One of the most comfortable and useful sweaters ever. One of my most favorite articles of clothing for the trail or just lounging around. I was it to work and in the woods.

My go-to warm sweater.

Wicks away moisture very well, while still providing additional insulation while out in the elements.

Love the fit, the feel, and the warmth. Whether I'm wearing this around town or on the slopes, this is my new go-to. Wish I'd bought one years ago.

Perfect fit that allows freedom of movement without pulling uncomfortably like some stretchy synthetic materials tend to do. It breaths great and keeps me warm.

I've wearing this everywhere. Initially I got it to wear during outdoor activities, mostly skiing, skating and fishing. It's so soft, comfortable and doesn't smell awful after a day of high energy activity. I've started wearing it just around town it's so comfortable next to the skin. I liked it so much I bought another one. Will not disappoint.

Definitely worth buying this base layer and it does the job it was designed for. I was skeptical about the fabric thikness at first but later surprised when I had to step outside in the cold. Not a fan of wearing thick layers that's why this one is my to go preference.

Replacement for a lost favorite. My life is better with this shirt in it, and I hope that I never have to face another day without it. Comfortable and wears well over several days; it has enough heft to be meaningful without being overwhelming. A great gift for someone who works outside for a living.

The shirts has no big seams protruding out which make it more comfortable. It's soft. The waistband is solid. I would purchase this product again. The size I ordered fit perfect. 5-10, 185 lbs, size medium

This is a fantastic base layer. Very warm but not bulky. Fits true to size.

Outstanding base layer. Needed something a little heavier for low activity in cold weather and this fits the bill perfectly.

This new heavier base layer is great! It is much warmer than the thinner versions, but just as comfortable. And they seem to last forever.

I wear this baselayer under my drysuit while diving for work. It is super warm and soft, and surprisingly light and easy to move in given how warm it is. Fits a little looser than I expected, but it's comfortable and easily fits under lots of other warm layers.

Feels like a nice sweater. Already ordered a short sleeve shirt and will be ordering more soon. Its a necessity in Wisconsin. My under armour is going out the door.

Used this on my most recent trip to alaska and I couldn't have been more comfortable. I used two of them for 10 days and they were comfortable, warm and dry every day. Also nice that they didn't smell so I felt refreshed every morning. Love all of my smartwool and this one is no different

I purchased this layering crew to take the place of another thin wool sweater that was worn out. I have to say this piece is super versatile. I can wear this with a tee underneath or on its own. It doesn't itch very soft and comfortable. I can wear this out or as a base layer. I liked it so much that I purchased 4 others. Buy one you won't be disappointed.

I bought this base layer for a hunting trip. I was looking a non-collar base layer. It feels and fits great. The Smartwool size chart was right on the money for my weight/body.

Picked this up last night as a random bd gift from my girlfriend. I am always cold so this seemed like a good choice. Wore it outside today (40 degrees) playing with the dogs. I only had a cotton tee and nylon pullover with it and *I was almost too warm!* After coming in and being quite warm from the temp change, I was never uncomfortable! This shirt feels better than cotton! I think I have found my favorite base layer... Can't say enough good things about this shirt!

I've tried many base-layers and this one is the best. The quality, fit, breathability, and versatility far exceed the performance of any others. I have use for this in temps ranging from subzero up to the high 50s (F). Not once have I felt sweaty or uncomfortable in any of these temperatures. You can really wear this for days and not stink up within an hour like the Patagonia capilenes and other synthetics. Without a doubt The 250s run longer and have a better fit than the 150s. Just don't forget to wash inside out in cool to cold water and hang dry for best/longest performance. PLEASE NOTE: this review is specific to the 250 layers.

This shirt has easily become my favorite! For someone who is wide in the shoulder area but not long in the torso the way the shoulder seems and length of the sleeves is amazing since i usually end up having to pick between too small in the shoulders or a dress in length. Only thing i want is a different color. If it was made in the same color as our military undershirts it would make a perfect layer for the cold days in the field especially for vehicle crewman who cannot wear most standard issue CW gear since it can melt in a fire.

This is the second one I bought, I absolutely love this shirt!
