Bought these for my husband to wear skiing and they are perfect. He's had the same bulky old ski pants since high school (25 years ago) so I thought it was time for an upgrade. These are plenty warm for hours outside, but flexible and lightweight for easy movement.

I was weary about buying these over Columbia's other snow pants because it didn't have any reviews but they exceeded my expectations. The quality is great and I like the feel over the other columbia ski pants.

Pant is great - 5 stars - one star OFF for the sizing guide. I wear a size 34 in everything - pants, shorts, jeans, etc. Sizing guide states M will fit 33-35 waist, as well as the sizing wizard called for a M for my height, weight, and pant size. M is tight around the waist with both tensioning tabs all the way out. There is no way a 35 waist is fitting in a M - no way. I also have an L in the same pant - yes they are bigger, but you can easily take up the slack around the waist with the tensioning tabs, and I'm not swimming in them either. If you're a 34, I wouldn't go for the M - unless you like to wear pants that are tight on your waist. 35? L size for sure.

Pants size seems to fit, not too large or small, I ordered a medium short size. I'm 5' 7" and 175 lbs. and the pants fit well, as I expected. I normally buy a 30" inseam pant, and this "medium short" size has a 29" inseam and fit excellent. I like the stretch material, the zippered hand pockets are roomy as are the cargo pockets, one with a zippered closure, the other cargo pocket has a velcro closure. This "Night Wave" color works well with the Columbia Slope Edge "Raw Honey" color jacket that I received as a Christmas 2023 gift. It would be nice if there was an insulated version of this same pant, so you could choose insulated or uninsulated. It was 42 degrees F the first day I was able to try these ski pants, 3/30/2024, and they were certainly comfortable, for temperature and size fit/comfort "wise". However, it seems a base layer/long underwear will be needed in colder winter temperatures. The snow was very slushy, there was a lot of water around the bottom of the ski runs and the pants kept me dry even though there was water on them below my knee area.
Since I live in Minnesota, I'm not sure I'll get out skiing again this season, but if I do I may add to this review.

The powder pants are ok but they do run long and the pocket zippers jam easily in the lightweight material.

its a great ski pant except the vent zippers are not windproof. so, if youre riding the lift into a strong wind, your legs get cold. the fit is a little bit large, but thats great for wearing heavy base layers

These ski pants have all the needed features, such as zipped pockets, gaiters, vents, and scuff pads. They are lightweight, roomy enough for layering, and are surprisingly warm by themselves. Same features as pants costing 3X. Color selection is limited.

Excellent Fit. I love how they have a Short and Regular. However, it's missing the clips on the bottom of the pants that usually connect to the snow boots. Also, the bottom of the pants isn't elastic so it doesn't hug the bottom making it possible for snow to get in.

Good pants, they are water & windproof, do fine with some linings underneath, good pockets, comfortable. They don't have as much insulation as I thought but I've not tried too many others on. 4.5star

Nice pants but snap at bottom of leg is broken. Noticed this as I was about to hit the slopes for the first time with my new pants.

The pants kept me very warm when I layered a pair of sweat pants underneath. The leg zipper and button went right over my boot, making it very easy to use. The pockets also had plenty of space for all my necessary items. It was also very waterproof, making skiing a breeze! May want to use a belt as it may run a little bigger than you might think, but it works just as fine.

Great pants. Excellent for a day if skiing. Good length and fit, but runs a tad small on the waist

Nice sturdy and lightweight pants with zips/cover for all the pockets.
Keeps you warm even in cold days (tested at 5F, had a thin cotton inners). Has nice vent zips to use when too hot.
Self Velcro belt is nice touch. High waisted to keep snow away when you take a tumble.
I normally wear 32x30 Levis, Short Medium size is appropriate with show boots.
Bit baggy for my taste and lack of good colour options, hence 4 stars.

Great snow/wind pants, wish they hadn't put a thin layer of fleece in seat and crotch -not as warm as the rest of the lining, bad decision to change this.

The only thing I don't like about these pants is the gaiter design. It's very tight and difficult to get over a ski boot. Velcro and a snap would be appreciated.

Comfortable & well fitted ski pants but I dislike that there's no back pockets.

I use these for spring skiing. Non-insulated, but they have their Omni-heat reflective material on the top thighs and a lightweight brushed microfiber material on the seat. Fit is a bit on the baggy side, but not too much. The crouch sits a bit lower than I'd prefer, but doesn't affect mobility when skiing (just feel strange walking).
I wear these with a base layer (in around high 35*F on up).

Feel like they protect from warm but are still baggier than I would like. I was hoping for a ski pant that was more fitted.

Don't fit quite right. These pants run loose and little large for the specs. Material feels light and cheap. Its not very warm and extra layer needed to stay warm. Maybe ok for spring skiing not a cold day.

Materials seem nice and warm, but its quite large. I wear a 31/30 and ordered a M based on the fit guide, but this fit more like a 34 or 36.

Great pants but I am giving this 2 stars because the waist snap broke on first use. It's an easy fix and I plan to put a better snap as a replacement, but it was still disappointing.

The Powder Stash Pants are fine as far as warmth and how they fit in the waist and length. My issue with them is that they are quite a bit wider in the pants legs than I would like. That fit makes them baggy.
