I've worn Brooks running shoes for many, many years. In the past years, I've worn Brooks Adrenaline, and Brooks Glycerin. This is the first time I've ordered Brooks Ghost. I chose Ghost because I didn't like the colors currently available in the other Brooks running shoe styles. I am currently wearing Brooks Glycerin 17 (women's size 10B), in a fabulous fuchsia/purple & black color combo with a red/orange sole (Black/Fiery Coral/Purple). I was so disappointed that I could not find a similarly wonderful color combination in a new pair of Brooks. I am really going to miss my purple & black running shoes... :-( I tried on the Brooks Ghost 13, but haven't yet worn these shoes for my daily walks. This style does not feel as cushioned as the Glycerin. The Ghost feels a bit more stiff and more supportive than the Glycerin 17, but it probably will be fine. The uppers on the Ghost 13 in the color I chose (Black/Blackened Pearl/White) are made of a material that is very similar to my older Glycerin 17: the front of the shoe is made of fabric that has a grid of little peep holes, and the upper layer is black, and the inner layer is, I guess, Blackened Pearl, or grey. I like this fabric. The laces on the Ghost 13 are long enough and not so long that they have to be tied twice to keep them from dragging on the ground! The laces are great! In the color I chose, the black laces disappear against the black upper of the shoe. I wear Brooks running shoes for walking. I walk about 5 miles a day, every day, on sidewalks and streets. I have found that the soles on Brooks shoes wear out much too quickly. The upper part of the shoe lasts much longer than the sole, which is frustrating because I have to buy new shoes too quickly and the top part of the shoe is still in good condition. I wish Brooks would use a more durable material for the soles of their running shoes. Are you listening, Brooks? I am typically a size 9, or size 40, in most shoe brands. My longest foot is exactly 10 inches long. I've always worn Brooks women's size 10B, and that size fits best for me in all Brooks styles. So, although I indicated that this shoe "felt true to size," it is actually only true to Brooks sizing, and I always have to buy Brooks shoes one size larger than my typical size 9. The Ghost 13 in a regular width (10B) is wide enough for my slightly square-shaped foot, and the heel fits my narrow heel. So, even though the Ghost 13 is stiffer and less cushy than the Glycerin, I think it will be fine for walking. I wish Brooks would make their shoes in better colors. Their color choices are awful! Oh, here's an interesting note: Occasionally, my Brooks running shoes will get too dirty if I wear them in a dusty location. I wash them by hand in a sink, or on the patio with a hose. I have used a soft brush to clean the soles and a sponge to clean the uppers. Sometimes they need a little bit of mild shampoo or dish detergent diluted in water. I remove the insoles before washing them, and let them dry in the sun before I put the insoles back in the shoes. I haven't noticed any damage to the shoes from cleaning them by hand. Sometimes, I use my vacuum cleaner to clean the uppers -- I have a Miele vacuum with a hose & soft brush attachment and this method often works great to clean dusty running shoes (if I wear them on a dry dirt trail.)

Brooks Ghost 13 running shoes are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I need wide shoes and these are great.

The Brooks Ghost 13 run true to size. I know a lot of people love this sneaker. I personally need more cushion and support so I exchanged them for the Brooks Glycerin GTS 19.

The outside of the toe box runs pretty narrow; I was surprised at how uncomfortable they are. I sized up a half size for running, and that didn’t make a difference. I exchanged for the same style, but in wide with. I hope that helps.

Fit was great and look was fine (though imo Brooks could offer some color combinations that don't scream GIRLY!!! quite so loudly); support profile was too squishy for my taste. I also ordered the Brooks Revel and like the feel better - more structured and springy.

Size and fit are great. Seems consistent with earlier models that fit my mom and she is very happy with her new shoes.

I have arthritic knees and now have to wear good support shoes nearly all the time. I bought a pair of these to try in and around the house - I take a 6.5 wide. It has been like night and day. What a difference. Can't fix the arthritis but I can stand longer and feel much better support. I bought a second pair for when I go out of the house - those I use for my walks, shopping etc. At first I thought the 6.5 were just a little short at my big toe so for the second pair I bought the 7. Now that I have worn the 6.5 for a couple of months they are just fine. But the 7 are fine as well. The wide width (always an issue for my broad feet) is perfect on me. Expensive yes but well worth it. Will for sure continue to buy. One point to watch - the soles are very ridged and I found initially that they were catching on the carpets.

Great neutral, they run about a half size big, but over all great

Extremely comfortable shoes. With my own orthotics in, I can stand at work all day without foot pain. Very happy I bought them.

I typically wear a size 7 in all my shoes, but I have to order size 8 in Brooks. Felt super comfortable the first time I put them on. Love, love, love!!!

These shoes are great. I walk 4 miles a day and I blow through athletic shoes. I can tell these are going to last. These shoes are so comfortable and there was no break in period. I love them!

Wore them on 3 mile walk right out of the box and they were great. Cushiony, yet supportive. True to size.

I've started sizing up in my athletic shoes, from my usual women's 8 to 8.5. With these shoes I had to size up a full size. It's not that the toe box isn't wide enough; it isn't TALL enough. My toes feel squished down in an 8.5. I've been wearing these for a week now; they're a teeny bit long but they are comfortable and I get enough arch support. I walk all day in my job; I don't use these for running. The big question is are they worth $129.00? I LOVE my Asics Gel Contend 6....so comfy and price at around $50.00 they might be better value for me. Bottom line -- I like these. I don't think they're the greatest thing since sliced bread.

These are amazing. I am a tall woman with big feet and super high arches and it's always a bit PITA trying to find shoes that fit and are comfortable. I usually wear a 12 in women's and straddle the line between normal and a wide width, but I saw that Brooks makes a size 13 in this shoe so I wanted to give that a go. I purchased 3 shoes: Brooks Ghost 13 in a size 12W Brooks Ghost 13 in a size 13 regular Brooks Launch 8 in a men's 10.5 regular I tried the size 13 on first. I was amazed at how it immediately felt comfortable. I had a good thumb's width between my big toe and the front of the shoe. The width was nice. Laces were sturdy and the sole had a nice bounce to it. The size 12W was noticeably smaller and tighter. To me it actually felt less wide than the 13 regular. I immediately rejected that shoe given how great the size 13 felt. The men's Launch 8 fit okay but the laces were super cheap feeling and I just didn't get the same "walking on air" feeling I did with the Ghost 13. So I ultimately kept the size 13 in the Ghost 13 and returned the other shoes. Ladies if you have large feet like me and are debating between the 12 and the 13, I say go for the 13. I've worn them multiple times so far for walking and running and they haven't given me any blisters. I feel like my feet are really supported in these shoes and they're just SO comfortable. I'm very tempted to buy a couple of pairs in this size because it's so rare for me to find a shoe that fits and feels as amazing as these do!

Really disappointed because I love Brooks , but this color combination doesn’t work !! It’s been barely 2 months that I order the white/lilac/yucca combination and the white is all grey and I try cleaning it following instructions and nothing , still grey … this shoes I only use for Disney parks and at home , no trail , gym or hike. Would love to exchange but for another color !!
