights or dress slacks,I was stylish but warm and functional. This parka would be great also for walking the dog in the snow on a cold day. So pleased my daughter purchased this for me for Christmas!! So it was a gift!

Great parka! I was debating between this one and other brands which were a few hundred bucks more. After trying everything on, I could not resist but go with this one. It's very stylish and not bulky despite its warmth. This could go with both casual and bit formal wear without looking like a ball of sleeping bag walking arouns.

I bought this for Northern Minnesota winters. The hood is great on windy days by Lake Superior! I love the magnets that close the front, along with the zipper. The finishing touches around the wrists are so comfortable. The side zips work great when hopping in my suv and doesn't restrict me while driving. We have had days in the lower teens with strong lake winds and I have been warm and toasty....this parka has become my favorite! Nice job to the crew who designed this, Lor
