Very light, good support. Best fitted for a wider foot.

These shoes were so lovely to walk on but for my picky feet they didn't work as well as I'd hoped. My feet are extra sensitive and they were just snug enough across the top of my arch area to cause my toes to feel like pins and needles. However, if you're reading this review and don't have this issue with any other shoes, please don't let it stop you from trying these. The wonderful 30 day trial period allowed me to also try the new Bondi 8 wide and they are much better for me! So, I sent these back and got a second pair of the Bondi 8s.

I investigated which running shoes are best for seniors, specifically the amount of padding. These Hokas are well-padded. However, they are a tad narrow as one runs or walks. Also, it's a lot of shoe, certainly not inconspicuous but I'm now past the point of caring what others think of what I'm wearing; I'm focused on comfort, specifically padding, and these shoes provide lots of padding.

I wanted to love these shoes because they are very well-made. I need a lot of cushioning and a wide toebox. But something about the right shoe caused intense pain on the outer edge of my right foot and into my heel. My foot would be painful for hours after taking off the shoes.

I normally wear a nine regular but this shoe in a 9 was too big. I tried 8.5 wide and fit perfectly with room in the toe box. Color is nice as well

This shoe has a lot of cushioning which is good for my plantar fasciitis. It runs a tad big and I was surprised that other reviews didn't mention that. The toe box is wide and super roomy, which isn't the best look. I could have easily sized down half a size which I can never do with any other brand shoe (especially athletic shoes), I normally have to size up.

This model could be really great, considering it's quality & cushion features. But, when I tried it on, there was a distinct "bump" inside the arch area - back of the arch to the front of my heel. Just couldn't wear it. Very disappointing. I have a wide foot only in the toe area, narrow in the middle & heel. Maybe what I felt was built-in arch support, but I can't figure who doesn't notice this. Same happened with the Bondi 8.

My first pair lasted me 6 months. I had been going through a pair of shoes each month because they would break down inside and lose support. This is my second pair. So far we are in the second month. The only reason not a 5star rating is the price. They are very pricey.

I am normally a solid 8, and that is the size I ordered. First time ordering this brand in a tennis shoe. It took several times wearing them to get the shoelace tension correct, otherwise my feet were going numb on a 2-3 mile walk. After the adjustments, they are comfortable and very supportive. My posture feels better, and my lower back and knee does not hurt. I would recommend these shoes. I am not a runner, so can’t comment on that - but walking is great!

I really like this shoe, I would love to give it 5 stars , but there is one issue. I ordered a wide fit but the shoe is snug and this creates the one issue. On the inside of the instep the insert cone up the inside of the shoe, and is not perfectly flush with the material of the upper. The result is the insert rubbing on the inside of the instep of my foot. If I am wearing g compression socks the rubbing is not painful, other than that, it is an irritation. For me, I am wearing these shoes at work and so I am always wearing a compression sock. Therefore I can tolerate the friction and am happy with the purchase.

Bought these for work
I was in a car wreck 2016 due to a road rage hit and run driver
my right foot was broken in many places and has ligament damage, from impact on brake petal
my orthopedic dr recommended these shoes for my injuries, due to the arch support and cushion.
8 wide seemed too big so i ordered 7.5 wide
It fits great, arch suport and cushion is great, but sometimes after being on my feet all day my right foot is swolen so I may go back to the 8 wides next time.

Had to return. All of my other sneakers are a size 8. These were too big. I would have re-ordered in a size or half size down, but there was a weird lump midway between my arch and heal. At first I thought it was misplace arch support, but then realized it was the seam where the rubbery details that crosses over the fabric attached to the shoe. I figured it would be the same on a smaller size anyway. This is a major design flaw for me and my sensitive princess feet. Bummer because I really like everything else about them! Pretty color (blue fog) and very cushy! I'm hoping the Hoka Bondi 8 will be better, as I'm trying them next.

I feel these are a bit different from my other 2 pairs of Hoka Bondi 7's. This pair, although very comfortable, seems to be missing some of the "cloud" comfort feeling my others have, to this day. Overall, still a very comfortable shoe. Wished they put the Mfg. year on the inside of the tag. Would be helpful. Maybe that's why I don't feel like I'm walking on clouds ?
I'd also recommend:

Shoes are a bit big in the heel area; however, they are very comfortable. They have alleviated a great deal of foot pain I have experienced w/other shoes & orthotics. The arthritis in the top (arch area) of my foot makes it difficult to find comfortable shoes.

The wide width is too narrow. I don't know what they are thinking. Why bother making a "narrow" wide width? This seems to be the case with all of the new trendy running brands -- On, Hoka, and Mizuno. Guess I'll stick with the classics, Brooks, Saucony, and New Balance. Oh well.

I bought these shoes to wear while working at my job. I stand on concrete floors 8+ hours a day in a factory. Purchasing these shoes has been a game changer for me. The only thing that I don't like is that the soles are starting to fall apart after only a month. But I will still purchase these again.

The shoe just runs a little large. I ordered a 7 which I use for every other shoe that I have used. They slipped on the back of my heel. I think a 6.5 would have been to small though.

The fit and size are true. I ordered my regular size and the fit is perfect. This is the third pair of Hoka Bondi 7 that I have ordered. My only complaint is that this last pair did not have as cushy foot bed as my first two. I don’t know if they are going with cheaper materials or what. That is the Main reason that I keep getting this brand and model because I’m on my feet for 12 hours at work. I’m keeping these, but if my next pair are not cushy, I might as well buy a cheaper brand.

I bought several pairs and brands of sneakers as I have multiple foot issues to consider when I buy shoes, wide feet, some swelling after being on my feet or sitting too long, mild arthritis in my lower back, and some knee pain. The Hoka’s came highly recommended. The wide was just a bit too wide for my feet, and there was some slippage on my heels. I haven’t totally ruled out Hoka, as they are well made and gave me great support and cushioning, but I may need to try another style or size. This time I ultimately chose the ON Cloud 5 Combo.
