I would like these better without the front pockets! Fits true to size. Zipper pocket is great. Waist fits well. Rise seemed a little short.

Pants were too big all around except the rise was maybe 1/2" too short. I ordered the XS with the S inseam. I'm 100 lbs and 5'. Comfortable, cool fabric. Style was really good looking for utility pants. Wish they had fit.

I have been looking for a light pant that I can take backpacking. The main thing I have been hoping for, in addition to comfort and weight has been a pant that I can remove without taking off my shoes! I finally found it. The legs are wide enough and the fabric is stretchy so I can pull them over my joggers. Additionally, I can wear them over a light base layer. BUT... they are HEAVIER than noted on this website. My pants (size small, regular length) weigh 7 oz. - they do NOT weigh 4.1 oz (I wish that they did...). Haven't worn them on the trail yet, but I am hopeful. Fingers crossed....

I first purchased a pair of these pants last year in the Capri style and loved them. In March, I bought a couple pairs of the pants for seamless work to crag transitions. They were amazing. One of the best features being the comfy deep pockets, which are so rare to find in women's pants. Unfortunately, the two pairs I purchased in May have a different style of pockets with uncomfortable woven fabric and less depth. Can't women just have decent pockets for once? Please bring back the original style!

I am a Dynama lover. I have at least 7 pairs of the 1 version and now one pair of the 2. They fit beautifully, wear beautifully, wash well. High quality. I wear these pants every day. I even have the lined ones for when its colder. Here's what Mountain Hardware needs to do for Dynama 3 - keep the seaming across the back from the 2s, but bring back the pockets from the 1s. its my only gripe about the 2s. You sit, and things fall out of your pocket. I walk dogs and love the pockets on the 1s, because i can have my cell phone in my pocket with no issues. Can't do that with the 2s. I have to scrunch it into the zip pocket - and thats only because i have a smaller phone! The pockets really are a bummer on the 2s, but everything else rocks. Thank you for making these amazing pants!

Ive had a few pairs of the ankle version of these pants and wanted the full length with the ankle draw string. Although the sizing chart says they are the same size, they are not. These run small!

I love Dynama pants in all styles. This time I ordered the same small I always wear, which fit very comfortably, and they were tight. I decided to keep them but they are not as comfortable.

I love my Dynama/2 shorts in size S, so I thought S would be the right size for the pants. However, they slide down to my hips. It seems maybe the waistband was over stretched. I've ordered the XS and hope they fit better. I'm 5'4", 118lbs.

I have two capris in this line and they are perfect. Was excited to get pants when I saw they had 34 inseam. I'm so disappointed in the fit. The thighs and calves are for stick people. If you have any muscle on your legs, these will be tight. They don't fit like the capris.

These are great except they fall down if you keep your phone in your pocket. The pair I bought in the darker color were tighter and less elastic around the waist. I ended up returning them.

I ordered two pairs of this particular pant in separate orders. I had never tried this brand or style of paint before. The first pair of pants fit great; I especially love the stretchy waist. I do wish, though, that the pants had two back pockets. The second pair I purchased did not fit well; they were really tight in the crotch and I had to send them back. It was almost like they were a small instead of a medium but the label indicated they were size medium as I had ordered. I assume the odd sizing is a quality control issue. I wanted to order another pair but this has made me a bit leery and I have not yet done so.

Had to get large cuz I've got hips, but my waist is smaller. There's no way to cinch the waistband. Even if my body was different I'd still be cautious of the pants hanging too low due to stretching during hard day of incline. Also, I agree with others about pockets, the side pockets are useless and stick out. Having anything in the thigh pocket as heavy as a phone would probably pull the pants down.
What I do like is the hip fit and flow of the legs. Very comfy for those with leg muscles.

The pockets are not too deep enough like the original one. Love the new options that you have 3 choices of inseam. When this pants first came out have only regular inseam. Love the material... but I will not give 5 stars review like the original version. Please bring the original back...

