Excellent cushioning on sole. Very secure and supportive straps. I am exchanging them for a half size larger as they felt snug. First time trying SAS

I'm disappointed that these aren't as comfortable as a similar pair I bought last year. For the price, I expect (and usually get) immediate "cushiony" comfort.

I am usually a size 39 and the size 8 fit best. But I was between sizes on the width. I have a very low volume foot, but I do need some space in the toes. so tried both the Narrow and Medium. The Narrow was good because I could snug it up through the ankle and forefoot but was too narrow in the toe area. The medium was better in the toe area but I couldn't pull the ankle strap tight enough.

There is a piece of the shoe, like the tongue on a sneaker that rubs up against the ankle when wearing the shoe. Felt like with extended wear could cause irritation.

Love the sandal, but had one issue. I wear a 9N and the straps over the foot are too long. The shoe still fits but I needed to pull the straps to all the way over and now they stick out,

High quality materials and finish for sure. I'm not crazy about the footbed fit, and the thick leather straps. I've had 3-4 pairs of SAS Sandals (Huggy etc) that I really loved and could wear all day. I gained weight and the Huggy in 9M became too tight and I needed something new, decided on the Embark in 9.5W because I loved the navy blue. But there's really no change in the width and the heavy leather straps actually cut into my toe box and bit narrower and bothers my circulation, kind of goes numb and I find myself trying to make my feet comfortable. I can't wear these all day like the Huggy. I already wore them and threw away the box so it's not fair to return them, but I regret the Embark. A slim narrower foot might be fine if you want a heavy sturdy sandal.

I like SAS shoes, but this sandal fits a little too short. I wanted to buy the 11.5 (ww), but it is out of stock. It’s a nice sturdy sandal and well made.

Knowing that SAS can run a little large I initially ordered 11.5W rather than my usual 12W athletic shoe. They were still a bit too long so I swapped them for 11W and the size is perfect. I kept them knowing there would be a break in period and they are stiff right out of the box. Wearing the sandal for short periods every day and they are starting to break in. Not a great deal of arch support but I would call it moderate. These are substantial sandals. My only real disappointment is that there were no dark brown sandals left. Overall the lite oak is acceptable and I like the style as I was looking for a sport sandal.

This sandal felt very well padded and comfortable, except that it rubbed on my ankle bone. I have narrow feet and my ankle bone probably sticks out more than most. What is more concerning is that the Narrow width is not as narrow as they should be. The sandals fit me at the narrowest adjustment, so any stretching will not be able to corrected. These were sized more for a medium foot that could be adjusted to accommodate a narrower fit. They won't work for me and must be returned.

So far, so good. I have a very painful fallen arch and have been searching unsuccessfully for a supportive athletic sandal. I'm cautiously optimistic that these will work but will reserve final judgment until I've worn them a few more times. I think they're cute for casual wear.

just received a few days ago and so far the shoes seem to be comfortable after a couple of days wear.
the style is good for everyday wearing. i have flat feet & it's always a challenge to find shoes that fit correctly.

This shoe is very comfortable to walk in. I have very wide feet and a very high instep. These are adjustable in 3 places so you can make them fit better. I would recommend them to anyone, but esp if you have WIDE feet.

Darn! I really wanted a good pair of hiking sandals. I wear size 8N and these are certainly the right size. I have a low volume foot and I'm able to snug them up properly. But, I don't walk well in them - I'm not really sure why. I got a pair of SAS Relaxed sandals and I can zip along in them. Not sure if the heel height is different? The Embark has a nice soft footbed - maybe I need firmer? I can't say, I just know I don't feel as stable in these. Darnit! I'm going to have to return.
