I have been running in the brooks adrenaline since 2005 and even worked for a number of years at a running store selling them. However, the last few years the durability of the adrenaline has greatly diminished. The upper part of the shoe around the ankle only stays intact for a few weeks. I've had several pairs in the last 2 years and each pair has fallen apart in the first month. I want to continue to buy them but it makes me nervous knowing that within a few weeks the fabric around the ankle will fray and rip apart leaving the shoes looking like a puppy attacked them. Please make that area more durable I love these shoes and want to continue to spend the money on what should be a quality product.

Good fit and support, but pretty slippery on wet pavement and I nearly fell when I stepped on a painted curb after the rain. I'll have to return them.

I don't usually write reviews but I love this sneaker! I have very flat feet but often times support shoes make be run on the outside of my foot and are so uncomfortable to me. I've switched between ASICS and other Brooks models for years trying to find the right one. This shoe gave support in all the right places and is so cushiony. I do wish they had a little more spring to them but I anticipate getting used to that over time!

They are very light weight, supportive shoes. The tongue is too small and the sides too stiff. They rub my ankle.

Hi Fellow Runners and Walkers, I am very pleased with the new GTS 21! I love the cushioned front and the soft laces. They're easy to adjust . The comfort in running is smooth. I run 4 to 5 days a week and walk on the other days. I use these same shoes for my 3 mile walks. Perfect also for walking. Overall, I love them. Thank You Brooks. :)

These shoes are awesome! I previously had Brooks Addiction 1340, which were heavy and clunky and hurt my ankles and were uncomfortable in the tongue area. I tried the Adrenaline GTS 21 on a whim. I LOVE THEM! They are light and airy, yet cushion-y. The ankle and tongue are much improved. And I love the new laces that I believe Brooks will replace free any time they wear out. They stay tied! This is a great shoe and highly recommended!! Thank you Brooks! (I vacillate between buying Brooks and New Balance, but this shoe will make me a loyal Brooks customer!).

I've been buying Brooks Adrenaline shoes for about 10 years, but these pair are redesigned. They rub on the inside of my foot and hurt! The tongue is really narrow and I'm thinking this might be pulling it differently. It hurts to wear them more than a day in a row. Other than that, they are fine.

So far I am in love with the Adrenaline GTS 21. I have not had to adjust my laces (sounds simple but true); these are highly recommended!

Great cushioning, comfortable, and roomy! Since I am an under pronator, I could have used a bit more support for my over supination ie walk/run on the outside of my shoes. Otherwise they are perfect! True to size as well.

They feel really flimsy and unsupportive. Definitely nowhere near what I am used to when I get a new pair of shoes (for so much $$). I'm disappointed. Its the first pair I've ever ordered that I wasn't happy with.

The only color available in size 12 WW is oyster. There is only one color each year in size 12 WW. I have waited an entire year for the UGLIEST sneaker I have ever owned!!! The picture implied that the teardrops were baby blue but they are not; they are all black. A grey shoe with black spots as a girl's only choice for an entire year! Why in the world would you make a sneaker so UGLY as the only option for tall people?? Now I have to wait an entire year for a new shoe. The one pair available from last year was black and orange, which was also ugly, has a hole in the toe because it is cloth and the toe is not reinforced. I need to find a new brand of sneaker that fits me the way the Adrenaline does, in size 12 WW, that comes in a color a girl wants to wear.

I have never run in anything other than Adrenalines. I've had probably near to 12 pairs, dating back to the GTS 11 I think. I've even got my husband wearing them as everyday shoes now and he loves them. While they're almost always the best shoe around, I've noticed that a couple model years were so different that they were unwearable (for me).
The GTS16 destroyed my knees and ruined my running momentum for over a year (I must have gotten a bad pair- they were brand new so I thought there was no way my shoes were causing the knee issues). I just purchased a pair of 20s and will be returning them today. The wide width in the size I have always ordered is ridiculously tight across the widest part of my foot, so I haven't even taken them out for a run. I hope the 21s are better because I want to continue to trust Brooks to provide my feet with great support and keep me running.
To reflect what others have said- I would love to see more color in the collections. The amount of combinations is excessive, but four or five nice, colorful options would be great. Also, it would be great if those of us with wide/extra wide feet didn't have to settle for the ugliest version (hello, granny shoes!).
Overall, I love these shoes and I wish I could afford to stockpile when I find a great model year, because they seem to have peaks and valleys.

I have been a Brooks fan for years for the arch support and wide sizes. I don't run but I walk A LOT and these are great!

It runs a bit long. I like the support, but the narrow shaped tongue has been a little problematic for me. It allows the laces to dig into the top of my foot. This will probably get better with more use. I appreciate being able to get my uncommon size- 13AA.

Already returned them and got bought two pairs of GTS 20. Was really disappointed with GTS 21. Did not feel they were more cushiony, actually they felt less cushiony to me. And the tongue was quite a bit narrower, and I didn't like that either. I hope the GTS 20s never go away, or else I'll have to find a totally different running shoe.