I own 5 pairs of Dynama hiking pants and they are simply the best for my needs. I ordered the Dynama 2 thinking they were the same but the are not! The Dynama 2 pants waist sits too low and is terrible for major hiking where as the Dynama pant sit just below my belly button and did not rise or comedown. My daughter who is smaller than me (I thought maybe they just ran small) wore them on an intense hike and they were a major fail (kept coming down when she had to scramble or bend over). The other issue is the Dynama had these awesome stretchy deep pockets that could securely hold my bear spray or other items. The new Dynama 2 pockets are good for nothing but chapstick, I wouldn't even trust my phone in them. The rest of the pant is ok but the waist and pocket thing is a total deal breaker. These pants are for people who are not avid hardcore hikers. Seriously you can't bend over in them without the waist slipping down. I am actually sooo sad about this as this is my go to pant. Please Please bring them back.

I've been wearing these pants for years and I'm really disappointed that you decided to change the design.
I find the side pocket bulky and the pull string on the bottom trim unattractive. Also the waistband is not as comfortable as it used to be.
Why you would want to change such an amazing pant?
I returned my purchase to the store
So disappointed

This model seems to be a replacement for Dynama pants that I have been wearing for years. Unfortunately, this new model did not meet my expectations. The previous model was very sleek, being suitable to wear as outdoor pair and as casual wear around town. This one is definitely a hiking version, not suitable for the latter. I wish they continued the prior model. The pockets are particularly unattractive -- they are sticking out like ears, expanding my hips.

These are definitely not Dynama 1. The pockets stick out on the sides, and I cannot get rid of the camel toe. Why do comfortable hiking pants have to be so short in the measurements from the seam up??? I ordered tall, meaning I am tall, meaning that I need more material.
The pants are so dang comfy, I thought I might be able to work it, but my bf was horrified.

I absolutely LOVE the original Dynama pant! I bought a pair of the Dynama 2 thinking they can't be that different... The material and general fit are still great but there's a few things that just didn't need changing.
1. The front pockets! What the heck is supposed to go in them and stay put?? They were totally functional before, and honestly the flared pocket is not very flattering.
2. The waist elastic band. The elastic part seems more narrow and digs in to your hips/ stomach now. Plus it is not as stretchy as it was. The original was the perfect balance of stretchy but not loose.
When I found out the original was done, I bought every pair I could find. These pants are my everyday, active, work pants and haven't found a better option. So yes I would still recommend them, but not quite as enthusiastically.

It seems Mountain Hardwear needs to hear it again and again until maybe something is done: the new pockets are useless and stick out (come on! the old ones were deep and didn't show at all!) and the new waistband is needlessly tighter so pulling up your pants requires a bit of contorsion (okay, it sits very well once it is up but why change the elastic band?!). Only good thing about the new version: the zip pocket.
Please bring back the old ones ! Deep, straight pockets that can fit a smartphone... and the stretchiest pants I know!

Man pockets in the new dynama pant. So sad. They stick out like wings no matter what size I try. What a disappointing upgrade.
I'm a pure smedium at 5'7 and 135#. Mediums to big, smalls to small. The new dynama pant has a weird not very-stretchy elastic in the elastic waist band.

Pants fabric is very comfortable but they weren’t a good fit for me. Too much fabric in the crotch area. Ended up returning.

I'm 5'5" with a 26" waist, 34" hips, and muscular glutes/thighs. These fit horribly. The waistband was loose to the point where walking made them slide down, crotch was super tight (camel toe, anyone?), but they fit my legs really well. Needless to say I'm sad these don't fit me and I'm returning all 3. The search for the perfect climbing pant continues...

I have 4 pair of the older Dynama pants and capris. Love them! I recently purchased 2 pairs of the current Dynama/2 pant and the cut is now very unflattering. The slanted front pockets bulge out and the waistline doesn't lay as flat as my old pairs. I also preferred the drawstring at the side of the leg for cinching them up when climbing.

Very nice pants but for me, they were too low cut. Did not fit properly.
