Loved the boot. However it runs super small. Had to return unfortunately.

This is the second pair I've owned. Great for winter Yellowstone expeditions - hiking and snowshoeing in weather down to -20, but comfortable in weather up to freezing. Excellent tread.

Shoes are VERY VERY COMFORTABLE - had to return as they run a little small/snug. Could not replace as they did not have the size we would need.

Haven't really worn them, but they seem to be well made.

The boot does exceptional well in the cold elements. Great for walking and other like use. Not suited when driving and or getting in and out of vehicles frequently. Boot is too wide when driving vehicles.

When ever we have a blizzard in the north east; they're my go to.

These are my around-the-house winter boots. Not rigid enough for aggressive hiking but perfect for shoveling snow, sledding, trail walking. Comfy, but slightly narrower than my previous iteration of these (these replaced a 10-year old TNF boot). No pull tab on heel, so that's a tiny letdown. Easy on/off and quick to tie. Good value for price (bought during end-of-season sale)

Good for inclement weather conditions

Love these for winter horseback riding and winter hiking. Warm with good grip. Could have more of a heel like older Chilkats and more foot cushion

I owned a boot prior and thought these were them. They aren't. Hard to tell on the site what is same and what is not the same. More photos of inside looking in and top of boot would have helped.

Warm and good for snow. Top hook for laces is a pain in the butt. Hard to get laces in when lacing up the boot.

My last pair of North Face boots finally wore out after 10 years of service! I've worn these boots to work everyday shoveling snow with dry feet. I did buy a size bigger than I usually wear and they fit a bit better.

Warm, durable and stylish

I've been needing a pair of winter boots for a long time and I've shopped many brands now when it come to the north face I've only every purchased jackets or coats and have always been impressed with quality of their garments. So why not try the shoes/boots. They arrived and out of the box the fit is good the insulation really cushions they feel as they're of great quality as I would expect looking forward to many years in these boots

I bought them for work this winter they're comfortable the only thing is after I wear them for a full day the inside get damp so I bought a boot dryer, I love these boots though I would recommend them to anyone working in cold weather

I wore my boots today for work and they where comfortable right out of the box. My feet where warm with only one pair of socks on out in 25 degree weather.

I use these boots for long hours in the snow, using my snowblower at work .

Only 4 stars because I have not worn them in the Chicago snow or extreme cold yet due to there not being any, but if these Chilkat IIIs are anything like my 2 pairs of Snowsqualls I have owned for 45 years then they will be great for anything winter throws at me and you and will be just as durable. They should be great for shoveling, casual wear, winter/snow sports, great traction, etc. These Chilkats are very comfortable. The inside hugs my feet like pillows and feels oh so warm. They look cool and are lightweight. Niiice!
