Soft yet responsive, comfortable but light, durable but breathable. This is a running shoe that can handle the miles and you forget it's even on your feet. Quality is high and I feel energetic and fast with these on my fit. Fit is true to size. WR24 gets my two thumbs up.

I'm biased bc Mizuno's Waveriders (WRs) fit my feet like I was the model for the mold. I have wide feet, but wear a normal width for WRs. These are the WR 24's and the last ones I bought were the 22's. I finally switched out when I realized I probably had over 500mi on the 21's. Previously I had used the heel strike wearing through as the sign to change out, but the heel strike never wore down on the 22's. The first pic shows the "roadrunner" emblem is less obtrusive, heel pad is longer, and the hard heel plate doesn't run all the way through the arch anymore. Also there appears to be an extra layer of padding on the forward part of the sole. The second pic shows they have the optic yellow available this year and the heavy plastic toe cover is gone. The third pic shows the change in tread design and the trough in the heel is wider (maybe won't pick up as many rocks?). Only run in them once so far but they seem to have the same magical Mizuno quality of minimizing impact with a rather minimalist design. Keep up the good work!

After logging some 950 km on my last Wave Rider 22, I knew it was time. I am not disappointed with all of the innovations and changes in the new shoe. I love how they feel. The cushioning is excellent and every bit as comfortable as the 22. Great looking shoe too with some nice color options. What can I say, I'm hooked. Keep it up Mizuno!!!

I have had multiple Wave Rider models - this latest model continues to be amazing! I run ~20 miles/week, primarily on either sidewalks/roads, or (mostly flat) trails at nearby parks. This light-weight shoe offers a perfect blend of support and cushioning.

The WR24 has improved breathability, response and looks to the WR23. New Enerzy foam gives a cushioned landing combined with good energy return. I went for the Air Mesh as it's a half ounce lighter than the Wave Knit. My favorite Rider since the 17, which was a very different shoe to this (firmer with less cushion and weight) but you can still feel and see the family resemblance. I'm 185 lbs and this is my favorite shoe in the neutral longer mileage segment and this shoe can also handle fast paces well. So long as you're good with 12mm, there's nothing to dislike about this shoe.

Wave riders are great shoes as usual. I haven't felt too much of a difference from the 23s. Even with the new technology on the sole. So far I've used them on a 7 and an 11 mile run, in the longer run at around mile 6 I felt the soles sort of get harder but I also forgot about it for the remainder of the run, maybe just part of the break in process.

Fantastic upgrade of midfoot design! Favorite Wave Rider yet. Guess my foot is made for shoe. Have no problem with length or fabric hugging toe area. Feels great to me on runs. Definitely recommend.

Softer landing than the 23's. Because of the heal redesign the shoe is more stable but overall the same Waverider feel on the road.

This update was masterful. Those who are Wave Rider faithful will still love this shoe while it boasts a slightly more cushioned, smooth, and responsive ride that will open it up for those previously averse to the firmer wave plate. The new wave plate shape and full contact outsole are much smoother. This is still a workhorse training that will last forever. Only thing to consider is sizing. This mesh version will fit true to size for most, but is a bit long and wider in the midfoot. If you like it slightly more streamlined for fit, you'd be good to likely go half size down.

Comfortable show for walking, seems narrow to me. I usually wear a 8 D, but bought 8 1/2 because the reviews I read.

Very soft materials for a comfortable fit. Perhaps size down 1/2. I'm a 10.5 in most shoes and the 10.5 here felt just a touch large.

My big toe rubs if i do not get a shoe at least a 1/2 size larger, so i have to get a 14. These shoes seem to be a little larger than the last pair of Mizunos I purchased. They are enough larger that they cause some toe bending too far back issues. I hope this will get better with age or I use thicker socks with them. That is about all I tell you now. My biggest concern will be how many miles I can get out of them.

As expected, the Mizuno Wave 24 continues with the tradition of a solid trainer or long distance racing shoe. It remains true to size on 9.5, with a very comfortable upper, good cushioning and forefoot flexibility. A shoe that can be used right out of the box without having to break it in. I received mine a day earlier than expected and on time for my last long 20 mile training run. They felt perfectly through the whole run, providing proper cushioning and stability with no hot spots.

Great shoe! The size and fit feel true. I ordered my normal size and they are roomy without lacking support. The material seems very breathable, as my feet don't get too hot. They offer plenty of cushion and support. I have the Rider 21 model and like those as well. These seem to have a little more spring than the 21's. My only con is the color selection. I wanted the safety yellow colorway, but they were sold out in my size. I wish the shoe came in more color options. I would recommend this shoe and would purchase again. As always, Zappos shipped items fast. Zappos is my go to site for kicks. Thanks!!
