I have about 5 pairs of the 19 version because they were my favorite. The tongue of this version (21) is my absolute least favorite. These also feel ?clunkier?.

The back had less structure than the 20 and 19s. The back of my upper heels kept getting scraped up from the lack a smooth transition from the front to back heel. Overall, it just didn't feel as structured as all of the other adrenaline's I've purchased (which would be a lot).

First off, I have a love/hate relationship with these shoes. I purchased them at a sporting goods retailer so I had the opportunity to try on a couple of pairs for comparison. Not only did I like the look of these and the Revel 5 (I bought both pairs that day), I appreciated the comfortability of the shoe as well. While I am not a runner, I and my husband are avid walkers, logging between 10 and 15 miles five days a week on these shoes. He chose the Ghost and Levitate which he loves but I digress. My love for the shoes is they?re sturdy enough and supportive enough without killing my arches and allowing me maximum stride. The hate part comes in where, for some strange reason or another, these shoes make the front half of my feet numb. I wear moisture-wicking socks and the issue was even worse when I wore thinner socks; almost as though my feet slid around in the shoes and made for a horrible walk and excruciating foot pain. So switching socks helped a lot, but that numbness persists even on the lightest walks. My feet are fine until I hit the one mile mark and then they go numb. And oddly enough, it?s not every time I wear these shoes so I?m not sure if I still need to break them in or if something else is going on. The reason I don?t wear my Revel 5s as much is I want to get my feet used to wearing one pair before I try acclimating and adjusting to another. Sounds weird, I know, but the Revel 5 is so much more comfortable and forgiving. Aside from that, I bought them in a lighter color so I prefer wearing the Adrenaline?s for their darker color and the fact they handle equally well on different terrain?I just don?t like the fact my feet are numb when wearing them.

Please fix whatever you changed this year! I have been running in Adrenalines since the first year you made them. This is one of those years where you changed something and they immediately feel bad when I put them on out of the box instead of that feeling of ?omg thank god for new running shoes!? The arch is high and hard and hurts the bottom on my feet. The ankles come up higher and rub on my ankle bones, making them sore. I?m scouring the Internet for the gts 20s, because I cannot wear these! Please reverse whatever you did to the 21s! Sincerely, a devoted brooks adrenaline runner

Shoes and my feet do not normally get along, that was until Brook's running shoes. I?m in the military so I do a lot of movement drills when I workout. These are perfect for all variations of indoor gym workouts. Recently I got the Adrenaline GTS 21 after having several other variations of Brooks in the past. I needed something with a little more support for my toe bridge, as I have bunions in both my feet. I challenged myself to be able to walk for at least 5 miles a day in these shoes to prepare me for my honeymoon to Disney World. Hands down, these shoes went above and beyond this test. I spent six days at Disney World, started off with half a day in these and half a day in my other daily shoe, the Oasis gel-nimbus. I stopped wearing the Oasis?s and kept the Adrenaline?s on the entire time. Six days, 8.5 miles averaged each day, in these shoes. I?ve never 1) been able to walk that far for that long (12 hours ish) each day without having foot, knee or hip pain 2) without switching into a second or even third pair of shoe. These are amazing. Hands down the best shoe I?ve ever worn and will ever continue to wear. I wear orthopedic inserts in my other shoes but not with these. There is nothing that I do not like about this shoe.. I just pray Brooks doesn?t change it too much in its next version.
