I love these shoes! I preface my review just to provide credibility to my words. I have been training for many years and have been exposed to many different shoes. As such, I have tried many brands and have a regular shoe rotation.
I am a big fan of light weight trainers and had been using Adidas Bostons for most of my training. My buddy turned me on to the Brooks Hyperion Tempo as I had never really been a Brooks fan in the past. I had tried several Brooks shoes in the past, most recently the Launch.
Then entered the VaporFly. A high stack height ultralight carbon shoe. This is a great shoe but not for training. I wanted to find a trainer that was light weight but still had similar stack height and cushioning. Behold the Hyperion Tempo. This shoe has become my daily trainer for a number of reasons. After 500 + miles in these shoes I can sing their praises. They are light weight. They are not too stiff. They are roomy ( I have wide feed). No blisters, no metatarsal pain, no achilles pain, no plantar pain...no issues.
I was worried about the heel cup being too rigid, but it is really comfortable. I was worried about the lace stretch, but that works to my advantage. No hot spots on the anterior foot, no shoe wobble, no hammering the toe into the front of the shoe! These shoes work and they work great! I have run many 20+ mile runs in these shoes and they are fantastic at any distance.
I do not feel that this is a race shoe. This is a high mileage trainer. Most can race in this shoe but if you want to push your limits there are faster carbon shoes to use. I have read the reviews of this shoe and a few say that they are narrow. In my experience this is not the case. I have wide feet and these work for me. I have read that they are not cushioned enough. I find them extremely well cushioned. Like I said, 500+ miles in and I have not had a single issue. I replace my trainers at around 250 miles.
Please consider this shoe as a high stack height light weight trainer. You will not regret buying these!

I?ve had Asics. Tried ONs. I ended up with Brooks. When those became worn out, I replaced them with these. I?m flat footed and these are the best shoes I?ve ever worn.

Brooks Hyperion Tempo running shoes are the ideal balance between light yet supportive shoes. I've only run about 30mi in these, but they feel great and don't need time to break in. The shoe is extremely supportive around the ankle and has great traction. When it comes to function this might be one of my favorite running shoes. As for the materials, I have to constantly clean my shoes after runs. They easily get dirty. However the product is well made and I feel confident that these shoes will hold up fairly well.

These shoes are fantastic. I can't believe how light they are. They feel even better when you pick up the pace. Nice soft cushioning as well. One minor complaint is they felt a little clunky during easy/slow running. I absolutely love them for any speed work.

Have always been a Brooks fan, Pure Flow was my go to shoe for many years. Decided to give these a shot was not disappointed. Light weight feel but not bulky like other running shoes, can still feel the road under my feet. Great fit, only recommendation would be to widen the toe box. It is a near perfect shoe, will definitely buy again.

I?m on my second pair. I like this shoe. Light weight but still enough support and cushion. My favorite Brooks shoe to date.

Absolutely love these shoes so far. They are very light but they feel surprisingly cushioned. I had a track session planned after I bought them, but I really wasn't looking forward to running in a harder soled shoe that morning, so I was going to go with my Ghosts. Then I said, I just spent a lot of money on these so I might as well start using them. Well, I was very pleasantly surprised at how soft they felt for a racing shoe. Now, I have no hesitation to use them whatsoever on any interval or tempo day. They are also very comfortable in general. Definitely very happy with this purchase.

I really enjoyed it on my first few fast runs. Used them on the intervals and I was surprised with how they felt. Nice cushioning and definitely responsive. Mainly using for speed work of up to 7 miles

Good shoe. Plenty of support and lightweight. I am just starting to run again after about a 7-year hiatus. I have always run in Glycerin shoes, but I am glad that I tried the Hyperion Tempo. 10/10 would recommend.

Great shoe to race in. Light and has just enough support for the pounding on the road.

Shoe fits perfect and extremely comfortable while running. The lightest running shoe I've ever had with plenty of support. First pair of Brooks running shoes and will not be the last.

The Hyperion Tempos are ultra light and super comfortable. I have struggled with shin splints ever since my younger years in the military. I have never had a shoe that eased this issue for me till now. The Tempos have taken care of this for me. A man in our gym has a pair and made the same remarks. As of now I have zero issues with this shoe. I just hope that they are as durable as they are comfortable. Thank you Brooks!

Love this show but this an out of the box review. I have hard to fit feet- narrow heel, wide toe area and wear a women's 12 (a bit tight in the toes usually). so, I tried a mens 11.5 (and got a color that I think hubby won't wear, he wears the same size and forgets which are his). The comfort level is phenomenal. I do gym work and am not a runner and I think they will be perfect for that- elliptical, rowing machine, classes, etc.

I was skeptical at first because the last pair of Brooks I owned gave me horrible shin splints and I had to return them. I am a mid/fore foot striker and this heel/toe drop on the Hyperion Tempo was perfect. These shoes are comfortable and have a great design to energize your run! I do about 15-20 miles a week and these are holding up great so far. Would definitely recommend a pair to anyone that asked. Also, you can't beat that Brooks satisfaction guarantee. Yet another reason to trust the shoes :) The only drawback is I wish that they had a grey option and an all white option.

Best pair of Brooks I ever owned. I have been running in all Ghost but decided to try these out because they said they were lightweight. They are very comfortable and fast. Will be buying another pair soon!!

I NEVER write reviews for any products. I can honestly say these are the best runners I've ever worn. In the last month alone I've bested a 5k PR and a 10K PR. I'm on pace to break the 2 hour half marathon barrier in 5 weeks and these shoes are going a long way in helping me achieve this goal. I went ahead and bought a second pair after putting in 30 miles with these bad boys. The upper feels like you have nothing on. The sole prompts a proper forefoot strike and when I fatigue and miss my forefoot the cushioning really absorbs the shock and gets you back on track. My joints do not ache at all (I would consider myself an intermediate runner at 38). The only thing I noticed was my calves were quite sore after the first few runs, but that is because of the forefoot prompt - which again is a positive for any runner. These have SO much bounce! Well done Brooks!

I've run in the Pureflows for 10 years and bummed they were discontinued. I was suspicious of these because they look like foam and are in the "speed" category. I'm 5'10" 215. not built for speed and weight can be a beating on shoes.
After a couple of runs i'm in love with there. much more stable than I was expecting from such a light shoe. worth the premium cost and very much enjoy running in these bad boys!
