A lightweight minimal shoe in 2023 is a novelty - I am happy that Brooks keeps this design around (and hopefully longer).

For me, a race walker, this shoe could not be more perfect. The sole is flat and firm, the drop is low, and the bend behind the toe is exactly right. Ride cushion: perfect, not spongy. Neutral fit is still good even though I tend to walk on the outer edges of my feet. Tempo is light but solid, good for races and training. Just the slightest bit narrow (medium D), but not much. I compensate with open lacing near the toe to increase the toe box. With use, this may change. No problem, really. I may buy an insurance pair. I would hate to see this model discontinued.

A carbon-like shoe without the price. Just got mine. On hill work, it's a beast. That rare balance of pace & pick-up & go.

Greetings Brooks staff andi inventive shoe cobblers,
Love my New Brooks!
I first bought New Balance 880 v 13's and thought they were the most comfortable and supportive shoes I have ever worn.
Then my Brooks arrived at my door and they are as comfortable and supportive as my New Balance running shoes.
I will be 64 years old on September 30th and I think of the Beatles lyrics, " will you still need me will you still feed me when I'm 64?"
Well I'll still need my comfy Brooks running shoes.
My feet have never been happier. My golden years have become more golden.
Thanks Brooks from a much happier senior citizen. Oops gotta run!
Happy trails all. !!!
Respectfully and gratefully,
John Sullivan

The Hyperion tempo looks really good out of the box. Once on my feet they felt like a light weight comfortable glove. I've ordered a second pair since wearing my first pair because of the all day comfort.

The shoes are super lightweight but durable. I use them almost daily and I haven't had an issue other than a slightly narrow toe box which created a small blister.

Great shoe! Firm and feels fast with a breathable upper. I bought these and a pair of Ghost 15s at the same time and find myself drawn to the Hyperions whenever I can justify it. I've only put about 20 miles on them so far, but I like them for what they're meant to be. They're not the shoe for those cushy easy miles, but on a day that you want to put yourself through the paces with speedwork, intervals, or a tempo run, they're great!
Where the Ghosts left me feeling sluggish and sweaty, these breathe really well and just make me want to go fast. They have a firm ride and enough rubber to keep you feeling confident taking turns, even on wet pavement or loose gravel. The heel-toe drop is significant and wouldn't be comfortable for a heel-strike runner, but for a neutral runner with strong forward posture, they feel very natural.
The upper has little-to-no padding in the toe and minimal padding in the tongue, but transitions to a supportive heel with a surprisingly high ankle. For anything over a 10k, this might feel a little harsh, but it's great for fast runs in hot weather.
The one thing I'm not entirely sold on is the type of lace. They're supposedly "locking" laces, meaning they're very flat and limp, but have small bumps spaced about 1/4" apart on either side, which theoretically prevents slippage. So far, I haven't had them come untied, but I don't love the design.

Really enjoy running on these. Super light ans Really comfortable. I wouldn't recommend this shoe to runners who prefer a wide fit. They might find it difficult to adjust to the narrow style of this shoe but I think they have a wide fit as well. Overall great shoe. I just bought another pair in a different color !

This is my first pair of Hyperion Tempo. I typically love the Adrenaline but the new 23's felt heavy. I'm enjoying these after about 20 miles of breaking them in.

This is my second pair. They are the lightest running shoes I own and I feel like they help my legs keep from feeling heavy when I run. Also love the colors! It says navy but they are really more of a dark purple which I like better.
