I have bought 4 pairs of Bondi 7's in recent weeks and returned 3 of them. They seem to bear no resemblance to the cushioning and comfort to the 10-12 pairs of 7's I've purchased over the past three years. They feel more like trail shoes than running shoes. My older, well worn shoes provide more comfort. The pair I kept were barely passable, but I needed at least one pair of new shoes.

In my opinion this shoe has too much cushion and is not reactive enough. I have enjoyed the Mach 4 and the Clifton 7.

Tried the Bondi. Didn't like the feel. Too much roll and the dropout on the back was annoying.

I purchased these to replace a pair of Bondi 7s that I wore for three months. I averaged 6-8 miles per day walking, I got all of the good I could from them. These are very comfortable shoes that my orthopedic surgeon suggested I wear. I wore the new Bondi 7s for 7days x 6-8 miles per day on my walks. Out of curiosity I flipped them over to look at the soles and was very disappointed on how bad they were wearing. They looked very close to the pair they replaced that were so worn I threw them away because they were shot. I sent them back and bought the Bondi X. Hopefully they have better durability.

The Bondi is wonderfully cushioned and I really wanted to love it. However, like a few other reviewers, I found that the shoe is so cushioned and, therefore, tall, it feels unstable. I think that I could easily lose my balance on any sort of uneven surface.

I have worn Hoka Bondi 6's for the past 1 1/2 years. The 6's were great and lasted a long time for me. I only wear them for everyday use and some walking. The cushion was great (I need cushion for foot issues). The Bondi 7 has been changed for the worse. They are narrower in the midfoot which causes pain and makes them unwearable. The cushion is almost nonexistent. The mesh is thicker and firmer (not a good thing). The soles are not nearly as soft as the previous version. I supinate and these shoes make my feet roll outward even more. If this is how Hoka will continue to make their shoes, I will have to switch back to Brooks. The 6's were great, but I am disappointed in the new version.

9.5 was recommended, full size to large. The sides of the shoe developed splits in the Material. Lasted 5 1/2 months. Comfort level was amazing but I expected longer lasting for the price!

Bought them for running because I have bad knees but they are really heavy and clunky. Also they caused me to have blisters on my arches which I've never experienced with any other shoe.

High end running shoes are definitely different strokes for different folks. I pronate and have high arches, and have been looking for a shoe with more cushioning to alleviate stress on my knees. I'd been coming from running on Asics Nimbus + Kayanos for years. With Asics lines all transitioning, figured now would be a good time to try the hoka one bondi given the positive reputation they have for those who seek similar features in a shoe. The shoes are OK, but a huge disappointment for distance running. I've heard they run narrow, but I have average width feet and mine slide around in the shoe. They also say they run true to size, but in my normal size, they were far too large. For running, it feels like you're running on a pillow, which is great. However, the shoe is so bulky and with the toe/heel drop, makes it impossible to run at my typical pace. If I were older, if I wanted a good walking shoe, or if I needed a shoe to provide comfort because I spent my day on my feet, this would be a very different review. But if you've never run in these before, I strongly advise trying them on in-store locally before spending the $$$ online only to be disappointed.

I am very disappointed in this shoe. Every Hoka I've purchased up to now was EXCELLENT! Not this one. Thick cushion but not very effective. I'll never endorse this particular model. Nevertheless, all other Hokas I purchased, as I mentioned, were superior.

I had purchased the Mach 4 awhile back and loved them. I decided to try out the Bondi 7's because they had a thicker sole and I figured it would cushion my run. First the Bondi 7 ran smaller than the Mach 4's (at least for me) and were a little tight. I ran for a few weeks with the Bondi 7 and decided to send back for a half size larger to see if I liked them with a better fit. I've ran for 1 week in these Bondi's and I have to say I prefer the Mach 4's sooooo much better.

I was a diehard Bondi 6 owner. Probably had five pairs. I don’t know exactly what changed about the Bondi seven, but some thing did in the heel that is a complete misalignment with my foot. I ordered two pairs and I really tried to make one work, but after about two weeks I’m realizing it is not gonna work. I’m returning the other pair and now searching for Bondi six on eBay. Sigh. maybe the shoe will work for others, but if you were looking for the same feel as version six, this is not it.

I tried the Hoka Bondi 7, and after a week I could barely walk. They are super cushiony, but my feet hurt so bad by the end of each day, I was miserable. Ended up returning them. Still looking for the right shoes for comfort.

I was excited to try Hoka shoes for the first time after hearing great things. Sadly, the hype did not live up to the reality. I wore the shoes on three runs. Between miles 3-5 on each run my toes began to ache to the point where I had to stop. There just didn't seem to be much cushion in the toe box. Returned shoes.

Don’t get fooled by the hype. These shoes are not all that. I stooped wearing mine cause it was not comfortable. They are narrow. The whole walking on clouds thing…. I have no ideas where they get that from . Back to saucony it is. Or asics whichever you prefer. Sorry Hoka I tried and paid good money but these shoes are a no no
