My husband was wearing jeans to go on hikes because we couldn't find hiking pants for his height. So glad these are available in a multitude of sizes and lengths! He loves them and was very excited that they will turn into shorts for the summer!

Was looking for a convertible hiking pant that wasn't too loose and baggy. These fit the Bill perfectly. Rugged and comfortable. I now own two pair!

I've done a bit of kiking in these pants and they've held up well. they are breathable and comfortable with good poackets for storage of your essentials and zip off to shorts. What's there not to love. To hike in colder weather you could get away with layering a thermal pant underneith. They are not waterproof but that's what rain pants are for.

While I know that many people don't like how this pant has gone to a slimmer fit, I actually prefer the slimmer fit. I like that fact that I can, and often do, wear these pants as comfortable pants to go out in while also being able to take them with me when I go caving. I often also use them as the pants that I wear when I travel at any capacity. They are comfortable, stylish, and I love them.

I'm on the shorter side (5'5") and have a hard time finding pants with true "shorter" inseams. These are perfect, especially with the ankle zip to accommodate different size shoes/boots. The knee zip is somewhat noticeable but only when you first put it on (probably because I was looking for this). Unzipped, the shorts are perfect, hitting at my preferred length mid-way up the knee. All in all, these are great pants, and I'll likely be picking up another pair!

I have a few TNF convertible pants that are too generous in size. This one fit great. The material appears to be durable. The length of the shorts is just right. The only complaint is the lack of cargo pockets which would be great for carrying cell phone.

Great materials and quality of craftmanship. Little tight in the thigh for someone athletic. No stretch around shorts zipper area.

I have a pair of these in khaki from 2018 that I LOVE. I finally tracked down the proper version online and ordered two pair - tan and dark. I like the look of this darker color a lot. They run a little thin in the size rating, so that is something to be aware of. Not quite a "skinny" pair of pants, but more in that direction than a "regular" fit. The older style was more of a regular fit, and I preferred that. They are light and flexible as both pants or shorts. I really like the feel and comfort of the material and design. I just wish sizes were more clear when ordering (L v XL, and then two waist and length differences to look up for each). I prefer the size and fit of the older version of them I have from 2018, but these are good enough. Otherwise a nice light weight convertible trail pants, and still better than any others I am seeing available these days. I would buy them again.

I have a pair of these in khaki from 2018 that I LOVE. I finally tracked down the proper version online and ordered two pair - tan and dark. These are certainly more tan than khaki which is less ideal. Unfortunately, khaki is no longer an option. These are otherwise fine looking, and tan does go with the product description. They run a little thin in the size rating, so that is something to be aware of. Not quite a "skinny" pant, but more in that direction than a "regular" fit. A little more formal than other convertible pants so can be worn for more occasions.

These pants look great and you can use them for walks or hikes. The fabric does not stretch at all so it restricts free movement

These pants are good for regular hikes. The lack of stretch would make it difficult for climbing.

I am a huge fan of the original Paramount 2 pants. These have a different pocket design and the material feels flimsy. Now I am looking at the competitor brands. Bring back the original please.

These pants are very comfortable. However, they lack pockets on the middle thigh area as they were made previously and I had owned. This would make it convenient to carry additional items. Also need belt loops above the upper pockets-the built in belt end hangs loose and needs a place to "holster" if you will. The rear pockets need to be placed like on regular pants, not towards your side area.

Loved the pockets. They are true to size. The material is pretty stiff which makes them not the most comfortable. Love the color.

The fitting was too loose for me. I like it better before as prior models have better fitting.

Bought two pair based on really liking the older version of these same pants I have in khaki from 2018. Size did not match what I expected. Fit was too big so I returned them and re-ordered the next size down in both waist and length. That size fits, but runs slightly slim fit compared to a regular fit. Thus, the gap between one size up, and one size down is more extreme than say a regular pair of jeans. Makes it tough to find the right fit, particularly if buying online vs. being able to try on in a store. Online sizing descriptions vs fit and feel in person aside, they are a nice pair of convertible trail pants. They are light, flexible, and look sharp. The only hang up I have is in both the online size descriptions and how the sizes are not 100% accurate for mainstream US mens pants sizes. The need to have to package and send back, followed by reordering another smaller pair through trail and error led to the rating deduction.
