The wide shoe is great BUT the strap that goes behind your heel is extra extra wide and cannot be adjusted so it makes like a huge gap. The strap that goes around the ankle is perfect but the next one down that crosses your ankle from left to right is soooo small compared to the others that it barely reaches and comes off. So yes they are wide but not evenly proportionate.
I still love these shoes but I probably don't recommend the wide.

I was looking for some stylish sandals to walk in around Europe. I didn't notice that these have the evil toe-chafing loop around the toe. No good for walking--too bad, they look great!

There may be a reason why there is no photo of a model wearing these: The center top piece does not connect from the part over the toes to the part over the instep--and it gives a very strange and unattractive appearance on the foot. Sad, because the materials and foot bed comfort/heel height were good.

The sandal has a wonderful cushy sole and insole, and the last is wide enough for my wide feet. However, I think the style would have worked better to adapt the Sorrento to a gladiator sandal, than the Pampas. It just has this awkward, sort of disjointed look - so I returned it.
