I was using the Speedcross 5 for a while before I decided to get the Wildcross. Not only did I find the design absolutely stunning, I was curious to try a shoe that would be less agressive but still able to provide me with a good grip and comfort in my mountain activities. I took them along for the first time on a 30 km hike with a quite big altitude gain: not a single blister! They are incredibly comfortable, the grip no matter the terrain was great, no matter the rocks around, I felt protected in my shoes. Go for these shoes with your eyes closed!! Awesome gear that I definitely recommend

Grippy, nimble and light - super comfortable too. Really into the way they've held up on loose rocky terrain and scrambling. Love the wide toe box too. Not so wide its unstable, just wide enough for comfort. Honestly, LOVE THEM. Cant wait to take them out for longer runs.

Omg I love these shoes. You don't even have to break them in.
They are beautiful. As you can see in the photo, they have these new multi directional lugs to have a ton of traction in mud. They worked really well. I wore them a few days ago on a rainy muddy day and they were snappy and no slipping over rocks either. On this day, the trail was muddy in the beginning but at this lovely dry park view, they still did well.
This toe box is also noticeably roooomier then the other cross-series models so I had a lot of space to wiggle my toes.
The new DreamTex wings were a nice touch keeping my foot secure and even when I splashed through the mud, the mesh kept my feet dry.
Anyway, I'm a fan! (The the color of them, cmon so pretty)

I would compare these to the speedcross. They have even more aggressive lugs, which made running in mud and wet leaves a breeze. The toe box is so well protected! I would say more than the speedcross. I also found that there was a nice amount of padding at the ball of your foot, and arch. And for someone with a high arch, that was great!

These are a great shoe for harder trails (read: anything but fire roads). I've hiked with them through sandy and muddy stuff and rocky climbs, and they did the job just right. Felt really stable and protected and they were comfortable out of the box.
I also deeply appreciate the colors being dark instead of light and froufrou-y - makes me feel like an athlete, rather than a "female athlete"

I have been wearing Speedcross for the last few years and thought I couldn't get a better shoe. Wildcross is that shoe - their support is better and is extremely comfortable. They also look unbelievable bad 8ss!!

Love these! My go to hiking shoes for any trail that isn’t too technical or with a lot of rocks/uneven surface where I like my saloman boots for extra support. These would probably still work ok though- handle inclines well, short rocky sections fine and mild scree without issue. Light and comfortable, I wouldn’t mind a bit more arch support but that’s pretty much my opinion on most shoes. Wide toe box but not a wide shoe overall.

I purchased these for a female friend, and she absolutely is sold and wants more! I've owned many pairs.. absolutely NO complaints. Depending on which model, the more aggressive ones do wear out quick it they get mostly pavement use. But the grip in the wild is just the best

Normally wear a 9 but tried these in an 8.5 and they fit perfectly. First hike today and they felt great!

I bought these for a trip to Iceland. We hiked every day, frequently through water and these were perfect. They fit like a glove. Great grip over multiple surfaces. No break in was needed. Stylish too. I will buy again!

This is probably the 5th pair of these I have purchased. I run about 18 miles a week, give or take. I have ran these ones down fairly quickly, I am not sure if you all changed something in the soles. But I still enjoy them. I find them very comfortable. I do suffer from feet and back injuries and these are the best shoes I have found.

Was always a fan of the Speedcross for trail running and wanted to try out the new Wildcross to see how they compared. I was not dissappointed! The grip on these babies is perfect for the varying trail conditions I come across in Ontario, and the fit is super comfy and supportive. They're my go-to trail shoe now

I've had these for a few months and they are my new favorite hiking shoes! My feet don't slide on super muddy trails and if they get wet these drain quickly. Most recently I came across some compacted snow on a trail and I didn't even need to pull out my microspikes with these one.

This shoe has great stability and excellent traction. My feet feel secure and supported while running, hiking, walking, etc. The only suggestion I have is to size down a half to hole size. I usually buy a 7 in my athletic shoes, and these are a teeny bit larger than ideal. Thankfully I can tighten the laces or wear thicker socks to compensate.

Comfortable, well-fitting, breathable, grippy. I am not a great runner, and I had only run in maximalist shoes before these ones. I love the way I feel connected to the ground through these shoes. They are flexible with excellent traction. My only complaint is how much extra slack the laces leave, but the tongue has a pocket you can stuff the slack into, or you can tuck it under the front of the laces. I am usually a US women's 11, so I bought the US 11/EU 44. I was expecting it to be a little tight, but it has just enough room at the end of my toes. The toe box is quite wide. For size reference , it fits about the same as my La Sportiva Spires (Men's 10/EU 43), much more spacious than the men's La Sportiva Bushido EU 43. I would not say it runs large - just that usually women's 11s or men's 10s that I wear often see to run tight. I was pleasantly surprised with the forgiving fit of the wildcross.

I love these shoes! I started using them this summer whenever I would run more technical trails and they were perfect. They are my go-to shoe for ridge scrambling, with great traction in steep loose dirt and scrambling over rocks and exposure. This is the shoe I used for the WURL, and in those 21 hours, I never had any problems with traction, support, or comfort.

I'm so happy I finally found a trail runner that makes my feet happy! This is my first pair of Salomons - I finally get the hype! These were extremely comfortable out of the box and have only gotten more comfortable with 2 months of use. So far I've mostly used them for hiking on a variety of terrain. The tread is incredible and I feel super supported and stable on uneven ground, hiking through mud, and even on slippery rock. I'm pretty solidly a size 8 so went with it. I like a wider shoe, and the wider toe box accommodates my tootsies. They are borderline too big length-wise, but with a slightly cushy sock they are perfect. Maybe size down a half size from your usual if you like a snug shoe! They also look very cool ;)

So far I've only been for two runs in this shoe, but very happy! It's fall, so dealing with wet conditions, slippery roots and rocks and some snow. I keep pushing the grip a little further, and it hasn't let me down yet (where other shoes sometimes do on wet rocks). First run was ~10km on trail and no blisters or fit issues. Very happy. One note, I usually wear a 7.5 but I wear a 7 with Salomon, these included.

These shoes are soooo light and have a much wider toe box than a lot of the other salmon shoes I've had! Super stoked to put more miles on these!

I really thought I was a die hard slab ultra fan, that I wouldn't find another shoe that fits me... until the wild cross. WOW, literally, wow! I'm so impressed with the technical features and fit of this shoe. The lungs are beautiful, the weigh a lot less than I had expected- I was quite shocked at how beautiful the wrapped around my foot. My only issue is that they don't tighten as easily but it could be because I'm so used to the sensitive tight laces of the slab ultras. I'm so happy to add these to my arsenal of running shoes that are a MUST

After running in both the X Alpine Pro and sense ride 3 all Spring, the Wildcross is exactly what I have been looking for in a shoe. It's built for the technical trails and hella comfortable. I haven't found the technical limit or distance limit on these puppies but I'll keep trying!

I bought this shoe a couple weeks ago and have to say that I finally get the Salomon hype. I have traditionally felt Salomon shoes were too stiff and narrow in the toe box, but the Wild Cross has a comfortable shoe box with a responsive foot, paired with meaty traction. They make me run with confidence on the trails and I swear these will now be my go to trail running shoe for years to come.

These look heavy with the aggressive tread and reinforced upper, but I was pleasantly surprised how light they are! Better than the Speedcross 5, which I love. Really happy with the wider toe box and ankle stability. Great addition to the Salomon family. Please make this a yearly staple!
