I have the Ghost 12 and love them. But this newest version, Ghost 13, has changed the tongue shape. It is more pointy and pokes into my ankle. It makes it feel like there is too much fabric when I am exercising. I haven't gotten used to the feeling and it irritates my ankle so I have to return these.

I really wanted to love these shoes. I fell head over heels with the Brooks Ghost 12's a year or so ago. They were hands down the best running shoe I've ever worn. The fit (I wear a size 8.5) was perfect. More than anything, the support of the 12's was an excellent mix of firmness and flexibility. I have osteoarthritis in my left toe. The 12's were the only shoes that didn't irritate it. So I bought the 13's hoping that Brooks didn't mess with a great thing. But the support of the 13's is not the same. They are lighter and too flexible for me. Probably great for fast runners without foot injuries! So I had to return them. Zappos' customer service was absolutely amazing because they were lightly used. I walked in them 3 times. Hope this is helpful.

True fit, size 8. I always wear 7.5 for normal shoes, but go up to 8 on my running shoes. Just a personal preference. Great cushion and support. I am a neutral foot, not pronated or supinated and the Ghost has always been a great fit for my feet. Run approximately 20-25 miles/week, varying grass and roads.

Was out walking 4 miles the first day, no soreness or blisters.. The only feature that would benefit me is reinforcement over the toe area I am sure within 3 months there will be a hole from my big toe.
