I got these shoes because after having foot surgery my toes and front of my foot hurt to walk. These are the only shoes I could use that allowed me to walk with minimal pain while healing. I'm normally a size 8 wide and that's what I ordered and they fit great. They are very big looking (like moon shoes or clown shoes) so I try to wear long boot cut yoga pants when I wear them to walk or jog. They do take the pressure off the forefoot due to the rocker bottom soles. Although I don't love the look of them, I would recommend for anyone needing a supportive sneaker with a rocker bottom sole.

Great, sturdy, lightweight shoe. I had tried my usual Asics sizing (9.5), but it was too big in this Hoka shoe/ style. The 9 (1/2 size smaller than my usual running shoe) is fitting well. There is minimal arch support built into the shoe, but that's ok because I use my own that I prefer anyway. Zappos was great to work with to find the right fit.

I work on concrete floors in a wood shop much of the day--10-12 hours, mostly standing, with occasional nails and sharp objects on the floor, which often has an uneven surface. There is excellent balance in these. The thick soles help protect me from sharp objects poking through. They're fairly light weight and breathe well. I have high arches and a tendency to twist an ankle. There's plenty of room for inserts if needed. I haven't used them with these shoes but probably should--I still feel quite cushioned. These soles are definitely more firm than other Hoka's. Perhaps they'll last longer? Usually Hoka One One's have bright colors, so when I found these black shoes I bought them! The downside is that the top layer wore out around the creases by my toes within a year, so I bought another pair to look decent at work. I'll still keep the old pair around for dirtier jobs where looks don't matter so much.

The Hoka Bondi 7's fit very well and are extremely comfortable; plus they work great for plantar fasciitis. The only downside is the 'clunkiness' of the shoe. I am not a large person, thus the shoes are quite noticeable while wearing them; however, they are great for walking and long days of shopping. On the upside, I do appear taller than my short 5' stature. I guess it's a happy tradeoff.
