These were great for my new walker! I wanted something that had a sole with good "floor/ground feel" for an early walker while also having something a bit higher than a shoe yet providing some ankle flexibility. Tough specs to meet, but these fit the bill. My only complaint is that the velcro strap (looks like shoelaces, but thankfully it's not) could be longer. My daughter does not have wide feet, but the strap does not pull all the way across to be flush with the velco edge when on. Still, it doesn't affect functionality, so for me this was near perfect!

Such cute shoes, but I didn’t realize the laces were only for show! My 18mo old has wide, “fluffy” feet and despite getting the wide size, I couldn’t get her foot into the boot.

This is my second purchase of these boots for my toddler girl! She was around 16 months last fall when first purchased and she loved them! This year she's a few months over 2 and I had to order the same boots for this fall! They are so comfortable! She loved wearing them! They are perfect for fall/early winter! Easy to get on/off! And they are really cute!

These are adorable and I love the velcro closure. The only thing I didn't anticipate was there is no extra room for thicker socks. I definitely should have sized up. My daughter only got to wear these once. I would buy them again, but just make sure to buy them a little big.

Laces are indeed just for looks and are not functional. Boot is stiffer than expected and not as durable as I had thought they would be. Cute boot but I probably wouldn’t have purchased had I seen them in person vs online.

Toddler with fluffy feet so loved the entire front opens using the velcro so easy to get foot in. Nice warm but not hot like snow boot. Highly recommend. Love Merrell shoes for new walkers.

We live in Maine with a petite 1 y.o. who is learning to walk/run/climb and loves the outdoors. Cool, wet weather doesn't really end here until May. To find tiny footwear (size 4!) to meet these needs was a challenge until we found the Bare Steps Cocoa Jr. Boot. Our little one didn't skip a step when she put those on and went out exploring.

Adorable and easy to put on. The Bare Steps line is the best. Allows foot to move naturally with wide toe box, but has good grip so not sliding all over the place. My daughter loves them - we’re on our second year in a row of getting them for her winter boots because she wouldn’t even try on anything else.

My daughter put her feet in the fountain. The shoes were completely submerged. They surfaced without any issue and kept her feet dry! They are so cute and very nice for the small adventurer who is fairly hard on shoes.

I purchased 3 pairs in 3 different sizes according to the growing period of my grandson. Lots of compliments. The boots are extremely comfortable, easy to put on, safe while walking. Can't be happier than that

I love all the Bare Steps shoes Merrell offers. They are excellent at fitting my toddler's wide and thick foot, and give her lots of toe space. The boots are very cute too.

My little granddaughter & I took off to the playground in her new Merrel's. She was having so much fun climbing, sliding, swinging & running. No one would have guessed that it was the first time wearing her new shoes. And they kept her feet nice and warm.
