These are sturdy and attractive shoes, hence the three stars. However, I've only had them about a month and I've already had to put Scotchgard on them as I felt moisture coming through. I only purchased these because the last pair of Merrell work shoes lasted under a year before I had to put Scotchgard on them, and that barely worked for a couple of weeks after that. I've been buying Merrell for a few years. The first pair of athletic shoes I bought helped greatly with plantar fasciitis. I don't know what happened. For context, I work full time from home at a desk. I only wear these shoes for walks and taking the dog out. I still give them three stars because of the support they provide which is great for arthritic joints. But the price point it just too much for continue to buy them if I can find other shoes with good support that are less expensive and stay waterproof for over a month.
