I'm 5'11 260lbs and this has the perfect cushioning to absorb the force of hitting the pavement. Makes jogging a whole lot easier on my legs.

These shoes are great for eating up miles, so I can save my endorphin speeds for faster days. They are kinda firm and feel faster than some other shoes, therefore on longer runs I sometimes prefer something softer/bouncier like the freedom3. They are like a fast, comfy, daily run shoe that I've really really enjoyed, especially for the price!

Great looking shoe and very comfortable. I wanted it as a trainer for the PRO, but it wasn't suitable for me, so I returned the item and now use the Speed as my trainer and the PRO for racing.

This shoe is a great addition to a training rotation.
I've run almost exclusively in ISO's, and this was an easy transition. The additional weight was an issue at first but I got used to it after the 3rd or 4th run.

If you're looking for a long run trainer that is cushioned but not plush/mushy, this is it. It is a big shoe w high stack but the low 4mm drop is big win for me. I've done long hot summer runs and legs felt fresh after 16+ mi with these on. And durable- these days when shoes seems to wear down the soles by 75 mi, these things will take much more. They could lose a little weight-- thinking that the rigid outer heel cup could go and I wouldn't shed tears. I use runner-style lacing and the shoe felt just right for locking me in.

I've rotated through dozens of Guides and Hurricanes with success. But always wanted for a bit more "bounce" on long and easy runs. The Endorphin Shift runs like a true maximulist shoe but with a much better fit than many others. And I love the rocker feel underneath. Definitely not a speed shoe, but great for the long miles when I just want to zone out. So far the oniy negative is that they tend to hold a lot of moisture and sweat.

I do have all 3 of the new Endorphin shoes, the Shift, Speed, and the Pro. As soon as I put the Shift on, it was the most comfortable out of the 3, I never wanted to take it off. I will admit out of the box I was a bit hesitant when I took the Shift's for their first run. The midsole was a bit stiffer than what I was expecting with the stack height of the shoe. It took about 10 miles for the midsole to loosen up a bit to where I started feeling the softness. Still not as soft with the responsiveness as the Speed & Pro, but not bad for a shoe to soak up miles with. If I had one ask, it would be for the Shift to shed a tad of weight as it is a bit heavy on foot, but for what it is meant for, it does fit the bill nicely. Oh, and I love the colorways of the whole Endorphin line!!!

Great shoes. But I felt some stability which I don't really like.

Upper is comfortable and breathable.
Midsole foam is both cushioned and responsive. Laces are flat, and do not come undone.
The extended heel counter on the medial side with some firmer rubber to add some stability.
However, I tend to suppinate and this medial support (posting) and stiff, plastic heel counter make my suppination worse and now causing lateral forefoot pain.
With this much stack height (and a more durable foam), I don't think that medial support is needed. The shoe is already inherently stable without it.
This shoe should be classified as a stablility shoe not a neutral shoes.
I cannot get the shoe to turnover wuic because of the weight and stack height.
If you are looking for a max cushion, easy day, mild stability shoe-then this is the shoe for you.

These sneakers were quite stiff, even after a few tries. There is adequate cushion, but I also need some responsiveness. Going to return for a different style.

Was looking for something super cushy to help with some bruising I was experiencing on the balls of my feet, and these have been perfect in that regard. I love the way they look, but I could see them being not for everyone. But for the price, they're exactly what I was looking for.
BUT…on day 7, I was pulling them on and the heel loop popped like it was made of tissue paper. Unless you are of the opinion that heel loops are strictly ornamental, this seems ridiculous and unacceptable from a quality standpoint. I'm gonna keep them because i like them otherwise and the hassle of sending them back and finding something else isn't palatable, but I doubt I'll be buying another pair of Sauconys based on this. It's unfortunate, cause I like them otherwise. Maybe I just got a lemon.

My first pair of saucony running shoes. They fit a bit loose on my foot compared to my usual size. The toe box is wide for a medium shoe. If you have fat feet these would be great otherwise I feel like my foot has too much room in the toe box. In terms of the mid-sole, I felt they are very responsive and supportive. Good transitions. My arch feels good in them as well.

This is a more difficult review to write, because I had terrific luck with the first pair (White / Mutant) which for a Neutral shoe, actually had great stability and stayed solid for over 450 miles. I would give the (White / Mutant - 5 stars). The shoe was excellent and versatile enough for a daily trainer, tempo days and workouts. I praised the shoe and suggested the brand and model to everyone I ran with this year.
However, I bought a second pair (Black / White) which appears to be a second generation style and quite possibly could be the root cause for the issues Ive had with this second rendition. Unfortunately, my impression is that this model is not consistent with the first set of color ways / models.
On overall appearance the shoe seems very similar, with the exception of a more knit/ mesh upper with additional design.
The mid sole seems much softer than the original model, which has led to warping of the shoe after only 50-60 miles - which seems to be shaping in the direction of over-pronation. I understand that this is a neutral shoe, however the original models held up like a stability shoe and was really an awesome experience.
Im in a difficult position now, in deciding whether to buy another pair from the original model options or retire my love for the Endorphin shift all together.

I was looking for a new easy day shoe that I could use for more uptempo efforts, and thought the Endorphin Shift might fit the bill. I was hoping for something like the Ride ISO 2s, but with a lower drop. After taking them out for a few runs, they're very different than I was expecting. The midsole almost feels like balsa wood. Much firmer than expected, but it also has a noticeable shock dampening effect. Turnover feels decent, but they're not the lightest daily trainers either. They protect the feet well without feeling clunky, and they can be used for everything from easy to moderate speeds. But they're not my favorite shoes, and I'm not sure I'll reach for them all that often.

I love the Pro and Speed in the Endorphin series. They are both amazing shoes. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the Shift. Although my legs and feet do feel fine after running (no pain, or injuries - nor much soreness), they feel very heavy and make my feet hot. I bought them hoping they'll become my main "easy day" shoe - but it don't work out.

I am a Saucony loyalist and have run in every iteration of the Kinvara over thousands of miles and hundreds of races. I confess that I went to the dark side when the other maker came out with their % and was eagerly awaiting Saucony's response so that I could get back with my old favorite. When they became available, I jumped. I eagerly bought both the Endorphin Shifts and the Endorphin Pros. The Shifts have turned out to be too heavy for me, now that I'm used to nimble energy returning trainers and I've found that I would rather wear them to work when I'm on my feet all day than train in them. The Pros, however, are every bit a match to the Evil Empire offerings and give such a noticeable spring to my stride that I look forward to running in them. It's clear that the Pros are stripped down to save weight and with all of that visible foam on the underside and a mere bikini of tread around the outside edge, they were not built to last. I will enjoy them sparingly. I would like to find the sweet spot in the middle between nimble and durable, so maybe there's a pair of the Endorphin Speeds in my future? Great job Saucony, with the new line.

The worst fitting Saucony shoe I have worn. Strangely narrow on the mid-forefoot, giving an uncomfortable feel on the forefoot sole. Have run 450km+ in them hoping for the fit to get better but it didn't.

I was fairly happy with these shoes while wearing them this summer. They are a little heavy, but the cushion helps for long runs. Unfortunately the side busted out of them today. I would say I've averaged 20-30 miles a week with them, but still, I feel like they should last longer at this price point.

More stability than you'd think. Lots of stability, not as soft as one would think. Would say it's fine, but wouldn't buy again.
