Has great cushion. My legs and feet do not feel achy after a 12 hour shift despite all the walking

Perfect shoe for an ultra or later in an ultra when your feet are trashed. As long as the terrain is not super technical. The stack height and lower lugs don't make for a good rough terrain shoe but on flatter smooth surfaces it's perfect. Plenty of room in the toe box and sweet plushness.

The Stinson ATR shoe was not my first choice. I wanted to buy the Speedgoat 4 Gore-Tex but it was unavailable for months. I could not wait any longer so I chose to go ahead and purchase the Stinson ATR shoe. I have not been disappointed. Overall, it is a very good shoe and it's very comfortable. Very cushiony. I'm still interested in getting the Speedgoat 4 Gore-Tex because I really need a waterproof trail shoe. But, I am glad I bought the Stinson ATR 6.

I bought this shoe for the steep gravelly trails I use out west here. It surely does the job, and does it well. Fits just like my Challlengers, accomodates my carbon fiber inserts. Only tiny negative? I have terrible balance and the deep bouncy sole makes me pay attention a little more. No worries, very happy.

Super PLUSH and VERY comfortable. What more could you want!? Well, since you asked, better durability. I've had a few pairs blow out on the upper (near toe box) waaaay to early for this expensive of a shoe. Hoka has been great, though, to warranty them quick and easy. This is a really fantastic trail runner and I don't turn ankles in these. I bet these would be great on a long thru hike too. 4.5 stars actually. Seasoned ultra runner 60+ miles/week

36-42 miles per week on light to medium trails. Running downhill with these are amazing. I can confidently step practically anywhere and not worry about turning an ankle. Only encountered those issues actually running uphill. You can step on lightly scattered to medium scattered rock without worry. I read somewhere else the Stinson is the trail counterpart to the Bondi. I agree. It almost feels identical with the exception of the lug placement on the Stinsons. Bondi is a road shoe but I used it on trail. The shoe is a tank. If you plan on nimbly hopping over obstacles and stuff I wouldn't recommend because the last feels more like a boot. I fit an arch support dr scholls insole and the shoe took me almost 350 miles before the stabilizing components of the shoe began showing signs of degradation *shooting pain in my Bilateral glutes out of nowhere!* I never run technical trail. Just light to medium equestrian dirt trails. Downhills I am able to let it go like a high school kid trying to make it to the state meet. Uphill is fine. I probably won't buy again because they're pricey.

Love the roomy toe box, and the multi-purpose outsole. I use these for retail sales work (on my feet, all day, on various surfaces), plus casual hiking. Great support with great cushioning... what a concept!

Not only the does the plush cushion absorb all obstacles in my path, the extra wide heels have functionally eliminated all ankle rolling.

Terrific shoe. Seems to be the only one that is actually, physically , WIDE. 3/4 " wider at the ball of my foot than other models of same size which purport to be 'wide'. I use it for trail running and hiking. I can't comment on the sizing - there seems to be no consistancy regarding width and so I buy whatever is wide enough - this one is.

Upgraded my shoes since I've recently started jogging on a park trail and my old shoes weren't cutting it. Bought these based on the reviews and the fact I knew I could return them easily at Zappos. Have only had them a couple of weeks but so far am very pleased. Lots of cushion and support with lots of room in the toe box. My feet are appreciating the upgrade. Would recommend.
