I have a very odd size foot, with a very high arch and double width. This requires a lot of compromise with style. For example, I can't wear average loafers. These sandals are fantastic, great style! I love the gladiator look in a sandal. I am able to adjust the buckles and velcroe enough to accommodate my crazy feet.

Love these!! I ordered the 5 1/2W, and they are perfect. Because I have short wide feet, there aren't a lot of brands that will work. I thank God for SAS. They always work for me, and I'm thrilled with the style. Sometimes "orthopedic" shoes/shoes requiring inserts/shoes for people with problem feet look frumpy, but these are awesome! Love the style and they're super comfortable. I was afraid about the toe styling because I've gotten blisters with some that have straps that rub in between the toes, but these are different. I don't think there will be any break-in period or blisters.

I ordered a 6W and had to return it because it was too big. In SAS, I measure and wear a 5 1/2W but in other brands, I typically have to size up. SAS is more true to size than any other brand I know. With this shoe, order your real size. I reordered it in a 5 1/2W and it was perfect!

I love the style, so comfortable but too short. will return today, fingers crossed there's a 7-1/2

I LOVE these. I usually get all of my shoes from Zappos but I purchased them from my local SAS store. I have them in black and the brown color. and they are so comfortable and stylish, too! I get lots of compliments on them, too. I have wide feet so I got them in wide. They are cushiony and I can walk in them all day! I’m considering getting the white ones as well!

I have eyed these sandals for 2 years. The price has been the hesitation for me. I finally gave in and ordered them (holding my breath). I received them on time. Straight from the box, I am delighted! PROS; 1. They are so adorable…love the style and detail. 2. These are the most comfortable sandals straight out of the box, I’ve ever purchased. 3. I love that they are made in the USA! CONS; 1. I don’t see anything in the materials that warrants the price. 2. The T-Strap going down the center slides to the side after a bit. I wish they would have stabilized it so it stays in place. 3. After taking the “find my size”, a size 9 was recommended. I wish I’d ordered a 8 1/2 W instead. With all that being said, I’ll see how they hold up for the expense!

Returned this sandal as it runs true to width, and the wide was too narrow. Would recommend for comfort.

I normally wear an 8.5 WW in SAS, but in this style (and the SAS Pampas), I needed to go down a half size. Liked the sandal, the fit was great, but I decided the best color for my wardrobe would be the Bison Black (has a black sole, not white). Zappos doesn't carry that one, or they're sold out. Sandals being returned.

These are stylish enough and comfortable enough. I have wide feet, a high instep and am prone to swelling with rheumatoid arthritis. I don’t mind spending extra in exchange for support. These were not worth the money. I am keeping them and wearing them anyhow just because they are filling a need. They are terribly flat and have little arch support. I am disappointed with this purchase.

These fit beautifully and were comfortable ALMOST straight out of the box (toe strap rubbed a bit at first, but not for long -- I did not need to wear any moleskin or anything. These were comfortable except when I had to stand for a lengthy period of time on concrete -- then my feet started to ache a bit, but every shoe is like that for me, so I shouldn't expect miracles!

I purchased these mostly for wearing with sundresses & nice jeans...I have back issues and am limited when it comes to sandals & "dressy" shoes. These work great for that purpose!! I find they're really cute with all sorts of summery outfits and they don't look like orthopedic shoes. They're comfortable enough for a mild-moderate outing; I can't wear them when I know I'll be walking around or on my feet a lot because they're just not supportive enough/I do find myself sliding around a bit around the ankles. But that said, they work great as a casual-dress shoe. would recommend!

fit and size were perfect but i think i did not need a wide on this one a they are already wide. also it is weird that they are Velcro and on top 2 latches. also the fact that it doe snot connect to the other side the the starpin the middle it makes your foot look wider. and what i like about gladiator is that it tends to slim wide feet

I first ordered size 8 and they were way too long--especially since they are an open toe sandal. I ordered the 7.5 and they are better in length. This is the first pair of SAS shoes I have ever worn. I expected the sole to be thicker. Especially the area in the front half of my foot doesn't have much impact protection. I love the style so much that I am keeping them but just won't be able to do a lot of walking . I would not recommend them for all day walking.

comfy, yes. could not get into the disconnect from toe band to first band. kinda weird. decided to return..

I was looking for some stylish sandals to walk in around Europe. I didn't notice that these have the evil toe-chafing loop around the toe. No good for walking--too bad, they look great!
