I got this backpack for my college Freshman year. The last one I had was also from The North Face and lasted me for more than 10 years without any breakdowns or malfunctions. I recommend this brand to everyone who is looking for something practical, stylish, affordable and durable.

This is a great backpack for school. Loved the variety of color options.

I use this for college

Holds a lot without being too heavy on the shoulders firm and self supported only issue is that there is a big gap in the front bottom where the front compartment ends half way which makes the bottom of the bag look somewhat empty if there is nothing small that is put in there even if you fill up the back pack, filling the front pocket up will still lead to the gap just got it so not sure about durability

This takes place of my purse. In it I keep my laptop, file folders, writing utensils, plus everything I'd keep in a purse.

Bought for my child to use for middle school. The bag is well-made and will definitely last. Unfortunately, it was entirely too small for the giant binders kids have to use now so it was returned. I exchanged for the borealis model and it's perfect.

I ordered the zinc grey/powder blue and the colors just don't match the colors in the online image. It's a nice backpack but not as cute as I'd hoped it would be.

I think it was great design but it will be much greater if the front pocket was longer.

I'm a nursing student and needed an upgrade from my very old north face I was previously using. I thought this moderately priced one would be fine. Since all my books are electronic, I only have to carry a laptop, a planner and accordion folder. This backpack is so small, it barely accommodates these items and it's a struggle to get things in and out because it's such a tight fit. The zipper is also poorly designed because the teeth are so sharp that when I'm pulling something out, it literally scratches my skin. Also it has two side mesh pockets for drinks or an umbrella or the lime and it can only hold one at a time because it's such a tight fit for everything else. My walk from my car to school is about 8 minutes and by the time I get there, my shoulders and back are in pain. This backpack was too expensive to throw it away but I would NOT recommend this to anyone.

I use the product to carry my college books on and off campus, I have a lot of books and the straps are very comfortable to my shoulders and the bag provides enough room for several books, my binder, folders, pencils pouches, and my laptop.

I LOVE THIS BACKPACK SO MUCH. It is really sexy. It's super durable and comfortable and just stUNNing. I am going to use it for school but probably everything else in life, too. Honestly. The one teensy thing I do not like is that the front pocket does not go as deep as the old Women's Jester model, but that's compensated for with the middle pocket not being eaten-into by the stuff at the bottom of the front--it creates more room, which I actually like.

I needed a black backpack for school as part of the dress code. This backpack fits the bill perfectly. Not only is it very comfortable and holds all my school stuff, but it also functions very tactically. I get a lot of compliments and questions about it. I am so happy with it.

Very happy with this product! Just got it in the mail and I can tell that it's just what I need. I wanted a bag that would be appropriate for both a school/professional office setting. As I commute a lot, it would also have to be very versatile. This bad fits all my criteria!

My last north face (which I had for four years) started to wear out and I needed a new backpack for the start of my freshman year of college, and I love the new jester. This is a great backpack for college students if you don't need a ton of extra space in your backpack, but still wanted a durable backpack with a laptop sleeve. It's lightweight, and fits a decent amount of stuff in the main pocket. The only thing I wish was different was that the front pocket was a little bit deeper, similar to the main pocket. The front pocket is only a shallow pocket that you can't fit extra books or folders in, only utensils. Other than that, a great buy for students on campus or traveling.

I work at a gym and so a backpack tends to be more useful than a purse. The backpack is super roomy, it doesn't have too many pockets which is a plus for me. It is super stylish and it comes in a variety of colors for every personality. Only downside is that tank tops might not be a good option when it's new since the material rubs against the skin and can be quite uncomfortable.

I use it for school

I'm a college student and I use the backpack for my school work. It fits my laptop great with enough room for my textbooks and such! Very casual and great looking, many different options to choose from. Would definitely recommend this backpack!
