very good support and terrific ride, just a little narrower than the previous version.

I thought this was a nice update. I actually have different models of Brooks for different applications. I like a lighter more minimal shoe for trails and speed work, but I love the Ghost 13 for a mid-distance and gym work shoe. The addition of Loft in the midsole and snuggled up the fit a bit and they actually feel more responsive to me than the 12s did. There's definitely a shoe out there for every purpose, but for me, these are my do everything's, love em!

Not many options out There for Wide feet running shoes. I had to buy these because my Nike epic reacts gave me blisters due to the narrow fit. Another thing I don?t like about Nike shoes (With fly knit uppers) is that my foot tends to roll laterally over the side of the shoe. I?ve put about 50 miles on these shoes so far. They?re very comfortable and light.

I have been a Brooks loyalist for running shoes for years, and this one fits perfectly, same size as all my previous pairs. It is true to size. The one thing you will notice when you take the shoes out of the box is the amount of cushion on the bottom. You will also notice it as soon as you put them on and take a step. Even compared to the Ghost 12, which I also have, the cushioning is significantly greater. That extra cushion does end up making the shoes look a little clunkier than others, but when I’m running I’m not really going for style, and they are by no means ugly. Those looking for a more minimalist shoe will probably want to look elsewhere, but these aren’t really designed for the runner trying to simulate barefoot running anyway. They have the comfort and support of a walking shoe, but are lightweight and thus a great option for runners who like a little extra support. I’m not someone who runs marathons or even 10 K s. I usually run about 2-3 miles a few times per week. So I can’t speak to how these perform on super long distances. But they do offer great support on my runs, for both the heel and the ball of my foot. I can also say that they are the best running shoe I’ve ever worn, and I was impressed at how big of a difference (aka improvement) there was between the Ghost 12 and this one. I put these on and immediately went for a 3 mile run, and they felt like I had already broken them in. In other words, they are ready to go right out of the box.

Great shoe. Just took 'em out for a hilly city 7 miler yesterday morning. Have been running in ghosts for a few years now - they work great for my stride style. Hard to say I feel a difference in the midsole, simply because new shoes always feel so fresh and smooth. I notice the upper mesh feels a bit more supportive and tighter in the toe box (only slightly), I like this though. Low key, I really like the change to the tongue shape. That plus the redesigned upper give the 13 more of a sleek and athletic look than its predecessors. Good job brooks!

Greetings, In my opinion It's good for walking and standing, but not for a long run 5+mi. I wanted to try Brooks Ghost 13 because of some reviews but I still love my Adidas Ultraboost 20 better.

I wear the Ghost 13?s for walking. These are the 4th pair of ghost I have owned. Each upgrade gets a little better on my feet. I am approaching walking 3000 miles in the past 2 years and probably could not have done it without Brooks.

Purchased these approximately 1 week ago. I've had a couple runs of these, ~3-4 miles each, and I'd have to say that overall I'm satisfied with the purchase. I bought my first pair of Brooks 1 year ago (Glycerin 17's), and at the time I couldn't imagine wearing any other shoe. It was plush as ever, most comfortable shoe I've ever owned and lasted quite a bit. However, something changed with this new generation of shoes. The glycerin 18's felt way less plush, stiffer throughout but mostly at the forefoot. I was very disappointed. Also, the cut of the ankle collar was way higher than the 17's, which made them so uncomfortable to wear that I had to return them. This brings me to the Ghost 13: my first pair of ghosts. Overall, the transition from heel/mid-foot to forefoot Is effortless and smooth. It's super comfortable and you can definitely feel the support. Like the glycerin 18's, the ankle collar is cut high and gives me discomfort at the lateral ankle. This is possibly a very individual issue and may not be a complaint of most runners. Nonetheless, that is my complaint with the shoe, albeit the only one. Hoping that the shoes just need to be broken-in a bit and the discomfort will resolve. I do wish that Brooks would lower the cut of the ankle collar or consider a "fly knit" or "sock top" type of collar to make it more comfortable.

Really like the feel of the Ghost 13. I felt the Ghost 12's were a bit too snug and never got used to the fit. The 13's fit just right and feel good even on a long run. A good upgrade in the Ghost series. I like the cushioning without extra weight.

From the moment I got them in the mail yesterday, I knew the Ghost 13s were going to be special and I wasn't at all disappointed. It is the first pair of running shoes I ever had where I broke them in doing a non-stop 10 mile run on the first go around. That's how comfortable these kicks are. I had a pair of Ghost 12s for a few months and I have to say, the 13s are indeed better in terms of cushion, support, and a smoother transitioning with each stride. It's almost like they're already broken in when you run in them. The toe box is also roomier which is what I desperately need for the bunion on one of my feet. And lastly, they're lighter and breath better than the Ghost 12s, especially in the summer heat. For now, these are the best road running shoes I've had in a very long time. Only time will tell if it's even possible for you to improve on these shoes when and if you turn out the Ghost 14s. The bar is now set pretty high. :) Elijah H.

Absolutely love the new Ghost 13. Very snug at first but with time, they acquire that perfect fit. Would love more color choices.

Brooks does not make a women's shoe that is wide enough for my foot. I used to be able to wear a men's 2E in Ghosts, but the last few versions of Ghost have been too narrow.

It's a good shoe, just not for me. Im currently about 45 miles in about 8 days. It's not that responsive, which can be good for some. It's good for walking and standing, and the sometime jog but not for a long run 5+mi. The foam at the tounge is Different from the other shoe, so it could be a manufactured problem.

Bought these Ghost 13s a few weeks ago to replace my Ghost 11s. They are high quality shoes, but something is off with the fit now. Felt good when I bought, but after a couple weeks (after putting them through the paces) they rub the tops of my toes. Ghost 11 fit PERFECTLY and lasted about 1.5 years. Going to have to return these :/

Not a huge fan to be honest. Loved the 12 as my first pair of brooks and was excited to order the 13s but sadly disappointed, really wanted to love them. Not offering the same support the 12s did feel like they're poorly made.

Was gifted a pair so I guess I complain too much but the first pair rubbed the back of my heel absolutely raw after the first 5 mile run. I thought the problem might've been the size of the shoe so I exchanged them for a half size down. (A+ customer service by the way) Even with the smaller and better fitting size, the backs of my heels had red rubbed blisters. It's a shame I wanted to like them but I've never had this problem before

As soon as I put these shoes on my feet I knew instantly they were what I needed. I work in an office and my feet hurt every day and I buy expensive shoes for comfort. I can wear these shoes all day walking, hiking, and whatever else and my feet don't hurt. I wish I could wear them to work. I also live in Texas and the heat is a problem. These shoes allow me to go all day without my feet sweating out.
I'd also recommend:
No other Brands - Brooks is the only shoe I'll wear.

I feel less pain when on I run. As a toe runner, I often get shin pain and foot pain near the top of the foot. This shoe has dramatically dropped that and I am running longer and faster. Oftentimes, I am just thinking about whatever is on my mind. No longer am I thinking about the pain.

I waited for the 13 to come out hoping there would be an all blue version like there is black. Any chance that happens? I know the Levitate 3 LE had a version but that show didn't fit me well. I bought the black and blue version. Love my Ghost 12's and 13's but hate white on running shoes. Picky I know...but I have 5 pair...I want an all blue to finish off the collection.
