I loved the Ultra 1, but the outer deteriated within 6 months! but decided since the outer had advanced, I would purchase the Ultra 3... I find it difficult to write a bad review, on a brand which I like so much, but these shoes are NOT for me.. firstly I had to go down 1/2 a size, because my usual size of 4 1/2 was huge! the 4 felt good, but after 1 hour of running I felt the sole of my foot really ached, and in the heel, especially in the achilleas and the stability poor (especially running parallel on steep ground). These trainer which the name suggest were not an Ultra trainer. I can't wear these anymore since it aggravates my achillaes, so they're now gathering dust in the garage!

I bought these shoes at the end of April of this year. I'm 61 years old, weigh 150 lbs., and am 5'10" tall. On the positive side I really love the fit and the lacing system. On the "things that didn't work out the way I expected" side the soles of my shoes wore thin much sooner than I expected. The picture below shows the wear after about 360 miles of walking and running on trails. I'm a heavy heel striker so I can somewhat expect fast wear on the heels of my shoes, but I did not expect how fast the shoes wore toward the toes.

It says it's a unisex shoe. Where is the women's sizing?
