Great coat for Chicago winters size is true and lighter

I wanted a coat that could keep me warm from the cold, wet, windy winter storms of Oregon. This coat more than meets my needs. It's very stylish and the many pockets are great. It does fit a bit tight in the arm pits and around my tummy area. That being said, because it looks great and is super warm I would by it again.

This jacket is true to size, description and function! Great over all coat and warm enough for the cooler temps- plus winter blocking.

This coat really blew me away.. it's perfect in every single way. I literally feel like I'm walking around wearing a hug! It's warm, it will cover you completely or is adjustable for some breathing room. This is not an everyday coat, more for the days that's it's 30 degrees and lower. Too heavy for normal days but it's exactly what I needed/wanted.

This coat is stylish, professional, warm, and functional. My only complaint is that hair and fibers stick to it a lot. Other than that, it's perfect and I'm pretty picky so that says something. Size: I'm 5'7" and 148 lbs and it fits perfectly. Can wear sweaters under it but not too roomy.

Amazing! I'm cold more often than not, so I needed a coat/jacket that would be comfortable, stylish, and truly keep me warm; and I hit the jackpot. I like the length (almost to my knees) and the way that the back is slightly longer than the front is an added touch. I'm 5'2" and I ordered a small which fits perfectly. The belt, which is only on the back of the coat is adjustable if needed. The many pockets are useful for gloves, hats, keys, a phone.. you name it. I've worn it several times and I'm happy with my purchase. The biggest test will be during the Christmas holiday as I'll spend lots of time outside, doing some touristy things, but I'm confident that I'll be warm and toasty. You did it again Columbia!

I bought this for my wife. She is very satisfied with the quality of the item. It has some very good stitching.

Moving to Wisconsin for winter this coat is going to keep me toasty warm & it's so cute!!

This is probably my favorite coat I've ever purchased. It is incredibly warm without being too bulky. It really keeps the heat in. The length is perfect, hitting me (5' 5") mid-thigh. It also has a two-way zipper, so when you sit down you have the option of unzipping from the bottom. This is a nice feature that gives you more freedom of movement.

First long down coat to me. It is very cold this week in NYC. The coat can keep me very warm during walking on the freezing street. Prefect for winter.

I do recommend this jacket! Bought it for a ski trip and worked great for me!

This is a lovely, warm jacket. I've had it for about a week so far and it is very warm and comfortable. It has been very cold lately where I live in Massachusetts but this coat has kept me nice and toasty! I am 5'3" and 120 lbs and I wear a size xs.

I've been wearing this coat for about 2 weeks now & so far it's great. Very warm & comfortable, def love all pockets & the fact that the belt can be tighten in the back to give more of a shape to your body. I'm 5'3 & 110 so I ordered an Xsmall and it fits great with room for sweaters. Only downside it tends to attract some lint. But I Would def recommend.

This jacket will get the cold weather test in the near future. So far, I love the fit, styling, weight, and comfort. The details and workmanship are top notch.

I'm 5'5 and 135 pounds and a size small was the perfect fit. It's a heavy jacket but not to bulky. Very pleased with this purchase.

I got this coat for a trip to the east coast. I tested it in 30-19 degrees F weather with wind and slight snow and it stood the test! I stayed warm and dry! The hand warmer pockets are essential for long length parkas like this. The larger pockets are also good for holding cellphones and other small items. The bungee cord at the bottom and hood is nice too. Columbia runs a little large compared to north face and Patagonia (I wear a size medium in those brands) but this is a true medium. I am 5'3 140lbs and it left room for layering. It's a little long since I'm on the petite side but it's not too much. I also got the blue which is a nice change from black. This is not the lightest coat weight wise but this is a heavy duty and durable parka.

Super warm winter coat. Recommended to those who live below zero.

I actually saw someone wearing this coat in a coffee shop and thought it was great. I caught a glimpse of the arm when they left and immediately tried googling what it said until I found the jacket and ordered it. I could not be happier! It fits perfect, it looks great. I've worn it in 11 degree weather and been comfortable, I've worn it in snow and rain and it seems to be water resistant too which is great!

Bought this coat because of the length and added warmth. I already have a shorter omnithermal from Columbia but I wanted something longer for those really cold winter days. Minnesota winter + this coat = happy face. I wear this coat on those extra chilly/windy days. It keeps me toasty and warm. I especially love the pockets, cute design, high neck zipped, and wrist cuffs. You won't find quality and comfort like this anywhere. I now own a fall jacket, a winter jacket, and a Minnesota winter jacket all from Columbia and my next coat will be from Columbia too. I'm 5'9" and 130lb and the small fit perfect.

Sadly, I did end up returning this jacket. It was really well made and I'm guessing it would be super warm. I decided, however, that for my climate zone, I wouldn't have the need for a jacket quite that warm. And it did overwhelm my 5'3" frame a bit! I love Columbia products and will be ordering a different style. The return process was very easy and affordable.

This jacket is soo warm and super stylish. Wore it at night for an outside gathering since it's been super cold and windy lately and I didn't feel cold AT ALL! The days of feeling cold late at night or early mornings in winter are over. Everywhere I wear it i get a lot of compliments. Super happy with my purchase (:

This jacket is a great jacket to fight the cold winter air. I bought it hoping to keep me warm in Michigan and it has successfully done its job so far! One of the warmest jackets I have ever owned. I love how it's not super bulky and that the hood is actually functional. I feel that hoods are typically over sized and cover my eyes making them useless but this hood is my favorite part of the jacket.
