This is truly the best pair of hiking boots I have had in my life. I always buy Salomon but this model totally checks off all the things that I needed!! Amazing comfort, lightness, fit , insole and inside lining soft and hugging your feet, the laces are the best thing ever !!! No more pain with laces untangling them selfs and fixing them during the walks!! This great lace system let you adjust them, hide them in the front pocket and go.I can't brag enough about the grip !!! The best soles with the best traction and grip!! I love these boots so much and can't thank you enough Salomon for making my hiking the best experience ever!!

These do so well in the conditions I put them through! I am crossing streams, trudging through snow and ice, and these take the elements. I don't have any issues with cold toes or water getting through. These are also very comfortable and I'm happy to wear them on the trail in any condition. Super lightweight!

These boots are so comfortable. The grip on them is absolutely amazing! I wore them on a 17+ mile hike with no hot spots. These are my go to boot all year round!

Nothing to complain about them, light as air but the grip is very strong. I'm usually 7 1/2, but 6 1/2 is the right fit for me for these.

After going through a few different brands which left me with bruised ankles on my multiday hikes, these feel great. They have a flexible upper that feels more like a trail running shoe than a hiking book. I'm happy.

My usual go-to hiking shoes are the X Ultra 3 Mid GTX boots, but they were unavailable for so long in my size that I decided to try something new. At first fit, I could not decide whether to go with my usual size (7.5) or move half a size up - neither felt quite right, but I ended up with my regular size as the half size larger felt too loose on my foot. The shoes themselves are ultra comfortable, very light, and have excellent grip. I loved these boots the first couple of (shorter - 10 km) hikes that I did, until I went on a two day much longer backpacking trip over some steep terrain. Everything was great going uphill, but as soon as the trail went steeply down, my toes jammed into the front of the shoes. At the end of the second day, every downhill step was torture. To top it off, like another reviewer noted, my shoes also started coming apart at the seams. I have never had a toe jamming issue with my other Salomon boots so I am not sure if I got the size wrong with these ones or if the boots just did not hold my feet in place as well as the other style. As much as I wanted to love these boots, for their initial comfort and lightness, I think that I will go back to the tried and tested X Ultra 3s.

These boots are my go to. They're light, durable and comfortable! Every time I go hiking I'm stopped by someone asking about my boots. Highly recommend.

I bought these hiking shoes about a month ago and have made a few smaller hikes with them and absolutely love the shoes. I like the ease of the shoelace system and the support these shoes provide on the trail. My feet do not slide nor do they get wet crossing small streams or creeks. These are great light-weight shoes for hiking and I am looking forward to testing them for some longer hikes.

I have had my lowtops for a year and a half+. They have been my best friend on miles and miles of trails. Monsoons, snow, rain, mud, rocks and rough fire roads. I hime 1-3 days a week and rely on my shoes to keep me in the move. Buying the mid-tops before the Cross Hike design is edited. Please dont stop making these!!!

Thought all hiking boots are somewhat uncomfortable. Not this I love so much I'm often wearing it on the street. Great comfort and style. Please make shoes for tennis!

Well done Salomon! I love the Speed Cross and wear that solely for all of my hiking and peak climbing. I was so happy to find the same TRACTION in a taller shoe for Spring snow and water conditions. They are a little loose with the lacing system around the ankle but it is also very comfortable, helps keep the water out, and perfect if you pair these with a little gaiter over the top of the shoe. I have been so happy with them. I wouldn't say I stay perfectly dry on an all day backcountry snow and stream crossing day, but pretty darn good! I would buy a second pair. I typically run between 7-7.5 in Salomon, these feel a little big and the 7 was nice and roomy.

Got these for my wife, and tested on a very hard hike. Everything about them was well received. Comfortable, great grip, and waterproof.

These boots are lightweight , comfortable and pretty warm. I have worn them all winter in Ontario Canada.
