Hi, Can anyone tell me if the gel kayano 27 are good for shin splints? TIA

Loved my kayano 26 shoes but upgraded as have worn them down. Same comfort and performance from 27s so doesn't really feel like an "upgrade" but perfectly happy. Loved the colour of my 26s (midnight/frosted almond) and wish this hadn't been discontinued

Generally very comfortable shoes. I do Orangetheory 3-4 times per week, and replace these shoes every 4-6 months to avoid plantar fasciitis or shin splints. For some reason this pair hasn't been kind to my soles from the get go, but I've had great success with my Gel Kayanos in the past!

I have purchased the Kayano 4 times in the past and was very pleased with them but this time the Kayono 27 was a whole size too large. There was more than an inch in front of my toe. I returned for a half size smaller, but that too had plenty of room in front of the toe. The return was easy but I decided not to do it again and will keep these. They seem to be fine for walking on the treadmill. Plenty of room in the front of the arch. The heel fits fine.

As always ASICS do disappoint . Great pair of runners. Only criticism is that the laces are not as strong as they have been on previous pairs. Still happy with my purchase.

I've never felt support like it and very cushioned,they have changed my entire running technique. Brilliant support for people with flat feet

Great fit, smashing design. Ive given it 4 because every Asics Ive ever bought the toe rubs a hole through it. Would like to see extra protection where the toe is to prevent this from happening. Overall though, I have been a fan for 10 years and continue to buy them.

Great trainers, the only negative is as the trainers are shipped from Germany, with UK leaving the EU, they take a long time to arrive.

Nice and supportive and light. One concern is that it feels like my heel could slide out of the sneakers easily. Did not notice while running but definitely an adjustment and noticed while walking around.

I got these for walking. They're my second pair, great padding, but make my feet look like huge flounders. Next time I'll get two toned trainers, which make the feet look smaller. Also, the shoe laces are shorter this time. Good way to save money but charge more?

New Asics shoe for me as always been a Gel Nimbus fan but knees, tendons and slight pronation now require a different shoe. I haven't run for a while becuase of trying to find the right shoe so a bit out of the routiune as well. This shoe feels good, I had no twinges or strains upon my return from two separate runs. Supportive but feel in touch with the ground - just the mix Iike.

I've had trouble with my knee and thought it's time to take the plunge and buy some decent trainers. I'm currently running approximately 5k 2 to 3 times a week. So far so good. Ordered 1/2 size bigger as reviews said snug fitting which is spot on, still a little tight around bunion area.Ran in them for first time yesterday and my knee isn't aching this morning. Fingers crossed I've found the perfect trainer .

Kayano 27, nice comfortable shoe. Feels light while still giving good support

Overall great looking sneaker. The tongue wasn't stitched properly in the inside leaving it quite raggedy. However as it is on the inside I am the only person privy to that information. There was a couple of white specs, perhaps paint? on the blue part on the side unfortunately. Which took away from its overall look. Again not heartbreaking. I find the laces are not long enough if your foot is wide and you loosen the laces wider you don't have any room to tie the laces properly, it would need at least 3 more inches each side. A final point would be even taking the width of the laces to the maximum the sneaker stops expanding so if you have a wider foot it has a tightness. I am hopeful that through time this will ease. Overall it's a good looking sneaker and an 8.5 out of 10 for comfort. To be fair I trust the brand and the company as I have been wearing ASICS for many year. Besides the small flaws the company and brand are undoubtedly my first choice in this attire.

Really love these shoes. Glad they made wide as they are narrow. Wish the silver, grey, speckled ones were wide as I loved the look of those.

You need to go up half a size but really like the trainers , feel very supportive and cushioned

Pretty trainers, sole is quite sturdy rather than soft, but they're comfy to run in after wearing them in a few times.

Delivery was slower than timescales quoted on website to the point that I thought the order may have been rejected, it was only through emailing that I then got a dispatch email in reply. Trainers however are extremely comfortable, I often have trouble with my knees if I go running and these first time out provided with the support and spring underfoot that I had no issues.
