Let me start with the fact that these are great looking shoes. What they are not, is trail running shoes. I have been running for years, (since I was in the Army) and I'm 49 now. My regular shoes are Salomon Speedcross 5 GTX's. They are everything these shoes are not. I run at a place called, (Jerusalem Mill, MD). Trails are rocky, roots, rough and lots of ups and downs. These shoes are dangerous, do NOT buy these for running on anything other than a flat dirt trail. The shoes are light, feel great just walking around. Problem is they have NO support and your foot is moving all over the place. Soles are thin and you will feel every stone/rock/root in the arch, there is very little cushion at all. Tread compound is not right for anything that might be less than dry. You will be slipping on just about everything. All in all these shoes are dangerous for running on any serious trails. Don't waste your time unless you are just walking or wearing them as casual shoes, they would be great for that. If you are looking for something that can handle serious off road, try the Salomon Speedcross 5 shoes, they are monsters on the trail, traction all day long and nice cushion and support.

These are great shoes but very very disappointed in the defect at the topline. Have worn less than ten times and the topline (heel collar) is already wearing away. These are my husbands shoes. Mine are the orange color. Same issue though I did wear mine more often. I expected better for the price tag.

The shoe feels great, keep in mind this is a trail running shoe and trail running shoes are not necessarily as comfortable as normal running shoes. I took them right out of the box on an 11 mile run in the foothills outside of Tucson, AZ, USA, and yes, like some other reviews have voiced, a rock about 1.5"/40mm long got wedged in the middle of my left shoe. Annoying, this has not happened with my other five pairs of Mizuno trail running shoes, had to stop and pound the thing out. Should it still get five stars? Yes, thus far they work, they grab the trail, my feet feel in place in constant side to side movements up the mountain. Over the next six months, I will determine if they do hold up to my Mizunos in the long run. Currently, I am in the love stage with these shoes, but this relationship has to last and all the positive factors have to remain constant for at least six months

Have owned 5 pairs of ONs. Two of those were Cloudventure and one Cloudventure Waterproof, plus two other models. I loved the comfort and feel of the OLD models. I just got two more pairs of Cloudventures (one regular, one waterproof) and they aren't the same. The "improvements/updates" ON has made have wrecked these shoes. I have sent both pairs back. Cloudventures have always squeaked a bit once wet and on hard surfaces (sidewalk, road, going into a store on a rainy day). It was a quirk, but not a too annoying squeak, so I lived with it. The new models squeaked as soon as I put them on in my house, walking on hardwood floors (dry surface) and the squeak is really loud. The laces are too short to tie! Lastly, the shoes are not as comfortable as the old model. Although the Cloudventure is better in that department, the Cloudventure Waterproof is uncomfortable all over and is too small in both size and width. All of my past 5 pairs of ONs I have been able to put on and wear. No break-in needed. These I couldn't stand to keep on for more than a few minutes and with the loud squeaking, didn't want to. Very disappointed.

I'm updating my review of these shoes. I've had them for a few months now and they're already falling apart. For the most part, I've been walking on a track, so they aren't getting a lot of abuse. The soles are cracking and in one spot have separated from the rest of the shoe. The inside of the shoes look like they are 3 years old, the material has completely disintegrated. I would not recommend these for serious trail runners.

I've only had these shoes about 3 weeks and already the back heel area (interior) of both shoes are totally falling apart. Would have expected much more from such a high priced shoe. I'm unsure if I can even get them returned at this point under warranty.

I bought them for Xmas but I do not like the look of the material on them. I will most likely be exchanging. How do I do that?

My husband loves these shoes. He says this brand is his favorite for the combination of comfort and style. He is owned 3 pairs and will not buy another brand. Many of his friends have asked him about them and bought them too.

I wear a 15 and unfortunately On doesn’t make that size. I was desperately trying to make this work in a 14 but it was true to size. Please please please consider making a 15. I love the look of your shoes.

The shoe felt true to size for length, It did feel a little narrow but it hugged my foot nicely, This is an adventure shoe so it should not be sloppy, the shoe felt good, I also removed he insoles and replace with a pair of green super-feet insoles. These provide mush more arch support.

I’m a big fan of Cloud sneakers. I have had several foot surgeries so my fever get tired easily. These are so light and cushioned with good arch support. I can walk 4 plus miles daily with virtually no pain.

Good shoe, it's my fourth pair of ON. They don't last as long as I'd like but the comfort is worth it.

After reading several reviews on the manufacturer website as well as Zappos, it became clear that these shoes were not being used for RUNNING! My review is not only based on RUNNING, but what the shoe was designed for which is TRAIL RUNNING. I have used all the big brands over the past 10 years and this ON shoe was the most comfortable out the box shoe I have used. Today I ran my first 5 miles wearing this shoe and challenged the shoe with steep hills, gravel, sandstone, sand and larger river rock trail variations. It performed great, very comfortable, well ventilated shoe. I wear a custom foot bed in all of my shoes, so I can not comment on the integrity of the liner that came with this shoe, I didn't even try the shoe on with the foot bed it came with. I also can not comment on how this shoe will perform after its first 100 miles, but today it was Great!

Nice high end shoe. I wear a 11.5 but 12 was the best fit . When I find running and hiking shoes that I like at the recreational store, I try them for size , then order from Zappos at a far better price.

This is my 4th pair of Cloudventure’s. They work well for me. I like that they have shortened the lace length in the new model.

I wear a 12 and the size 12 was perfect. I am 6'2" and 195 lbs. I returned the shoes, though, because they were too green for my liking. I kept a pair of the blue ones, instead. (Sort of a slate blue) They are great! They fit like custom made and are very comfortable and conducive to hiking and wearing day to day.

Nice, light trail running shoe, but I plan to use it for hiking. Let's admit it, most hikes are on on trails that are dirt, cinder or have some small rocks, so I'm not sure most hikes require a "true" hiking shoe. I'm ok with low-tops. These OC will surely be much easier to travel with because they're so light and don't take up much room. Not a ton of room in the toe box, but that hard edge will be appreciated on the trails, even smooth trails. Nice pick for most hikes.

Construction is good. Looks cool. Fit is sloppy. Poor lateral support. Shoe is fine if you intend to run or walk in a straight line on a level surface.

Okay shoe but after just three months of lite wear mostly around the house/town... 1) fabric is "extremely" easy to stain and stains are next to impossible to get out making the shoe look dirty all the time, 2) the fabric on the toe cap has wrinkled and the two layers are separating, and 3) the treads seem designed to pick up gravel/rocks, especially the large V on the heel causing me to have to stop and remove them regularly.
