Would've been my second pair of Madsen's but the Tobacco color doesn't match the picture at all. True color is significantly darker and is more of a softer leather than the polished leather in the picture. Two very different looks from pictures to reality. These are phenomenal boots though and my original pair is 6 years old and those are still wearable. I'll try the tan version and hope those are better in person. The 4 star just represents the color issue. The boots are as good as the come in general though.

Comfortable boot.

I ordered multiple boots. I have some challenges with my feet. I need shoes that have good arch support and cushioning in the footbed, as well as a wider width. These boots are nice looking and comfortable. They are a bit like an elegant leather high top tennis without the athletic sole. Great for casual wear about town. I found these boots to be looser and wider then similar choose. There is very little arch support or insole cushioning. But the insole is removable and there is plenty of room for a custom insole to be inserted. I probably could have ordered a size or two smaller but had already worn them 4 or 5 times by the time I figured that out. So, I am keeping them and wearing extra thick socks. I ordered a size 11, they were 32.5 cm L x 11.5 cm W

I'm typically a 9.5 4W, so I was hesitant to try these based on some of the reviews. But living in the Northeast, I was looking for a reasonable fashionable and functional boot to get through the winter. My first order was a 9.5 and the width was great, but they were a little too long. I exchanged for a 9 and the length is right, but just a hair tight. I wore them around the house for a couple of hours and even though my feet were a bit sore, I feel they'll break in enough to be just what I'm looking for.

You fine folks sent me a pair of used boots and you have none to replace. Customer service was no assistance.

These are about an size large. Meant for the wider foot. I normally wear EE in my Red wings. These are comfy width wise.

These felt as if they would be really comfortable if I could find my size. I’m a size 11 or 11.5 D in hiking or running shoes. I tried the 10.5 but they were too big even with thick wool socks. I then bought a 10 thinking they would be perfect. Nope. Too small. Really tight in the forefoot, and my foot is rather narrow. Disappointing because they seemed comfortable otherwise.

These boots were a gift for my son. The first day he try to wear them, the shoe lace broke!!!!! This is somewhat disappointing especially for the price I paid for the boots!!!
