I am in love. ? I love these shoes. ? They are beautiful. ? I put the first one on my foot and we were an instant match. The way they cradle my foot, They feel amazing. I am happy. How can a shoe make somebody feel this good? When I move them around on my feet, they shimmer between silver and lavendery-pink. There’s enough color to bring out my inner seven-year-old, but enough gray to tone it down so I can wear them outside like a grown-up. In fact, I can’t wait to go outside. I wish it were tomorrow so I could put on my new shoes. I feel like I can do just about anything with these babies on my feet?? is it tomorrow yet?

I'm a Zumba fanatic and an occasional instructor. I'm 66 and a little bit overweight. Over the years, I've developed a lot of different overuse injuries in my feet and lower legs. I've been a fan of Devotion XT (and still am) but wanted to try the Influence Mid. This shoe is very snug and strong. It provides EXCELLENT stability around the ankle AND the mid-foot. Arch support is also very good. I wish it was a little less grippy on the floor. Since I'm in recovery mode at the moment, this shoe is really working out well and allowing me to continue to participate. The only downside, from a Zumba/dance aerobics perspective, is that your foot can't flex and torque as much. But, that's exactly why I bought this particular shoe. Bonus - also love the colors. When I'm done with a Zumba class, I switch back to my Devotion XT.
I'd also recommend:

These were true to size and fit and were very comfortable in the foot area. The problem for me came with the low lacing and ankle strap. The lacing finishes low and means you have to tie them at a point which puts pressure on the tendons of my foot which are prone to tendonitis when compressed. That meant the ankle strap was doing all the work which was not comfortable. These are very flexible shoes, so good for work outs or fancy footwork, but just not as supportive as I needed.

I love everything about these shoes. They fit perfectly (and I have a super wide forefoot), the cushioning is heavenly (I usually stick with very minimalistic shoes), arch support is exactly as I needed and I feel super stable as well, which is rarely the case for me in sneakers. I’ll be trying more shoes by Rÿka. I wish I had tried the brand sooner.

Very supportive with some comfortable give to allow easy movement. I bought these to use in the house when doing exercise videos that involve a lot of jumping side to side, lunges, squats, etc. Suitable ankle support. I especially like that I don’t have to untie/tie when when putting on/off. I just slip on and Velcro the top and I’m good to go!

I wanted these shoes for step aerobics and strength training, and they are good for both. I have a bunion and am very sensitive on the top of my foot at the base of my big toe. Because these shoes do not have seams, laces, or bulky decorations on these sensitive areas, my feet are happy. The insole is removable and the heel area is deep, so my custom orthotics fit. However, I do not need orthotics with this shoe -- it has enough support. Because of the higher top, I do need to wear socks that come up higher than the ankle socks I wear for running. I am very happy with this shoe.

Oh no! I had previously written a five star review on this wonderful shoe and two weeks later, the tongue of the left shoe is starting to unravel. I am so sad. I have tried to call customer service – which is fortunately open from 4 AM to 8 PM – but not able to reach them at the moment. I’m hoping they will replace the shoes. More will be revealed! Please note, the pictures show the left shoe that is frayed, the right shoe that is not, in the pair side-by-side.

I bought a pair on May and by the end of July the bottom sole was gone, ripped, shredded like if these were cheap sneakers. I have pictures, receipt, whatever you need.

I am a Ryka fan! I truly enjoyed wearing the few pairs of Ryka sneakers. Both the Devotion and Influence styles are VERY comfortable and fit nicely.

These shoes are fabulous for Zumba and Cardio Dance. I have to kick back int the heels before tying, but then they are a spot on fit! I'm always looking for shoes with the ball of the foot pivot point, and I've tried many shoes that were ill fitting, but these tick all the boxes. For those that want a lace up to ankle and have a strap, try a Ryka that offers those features. I've bought several pairs in the kart few years and loved each and every one of them. Unfortunately, I've suffered a foot injury that prohibits a tight ankle fit. LUCKILY, Ryka has this Influence version that allows me to have a snug foot bed while allowing my ankle a little more movement. Thanks for the awesome insoles too!

Love them. They are comfortable, fit well, and feel so bouncy. I use them for dance & general workout. The mid rise helps support the ankle.

Purchased a couple months ago. Jazzercise instructor here. These are great! I'm normally not a high top fan. These offer a smidge support for my ankles. Suffered from ankle tendinitis last spring and it's finally under control. The shoe also has good foot support. I only just now purchased separate inserts. Perfect timing for staying home isolated, right?

Bought this mid-ankle to replace the tenacity. They are super comfortable, give support, and don't stick when teaching. I received quite a few inquiries about them and compliments. I wore them to teach ZUMBA ? and will try them at Boxing class!

Got these because I like more ankle support in my higher impact classes. They didn't disappoint. Light weight, true to size with no break in period needed. Agree with prior comment, that lace should go all the way up with the Velcro overlay. These do not give as much ankle support as Tenacity (high tops) style but they are lighter weight.

I love the influence because the bottom is so cushiony and it really helps with dance so I was really excited to see it at the same bottom is used in a high top or at least a shoe that had more ankle support as I'm currently struggling with weak ankles as a I rehab ankle tendinitis so I jumped at the chance to purchase and I wasn't disappointed my only recommendation would be because I do need the ankle support is to have the laces go all the way up to the top and then Velcro over for extra support
Currently the laces end just above the midfoot but they really need to go up to the ankle, over the ankle so that you can really secure the shoe to get that extra ankle support you need!

So far I like the sneakers and they are comfortable. However, Ryka used to carry lace-up mid tops and now only carry a Velcro close at the ankle. I think laces all the way up, allow you to secure it tighter around the ankle.

I have worn many different ryka shoes. I use them for body jam and zumba. They are very comfortable and supportive. I dont like the velcro, prefer laces.

Please bring back the Tenacity style. It keeps my ankle and foot much more stable and then I don't hurt.

If you're not used to a higher top sneaker, this may be a bit difficult to break in. I've got fallen arches and am finally trying these. They are extremely lightweight. Once this virus is over and I'm back to normal teaching schedule, I'll have a better feel for them.
