I got this for school and it is WAY too small. It can barely hold my notebook, laptop, and binder. I wouldn't recommend getting this backpack for school, maybe hiking or travel, but not school. It is really cute and feels durable, but it just isn't a practical size for school.

This bag was too small for school, I had to put my notebooks in the laptop section because the main pocket wasn't big enough for my lunch bag and notebooks/books/folder. Lunch bag barely fit and the bag can't stand up on its own! Every class I had to lean it up against the desk or it would fall over which was super inconvenient. The side cup holders were small and I had my water bottles fall out multiple times. Didn't even have it for a year and one of the straps broke and needed to be sewn back on.

I ordered this backpack for my daughter for school. We are very impressed with the quality of the product and the spacious compartments. There were several colors to choose from as well. wish I had ordered Northface backpacks for her in the past. She loves it! I am ordering me one for my teacher bag as well!

This backpack is super durable. I am using it for school but I can also use it to go hiking. It's the perfect size for books as well as little things like my headphones and charger. I purchased a black one and I like it because it is gender nuetral.

I'm very pleased with this backpack. It was everything I needed and more and shipping was fast and I'm looking forward to using it throughout college.

My daughter, who is a High School Freshman this year, ordered the backpack and loves the look and feel. I love the size and durability. So far, it is hanging tough with all of her books and school essentials. It does well being tossed around carelessly... into backseats, trunks, corners... wherever she happens to toss it.

I bought this for my daughter for school. It has very durable,roomy, and an excellent pick for all of her things for school.

Could have been a little bigger. It was smaller than expected. A 2 inch binder along with other notebooks wouldn't fit.

I use this backpack for saily commuting, trips to the grocery, and as my carry on luggage. I got it to replace my jester backpack that was well used and loved. I like this design but don't love it. The nearly unbareable part is that in the summer I wear sundresses. The material on the indersise of the straps is so uncomfortable it nearly tears through my skin. I don't know how I am going to get through the rest of the summer. I know the winter will be better, but I use this backpack every day. I just took this on a trip to Virginia with my elderly mother and what should have been one of my most useful tools for the beach, trips to the grocery, etc. had to stay mostly on the table because I couldn't put it on my shoulders. I am really disappointed. I waited a long time to replace my Jester and to now be stuck with this for the rest of my lifetime is a little sad. I do love the color.

I bought this backpack for my first year of college and i absolutely livenit it has a huge amount of space for all my notebooks and laptop, and it has a lot of pockets for organization

I love love love this backpack! It is lightweight, comfortable and holds so much! I use for hiking, traveling, work (laptop), and packing clothes/shoes for the gym after work. I also love how I can hold larger water bottles in the side pockets.

I bought this backpack for my daughter. It has plenty of room to put everything that my high schooler needs. It is very sturdy, and I feel confident putting her lap top in it.

I use the backpack for school. It is pretty comfortable except when I wear a strapless shirt, it gives me a rash. Other than that it's good.

Bought one last year still looks new and was passed on to little sister and big sister wanted a new one and middle sister got her first one so all three have North Face back packs and are very happy with them.

As a college student who commutes with books, as well as my laptop, this is the backpack to have! It looks good, has great functionality, and comes with a great warranty. I expect this will get me through my next two years of college and even longer!

As a college student it is great because it has a separate protective pocket for my laptop but still plenty of room for my books and papers as well. It is very durable and is also cute at the same time!

I ordered it on a Wednesday and received my package on that Friday. Super fast delivery. I was very impressed. It was exactly what my daughter wanted and the color was true to the images online. The shoulder straps seem very sturdy and reinforced, which is great when carrying books all school year long!

We bought this for our daughter for school. It doesn't sag or slip down like other backpacks and the straps are great. She is very happy with it.

I am a college student so I walk a lot to get to my classes around campus. I love that my backpack makes it easier to carry my books and in a comfortable way as well.

I love north face backpacks, I ended up returning this one for a slightly bigger one with more pockets though.

I purchased two of these for my daughters to use at school on the condition that they had to use them for 3 years. Compared to the cost of previous backpacks (about $20 per backpack per year), I wanted to keep the cost the same. I now won't let them purchase anymore cheap backpacks! My oldest used it for 5th, 6th and 7th grade and the last two years it has been stuffed full of books, bursting at the seams and it still looks new! No rips or tears and the seams are still in great shape. We are upgrading my oldest to the Recon backpack this year as she wanted a front pocket where she could put her house keys in for easy access. I'd say that's the only con for the Jester, no front pocket.

I love this backpack! I am not only a student but I am also a full time worker and a blogger! I take my computer with me everywhere I go, even on hikes. I never know when my blogging mood will strike. This backpack is comfortable and compact yet roomy enough for everything I need whether I am going to the office, on a trip, to school, or to enjoy the outdoors. It is protective of my computer without being bulky. It is super easy to clean so I can transition it from the outdoors to indoors. This was definitely the best choice for me!

My granddaughter will use it for school.
