This is the first pair of Kayanos I have purchased, I buy Gel Nimbus or Gel Cumulus. The Kayanos seemed to be a bit shorter than previous ASICS I have purchased. Also, as other reviewers have noted, the material at the top of the toe box tends to crease and intrude into the toe box which then pinches and rubs your toes. Not comfortable - returned.

I love the Kayano 27. My first two pairs were great. But the right shoe with this new pair does not fit correctly. It feels like it is raised on the out side of the right foot and is not comfortable. I'm assuming there was a manufacturing flaw so I will return this pair and order another pair.

I've had 20 of this exact same shoe but this one has a different fit for some reason. The footbed feels the same but the toe bed material creases and is uncomfortable. Almost like it's a little smaller than other models.
I ran in them right out of the box like I always do so I unfortunately had to keep them.

Been using Asics for running for 10 years and these shoes are very uncomfortable. Aesthetically pleasing, but uncomfortable for running.

My podiatrist recommended these for my over pronation, but my ankles hurt when I walk or run in them any longer than a few minutes. They're also not as wide as expected and hurt the sides of my feet after a while.

I wanted to love these shoes and wore them for 2 months but they just don't work for my feet because:
1. I have a wide toe box and these shoes are not wide enough up front.
2. The shoes don't solve at all for my over-pronation and they feel unstable.
I'd also recommend:

Front top material bunches up after getting wet and rubs your big toe raw. Can no longer wear them.

The fabric around the front edge of the toes is a bit stiffer than the fabric over the top. On the Kayano 26 this is done well and retains its shape, but on the 27, it creases and creates a simple that presses in against the top of the toes. This is not painful but it is very annoying. It's a serious design flaw and the first time I have been less than fully satisfied with the Gel Kayano after owning every model in succession since the 12.

Disappointed, the gel-kayano 27 looks more like the "GT" shoe. The material at the big toe points out at right of the toe. ASICS needs to revert back to the style of the Kayano 19 as it was more appealing. The 27 seems to be lacking in design.

The bottom sole wears out too fast. I remember a sales rep told me the Kayano 26 was much harder than the 27. I purchased the 26 and ran 400 miles and just purchased the 27. I've only ran 100 miles hand it's almost time to replace the 27. Feels like I just burned my cash.

Quality is not the same as previous generations. Not a sturdy and the sole seems thinner and not as supportive

Not for people with wide, fat feet. I ordered a men's size as a 4e and they're still very snug. They don't have narrow toe space. I honestly ended up compressing a nerve and my second toe has stayed numb. I really upset that I tried to switch from New Balance but sadly shoe manufacturers seem to keep changing the materials they use for cheaper, and cheaper so the shoes aren't the same anymore.

Bought a pair a few months ago and loved them. Bought these and they’re the exact same size but are huge. Felt like two sizes too big. Maybe they sent men’s, I have no idea as the box wasn’t labeled. Returned them.

I received this shoe as a warranty replacement because my gel-nimbus had a problem with the left shoe. After two weeks with these new shoes, the inner portion of the right shoe is digging into my foot. I've been a life long ASICS buyer since high school but I may have to switch after these two latest pairs. I don't even use the new pair I was sent any more because they are so uncomfortable. I wish I would have just reordered my gel-nimbus. I'll now on the search for a new everyday trainer.

Had these a couple months now. As the shoe broke in, the toe box got to be excessively big, to a point where it was no longer comfortable to run in. They have since been relegated to everyday shoes. Went to the GT 2000 9 and love it immensely.

I have an issue with the front of the shoe. The inside has a plastic material that is about .5" high inside that wraps all the way around your foot. Seems to be there to keep the material from falling down is all i can think. This piece is now bending at the bend point into my big toe on both feet, and I can only assume will get worse or finally crack. I wore them 2x to the gym and after both toes are tender. Seems like a bad design.

I’m bummed. I always wear ASICS and love them. These are an exception. Why?
1. They seemed to actually stretch out.
2. Toe box style crimps and creases.
3. I’ve put my usual miles on them and they look terrible, actually broken down.
4. Not as comfortable as expected
Sending back because I’m so disappointed.

After 20+ years of wearing Kayanos, I wish I could like the 27s but unfortunately I had to return them, Great ride and support, but the toebox is surrounded by a plastic mold that bends in a weird way, and once it collapses stays bent, pinching into your toe. It was painful. Other than that great runner.

These were my third or fourth pair of Asics. I used them for a week and noticed the lacing loop had come loose. The stitching failed. I have never seen this in any shoe. They are on their way back for credit. ASICS may not be what they once were.

I started wearing these just for longer urban walks/hikes. It somehow pinches a nerve somehow on my left toe as it tingles every time my foot contacts the ground. This doesn't happen with my toe in other shoes. It also has minimal overall support.
