I was very disappointed with the black Madson II. I own a pair of the version 1 in major/cordovan (a grayish brown) color, and those boots are extremely soft and comfortable. However, the Madson II boots have a stiff, less-forgiving leather upper, the footbed isn't as soft, and the toe box is uncomfortably narrow. Too bad, because style-wise the Madson II boots look fantastic. Returned.

Great style but VERY uncomfortable. Different cut than last years model. They changed the sole but not sure what else. All I know is this boot is far less comfortable than the two pair I bought last year.

Haven’t worn them out yet but these are already pup-approved out of the box! It wasn’t easy to find some likable Pacific Northwest-friendly waterproof chukkas for indoor work and outdoor post-work too. I’ve been a Merrell fan for years but they stopped selling my favorite boot a few years ago. These already have a nice fit and — like so many other reviewers have mentioned — a really nice style. Hopefully these positive first impressions endure!

The style is great however the boot fits slightly different than last years model. I ordered two pairs last year (Grey and lt brown) and then ordered two this year (black and dark brown). The black pair is very uncomfortable in the forefront of my foot forcing me to loosen the laces as much as possible. Not sure what they changed or if I just got a bad pair falling on the low side of tolerance.

This is now my go to shoe for work (business casual) and going out. Feels like walking on air and they look great. Loved them so much I bought 2 pairs. Don't change this boot Sorel.

One of the best shoes I have ever purchased. You truly get what you pay for.
One downside is that the laces require some improvement. They are thin and not long-lasting.

Really comfortable walked all day in rainy Europe and feet were warm and dry. Really nice looking and easily go from day time touring to a little nicer evening dinner. Looks good with jeans or nicer slacks.

Best boot ive ever owned I bought 3 more but after 2 years, I'm still on the first pair and the other 2 are still in storage. My biggest tip: buy Darn tough socks and an insole. I can walk 5-8 miles at a time with this set up, and with DT socks, my feet don't smell :) after 2 years, One of the threads did break at the back but it has NO affect on the shoe at all.

True to size and width fit. Comfortable out of the box …after break in should be like slippers! Good looking boot! Solid feel and quality I’d expect from Sorel. Probably going to buy another pair in a different color!

I bought these for my husband to have cute snow-proof shoes! He is normally a 10.5 or 11 and I bought these in a 9.5 to fit the same. Great brown color!

So comfortable! Great in the cold weather too. I live in Idaho and I can wear these in the snow too. Sorel makes quality comfortable shoes that last years!

Purchased in May of 2021. It is not Nov 11 2021. At first i loved the boots. Super comfortable, even had compliments from customers. I work indoor, business casual work attire so they're not getting beat up or anything. The soles wear out pretty quick compared to other boots i've owned. At only 5 months the front of the sole is peeling off. Very disappointed with the longevity especially considering the cost.

These are awesome boots, comfortable and I ordered both Major and Tobacco color - they looks so classy. I wear size 11.5 but for some reason it felt half size large - so I exchanged them with size 11. and it feels great. I highly recommend it if you want something to wear out on a date or outing.
