I'll start this review by noting that I received a pair of Revel 4 in exchange for my honest review & feedback. This is my fourth pair of Brooks and my second pair from the Revel line as I also own a pair of Revel 3. The look and profile is similar to the Revel 3's, but with a few upgrades namely, the "4.0" and "Revel" tag on the heel of the shoe and a reconfigured tread pattern on the sole. The fit, as with all the Brooks that I own, is true to size and though I've only had them for roughly a week, they appear to be well-made. I initially gave the Revel line a try because I wanted a lighter shoe for my runs. The Revel hit the mark, providing a really nice balance between weight and cushion. The Revel 4 continues that theme they are lightweight, with good cushioning which I note mostly in the heel and mid-foot. I still occasionally work another shoe into my rotation, but my Revel days are favorites as I feel connected to the road when I'm running with these shoes.

This is a nice shoe. I will need to order a more excellent arch support shoe. This shoe is good for walking and training. For jogging, this shoe is not good for me. My feet do not hurt after training. I am still pleased and like the shoe. Will look for another Brooks shoe will more arch support for jogging.

Several complaints: 1. The shoestrings are too cheap and thin. 2. The inside heels lack sturdy construction and wear through easily. 3. The outer sole is starting to delaminate.

I got the revel 3 then the revel 4, the revel 3 were good. They got really good cushion and were very lightweight, I already retired my revel 3. The revel 4 are good but I liked the revel 3 better, I feel the revel 4 need more cushion.

It's a good shoe, but not as comfortable as my previous pair of Brooks.

Brooks are always a good shoe for me. The deal on these were great. Slightly narrower in the toe box as my other brooks but very good still.

My feet are on the border of D and EE width. Many shoes the D width works. These are more on the narrow side.

I absolutely love these shoes! I had a pair of the Revel 3 and they were great, bought the Revel 4 and even better! They feel like I'm walking on clouds. The design looks appealing to wear as well, unlike New Balance or your typical store bought running shoe. I actually wear these for work and they keep my feet nice and cozy. The only thing I'm not a fan of on this version of the shoe are the laces. They're the thing flat ones that feel like they could snap any moment while tying your shoe. I cans witch that out, but overall great product!

400 mile honest review. TL;DR I recommend these shoes for people who don't run more than 40 miles a week and/or run more than a half marathon at a time. Also, buy 1/2 size up, but that is my recommendation for all shoes. I bought these shoes because I had never had brooks before. I prefer responsive sole shoes so I went with these and they felt really good. I put these 400 miles in, in about 3 months. Put them through plenty of runs that these shoes were not meant for. 20 mile runs to be more specific. Im "pretty tough" and they performed fine so I was ok afterwards, but I highly do not recommend running that far in these shoes. I will never buy the Revel 4s or any future Revels again, but they are by no means bad, uncomfortable, or not worth it. I haven't tried any of them, I recommend shelling out the extra money for the next higher quality "energize/springy" soled shoes.

pros: comfortable; light-weight; springy; minimalist (if that's your thing) cons: a little stiff; not a lot of cushion if you are a stomper

Apparently Brook has change their engineering somewhat as this style show feels about a half size smaller and narrower that the previous versions. Otherwise the styling is good .

I'm used to Ghost or Adrenaline so Revel is a bit different feel for me. Not as supportive but still comfortable.

Nearly 50 miles logged over the last couple of weeks. The Revel 4 shoes have a nice old school feel, not like other more cushioned running shoes. Feels very efficient to run in, the midsole drop seems lower than 8mm so I had to adapt my running style. A good addition to my rotation for a normal daily run.

Best that Brooks has out right now. Since good sneakers are so scarce I ordered two sets. Switched out the laces on one pair because they were just too cheap looking for me. Conformed to my flat feet fairly well. Female that ordered male shoes so they bulged this time on my big toe side, but it is a small issue to bare. Overall would recommend these.

These are on a different last than the earlier Revel shoes but appear to be the same in terms of fit and comfort. They are lighter than the previous model and seem to have a little less support.
