Warm and soft for xc skiing

Great Fit, warm, high quality. I was hesitant buying a medium but the fit is perfect - Fitted, but not too tight. I'm 5-10, 165, 33" waist, 42" chest.

I primarily use this for hunting/ hiking and working outside

I use it skiing. Keeps me super warm and is the perfect base layer.

Base layer. Feels good, good fit, I'll buy again.

I have a Smartwool 250 crew that is at least 10 years old and I love the way it feels. It had a hole in it that I fixed a couple of years ago and it is still going strong, use it every time I do yard work. A year ago a bought a Smartwool 150 crew and a 1/4 zip and while those worked out OK, I don't like them quite that much and I think the difference is that the 150's have 12% nylon in them, they feel different against the skin and while resistant to body odor compared to cotton, they seem to stink up easier than the 250's. Unfortunately it is cumbersome to dig down and figure out which Smartwool item is 100% wool. They should make a filter on the website to allow for filtering for 100% wool to prevent customer disappointment. I feel I can use the 250's for anything: going to work, travel, skiing, hiking, road cycling. They feel better against the skin and regulate temperature better than anything I have ever used. The 250's don't absorb almost any body odor. You have to be careful to not ruin them in the dryer at high heat. Follow instructions: wash warm and tumble dry low! I'm 6 feet tall around 174 lbs and medium fits me well.

I bought this for my husband. He has worn it almost non-stop ever since. It is soft and looks great.

I wear this when it's cold out and I expect to be sweating such as shoveling snow or snowshoeing.

Very Comfortable

Live in NW Wisconsin with cold weather. Merino is everything it's cracked up to be. Keeps moisture away from skin during high activity yet is warm even when cooling off. My synthetic base layers never did well after sweating then cooling down. This does. The zipper is nice for temp control.

Well made and will be great in this cold weather this winter.

Very warm and comfortable as a base layer or stand alone shirt. Well styled and great interesting colors. I'll be buying a few more.

Bought this as a comfortable base layer for skiing, worked perfect. Nice enough to wear really anywhere though. If you don't want it to fit real tight, would recommend going a size up for looser feel. Not the warmest thing in the world, but easy to pair with a light outer layer. Expect lint balls to stick on the outside. All my smartwool apparel seems to be high quality, would buy again.

This shirt is so good that I purchased a second one right after the first one arrived at the house! True comfort and wicks off moisture. Feels like quality! Love the design. Primarily use it for hiking as either a stand-alone shirt or as an under layer. The 1//4 zip allows me to semi control body heat depending on activity. When zipped up, fits nicely around my neck. I also bought a lighter version because I wasn't sure just how heavy and hot this shirt would be on me. Both styles are great! This version is heavy enough to wear alone in 40 degree temps- or perfect under a light puffy jacket as a second layer in colder temperatures. I sweat alot if I don't watch what I am wearing so I was looking for a shirt that helps dissipate heat and sweat. These shirts are perfect for that. Worth every penny!

I wore this with the bottoms skiing and it was perfect. Kept it me at the perfect temperature.

This is my go-to shirt to wear for all activities...especially road trips! Driving from Northern MN to Florida has a variety of temperature changes, but wearing this allows me to have a comfortable ride the entire time! #sweepstakes 6'1", 190lbs size Large fits wonderfully.
