Sleeves are way too long, body too tight. These are for skinny people with long arms.

The picante Heather is more brown and less orange than in the pictures. Still a decent colour, but was trying to match it with the orange on my shoes. Either way, just hope it lasts.

Good quality, but wanted a baselayer, which should be form fitting to be effective, this is more like a long sleeve merino t-shirt for me. I have a lean athletic build. I bought a small and even washed it in hot water and dried it on high heat. It shrank a bit, but not enough. Merino stretches so you almost need it to be a size smaller and have it stretch to your size/ the next size up, to be form fitting. Guess I have to stick to my fav cycling brand's merino baselayers.

Nice product but runs large. I recommend going a size down. Loose base layer = COLD!

After the first wash I hung up to dry by the hanging tab on the collar. Now the collar is completely stretched out, almost don't want to wear it because it looks and feels ridiculous. Ive used this same method with other Smartwool products and this has never happened. My advice would be to not use the hanging tab on the collar. Other than this one issue. I love the fit and warmth the shirt provides.

I only wore this about 10 times and it had developed small holes is several location. Poor quality and I'm really disappointed since these are not cheap.

Over the years I had purchased three of the classic base layer and all for great. One was wearing out after close to nine years and they had a nice sale on so I ordered two. Arm length is probably 3" longer than my previous buys and torso length 3 or more inches longer. Body fit was fine. I'm returning the purchase and disappointed. Not sure I would order anything like these online anymore after this experience.

The fit is odd. Sleeves and body are too long. Nice material, though.

I live in the mountains in Northwest Montana. During the winter it's pretty cold. I've got a whole slew of Smartwool base layers. The one I just purchased doesn't stand up to my old ones. The fabric is much thinner and doesn't provide the warmth I need. Sadly I will not be purchasing base layers again. It's amazing to me why companies don't stick with what works.

This is not a base layer. It is cut like a sweatshirt. Very loose fit considering returning the item.

This year's design feels boxier and fits worse. I have owned probably 15 of these shirts and the two I bought this year are just looser and drape more. I buy this as both a base layer and as something i wear to work in a casual workplace environment, and am really dissapointed that they have changed the slim and form fitting nature of this shirt. I'm 6,2" 175, and a medium has always been a great fit until this year.

My husband wanted to use as an under layer but it doesn't fit properly. It is loose and baggy. The quality is not the best. Not worth $115+ should be priced more like $40. We are returning both items for a full refund.

Used as a under layer in the cold weather. I found this item to be thin, and flimsy with a loose fit. It feels more like a t-shirt. I compared it to an old one I purchased in 2013 and the old one is still thicker than the one I just purchased. I will be returning it.

Thin and not 100% wool. The Smartwool I have form 20 years ago is thicker and 100% wool. Quality of this new stuff is nothing compared to the older stuff.

Soft, warm, and like wearing a second skin !! I'm wearing it as a base layer and it's perfect. Not a bit scratchy.

I bought this five months ago. Only machine washed in cold water and dried flat. It is literally coming apart at the seams under both arms. I was told by customer service they would only give store credit. Why would I want to buy a product that falls apart again???

We've bought smartwool in the past and use our base layers year after year. It's only been two months since purchasing the merino 250 base layer crew and it looks worn and the coloring has faded so it's splotchy all over. Not sure if the material has changed but it's definitely not the same quality as the others I own.

The military olive green looks like a dirty, grease stained grey shirt. Also the sleeves are skin tight but also very long. The material is very nice, but the poor fit and awful color make this something I would not wear.
