Great back pack. Holds a laptop perfectly. Good for my 11 year old son. Too small for my hubby.

The material doesn't seem the most durable but great for travel and the everyday. The pockets, storage, and overall design are huge strengths.

I got this backpack for my son who normally goes through backpacks every few months. It's holding up rather well! We are both impressed! He loves it and couldn't be happier.

As an equestrian, I use this backpack for secondary use; primarily for holding my computer, accessories, writing/drawing tools. I can easily fit my computer & pro camera w/ 2 lenses and accessories and a packable jacket, when needed. Zippers, seams, and fabric construction still like new, after a year's use. I like that it offers an under-the-radar, black on black option, so it doesn't scream the "North Face" logo. I don't use this for hiking/sport, but if I did, I would say the placement of the chest strap could offer an adjustable placement, as the current one runs flat across my chest (which is uncomfortable and unflattering for the female form). I'd like to note that I purchased the unisex/male option instead of the Jester women's because the women's didn't't offer the colorway I wanted (so maybe it's a non-issue with the women's bag--idk). Overall, I would buy this again and would recommend to a friend. Great product at a great price point!

Great bag for work or school. Not really big enough for hiking or workout equipment. Overall, fantastic

I used the same backpack for all 12 years of elementary, middle, and high school. I think that makes me at least somewhat of an expert on backpack durability. I had watched other kids backpacks fall apart year after year and I was determined to never have that problem. So as I began the next phase of my schooling this past fall at college I began to search for the ideal backpack to last me for the next twelve years of college and medical school. I decided that the North Face Jester was the pack for me. So I ordered it and when it arrived I was surprised to see that it seemed a little bit small. But oh how wrong I was. The jester was perfect for fitting all of my textbooks, laptop, notebooks, chargers, and a spare jacket for a long day of studying at the library. It can fit everything you will need. I even used it for a few overnight trip with friend and it again proved to be the idea size. It has a slim profile that keeps you looking stylish, but plenty of room to keep you studying or working efficiently.

I use it as my everyday bag, it's very roomy and I fits my Mac Pro like a glove. Even when I fully pack it is very light and easy to carry. It is very versatile!! I highly recommend this bag if you're looking for an everyday and everything bag. You will not be disappointed !

I use the Jester for school, travel and leisure. I love the coloring. The straps are a bit tight, but it's possible I haven't broken them in yet.

I love the look of this backpack. You can tell the zipper's are quality, they are so smooth. It also has a lot of padding on the straps making it very comfortable. I use it for college and for short trips.

Use this for work. Holds everything I need for a day in the field while protecting my laptop. The sleeve keeps it a couple inches from the bottom of the pack which saves your butt if you pack falls to the ground a little hard.

I love my backpack. The color is very unique and attractive. There are cushions on the outside of the back pack that provide additional comfort and support. It has enough space and compartments for my computer, iPad, and notebook. I mainly use it for school but have also used it for gym clothes! I love everything about it!

I purchased this for my boyfriend and its alright. Its lightweight and convenient for basic uses such as packing an overnight bag even though it's not very big. The difference in quality between this and the borealis is huge, doesn't seem very durable. Wish I spend a little more for the better quality of some of the other north face bags.
