Love all the past generations of this shoe especially the 6. I don't know what they did with this shoe, but in my opinion they went backwards. The fit is much tighter and the sole seems to be harder. They really had a great shoe in the Clifton 6 by far the best one yet, why do they feel the need to change the shoe every year! Sometimes its best to leave good enough alone. I will give them credit for the fact they came out with some better color schemes though. I hope the eights will be more like the six's or I'll go back to the New Balance 1080's By the way I not trying to knock Hoka her, I've been wearing them for the past 4 yrs, this one just did not work for me.

Your shoes about 5 years ago where the best out on the market. Now there still good but only last about 6 months. Go back to the old design. I bought this pair about 3 months ago that there already wore out. Guess it's time to start looking for a different brand

I liked how quick the product came. The only issue they feel different front the last pair I bought: It might be a different pair I bought. Overall I don't like them for running

This is my 4th pair of Hoka One One and unfortunately I saw no difference with the past. All the pairs I bought broke on a side (the fabric) after as little as 500km (300 miles). I use them to run only and I always go on paved roads. The life expectancy seems to be very short when compared to other running shoes I tried.

Firstly let me say I have owned every version of the Clifton. Satisfied with all but the 4's which ripped. But this Clifton 7 is something else. I used it for a half marathon in January after only a few previous runs and it crippled my right foot. I got bursitis on my right heel which took an absolute age to heal. I was not able to run in any shoe for nearly 2 months. But finally I got back on the road with some Bondi 6's and they are OK. However, even though my foot is healed, if I put the Cliftons back on I am in immediate pain on my right foot. My only assumption is that the right heel is somehow deformed. I have tried to return them to the shop and to Hoka before but they are past the return date. Therefore I have only one option but to save the laces and dump them. I got them on sale last Black Friday so maybe I got a duff pair. Whatever; I'm off Hoka now. My next pair will be NB Fresh Foam. It's a real shame after using Cliftons for 6 years. My only advice to Hoka is...STOP messing around with the design of a good shoe. There's no need to keep tweaking the design from year to year. You've wasted my time and money and laid me up for 2 months. Cliftons = never again

DISAPPOINTINGLY SMALL! I don’t know why they keep messing with a good thing, but you would think a big shoe, in a “wide” size, would make sense to keep wide. It’s not EE, if anything it’s probably M. They drastically reduced the size from the 6 to the 7...WHY? I’ve used Hokas for years, but now I can’t because they don’t fit anymore. I’ll need to struggle to find another brand, while training for a race, since these shoes are ridiculous and do not fit.

I found an add for a steep discount and bought the shoe, received confirmation and then an email later, telling me that the purchase could not be honored. Tried to go online at your website to find out the reason, but could not weave through it all. I like your shoes, went out and bought a pair, but not a happy camper over this event.

I wanted to like this as an easy day/slower base mileage shoe. There is still a lot of hype around this shoe and I am not sure why. The full compression EVA just does not work. From a shock absorption standpoint, it is too soft and unsupportive. For me it actually worsened knee and back pain rather than protecting against it. Additionally there is an insane amount of energy loss. Obviously this isn't a fast day shoe, but these feel like running in sand. Very inefficient for heart rate. Aside from the midsole, the overall shape of the last felt off. More narrow in the shoes throat with excess volume in the toe box. I will say as a positive, that the mesh upper is very nice and breathable and I appreciate the leightweightedness of the shoe, however there are just so many other better options out for easy/recovery day/base mile trainers that these are a hard miss.

I have had several pairs of the Clifton but with the new footbed in the Clifton 7, I can no longer wear the shoe. It is now too tight on my heel. I would love to see you return to the footbed of the Clifton 6 or offer another version of the Clifton that is more like the Clifton 6 footbed.

Shoe is comfortable, but gave me blisters and hot spots. Returned them a day later and still have not received my refund. It's been 10 business days since they've received my return. If I knew this is how they ran their return policy, I wouldn't have bought the shoe.

I hate these. The last pair of Hoka I bought was the Bondi 7 and they were so much more comfortable and supportive. I don't feel like I even got the same brand of shoes with this purchase. There is little support in comparison and my feet have never been more sore than switching to these. I regret this purchase and will never buy them again.

I have been buying Hoka Cliftons for years. I truly loved the Clifton 6 and hoped the 7 would be just as good, IT IS NOT! Not even close. Its fit is poor. The heel no longer has the pull; instead, it has an extended back. This requires one to put their hand on the sole to secure the shoe. I looked at many sites for a Clifton 6 in my size. I could not find one! I sure hope the company will bring back the Clifton 6.

This is the third pair of Hoka's I have purchased. The first two were women's size 8 wide. One pair was given to a friend the second donated to a local thrift shop. After 2 months of trying to wear them I just gave up. This time I ordered men's size 7 wide in hopes that it would be wider. Not so! I will be returning this pair.

I have had 2 pair of Hoka previously and they were GREAT! i ordered the same size and was excited to get them, but they were too small and I returned them. I would like to order another pair but don't know what size to order. Was it a fluke?

I have been running in the Clifton for the last few years, and I had loved them. I wore a 10W and they would fit perfect. I just ordered the 7, and it was made narrower to where I can no longer run in them.

Not sure if I have fat feet (never needed Wide before) but these shoes killed my arches. My inner arch was sitting right on the top/side of the sole. Hard to explain, but yeah. Returned them. Got Wide. Those didn't work either. Was really hoping to like these shoes because lots of runners rave about them. Very disappointed.

Love the look of the shoe. However this shoe is for narrow feet. Uncomfortable and not as cushy. Hurt my feet immediately. I don't usually purchase wide shoes because my feet aren't that wide. But this shoe is for very narrow feet.
