I have been using Brooks shoes since 2011-12 when I purchased my first pair of Cascadias (trail running). Since then, even if I have tried different models and its yearly updates (Ghost and Glycerin), I have been always highly satisfied with 3 basic aspects (fit, durability, stability) which I believe have not been been fully achieved by this specific model. With my Ghost 13 I have encountered the following problems; - Medium width (1D) fits excessively loose around the metatarsals. To resolve this I am forced to accessibly tighten the laces which is not a good feeling experiencing some pain at insteps. - Cushioning seems not as generous and durable as previous models. In fact I am experiencing some short of numbness in my feet after running 60-70 minutes. - Heel is topped with a rigid strip that gets deformed or wrinkled every time I wear the shoes which never happened before. This caused deep blisters during the first runs. After a while I included on my routine to carefully smooth that part before starting my run but still the risk of hurting my heels is there. The overall experience is still positive since I have done good long runs with these pair of shoes but I never expected facing the mentioned problems with the new versions which are typically improving the pervious ones but without implementing drastic changes in the fitting or compromising the cushioning.

I've been buying Ghosts for years because they fit my foot perfectly. Never had any problems with them. I've had my Ghost 13s for about 2.5 months now. I only use them for my 3 mile daily walks, and there is already a hole in the collar where my achilles touches. Also, the tread is already worn flat in the middle of the forefoot. I only have about 200-250 miles on them, I'd estimate. I wonder if they've changed the materials they use. I'll probably keep buying Ghosts, but I wonder if the quality is starting to decline. My old Ghost 12s are still in good condition, other than the tread being worn down.

Been wearing Ghosts for several years now. The 13 aren't nearly what the 11 or 12s were. Shoe feels smaller with terrible rubbing (blister causing) on the back the ankles / Achilles. Have been required to wear higher rise socks to mitigate. I noticed this whole area of the shoe is completely different than previous versions. Trying the 14s, with hopes they are better. From the images it doesn't appear so. If I have any doubt they will be going back.

please bring back the 12s! have been wearing ghosts for work in hospital and on runs. the 13s are meh.

Noticeably lower quality than prior versions. Achilles tendon cushion crunched down almost immediately in one shoe. Overlap of the upper with the tongue is minimal to almost non-existent. Cushioning foam of the sole is collapsing more quickly than prior editions.

Preferred the Ghost12. This shoe is narrower. The cushioning is not as great as the 12s.

This is my third pair of Ghosts. Unfortunately the fit is not exactly like the Ghost 11 nor Ghost 12. Slightly smaller, so not as comfortable. The materials also seem to be a bit cheaper. Why change a good thing?

Love the shoe, I buy multiple pairs of each generation. However I have wide feet and as such, have an extremely limited color selection. Expand the number of colors available in wide and you get a 5 star review. Keep it limited to grey, blue, black, and white and I?ll keep limiting my rating. Wide feet are attached to people who like all the colors too!

This white pair seemed a little thicker in material than the grey one I bought sometime ago.

Ghosts are my go to shoe, but Brooks is inconsistent in the width of each version. Some years the D width is fine and other years I have to move up to a 2E width, which changes the feel and ?flop? of the shoe. Ghost 13 ran very narrow. Hoping the Ghost 14 goes back to a wider fit.

Shoe feels good on the foot but the red/black coloring on the sides looks much cheaper in person compared to the pictures online. Looks like they are going to peel off over time.
