Absolutely loved these shoes! Very comfortable with great arch support. The one problem is they are all canvas. My search for leather must of threw this in and I mistakenly overlooked that. Not sure I can keep canvas clean enough to make the price of these shoes worth it.

I love these shoes. I am a physical therapist and specialize in foot problems. The insole of these shoes is perfect for most people. If a person has a flat foot, they might not be comfortable. The only negative is, I typically wear either a 7.5 or 8. I tried on 7.5 at a local store and they were too small, so I ordered an 8. They are a tad too big. The arch fits in an odd place, but that is my foot, not the shoe. I encounter the same problem with Vionic shoes. I solved the arch problem by adding a 1/8” heel lift to the top surface of the insole. My food is on the narrower side of medium. I was able to tighten the laces and achieve a comfortable snug fit. Shoes should not be loose! If you can’t tie the laces, you are wearing the wrong size.

These are a little difficult to put on at first. I had to loosen the laces and run the zipper up and down a few times. My foot fit in perfectly, but I struggled with the zipper the first time. Now I found if I put my foot on a chair it is easier to zip. Taos should move the zipper to the inner side of the shoe. I have some sketchers like this and it is easier to zip from the inside.

I have two pairs of these shoes. Absolutely love them. I did have to go up one half size for them to fit properly. The zipper makes for an easy on and off. My only complaint is that they are heavy (wish they were lighter weight for travel).

Love, love, love. I have wide feet with a high instep so many M width shoes don't work, including some tennis shoes. Usually, I buy Keen but these were so cute (red floral) I couldn't resist. Really comfortable with outstanding arch support. If you need custom insoles theirs is removable. Lots of compliments and dressy enough for me to wear with pants at work. Highly recommend.

I have the Taos Z-Soul shoes in three colors now: White, Sand, and Caramel. I have a wide foot and it’s hard to find quality shoes that fit well and look great. This style does both. The zipper feature is functional. I use the zipper to don and doff the shoes. The zipper makes the shoes look a little bit edgy without being too out there. Also the brand is a bit on the exclusive side where I live, meaning you don’t see these shoes on the feet of every woman you pass. I like that. The metallic trim on the White shoes makes them a little dressier (if sneakers can be called dressy). I plan to wear them with white boyfriend jeans for occasional where you want upscale casual. I love these shoes. Please don’t ever stop making them.

Cute, well made and comfortable. Have more support inside that usual shoes of this style. Laces are a little long. Arrived very quickly too!

These are so comfortable! I love that the you don’t have to tie them—just a quick zip on and off. They are very well made and the zipper seems strong. I get compliments each time I wear them. They didn’t require a break-in period. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5. An 8.5 in these is perfect.

The Zappos website has the photos for the golden tan/tan and the tan/golden tan shoes mixed up. Other websites have the photos properly reversed. I ordered the golden tan/tan shoes, expecting them to be the lighter tan body and the darker tan trim at the top of the back of the shoe like the Zappos photo, but I received the darker tan body and the lighter tan trim at the top of the back of the shoe. The box was marked "golden tan/tan." Despite my disappointment at not getting the lighter tan pair, I like the darker tan ones a lot and think I might prefer that color. They are a dark golden caramel color of brown and the color is one that is difficult to find in a classic sneaker style shoe. I like how these shoes are the perfect heel height. The heel is a little taller than the Keds and ECCO Soft shoes but not as tall as the Paul Green platform sneakers. This was my first pair of Taos sneakers and the fit seems TTS. I almost always wear a size 6.5M, although my ABEO walking shoes are a size 7. I oredered the 6.5M in these shoes and they fit well except for a tiny bit of slippage in the heel with no socks. Tigntening the shoe laces closest to the ankle reduced the slipage some. For reference my foot is average in the toe box and slightly narrow in the heel and arch. I liked the arch support in the removable foot bed but it soon started feeling a little rough and hard, so I replaced the contoured removable footbed with the ones in my ABEO walking sneakers and it was more comfortable and squishy, but the arch support was not as nice as the inserts that came with the shoes. I may prefer the ones that came with the shoes once I try them with socks.

Amazing arch support. Convenient zipper on the side makes it easy to get off and on.

I have this shoe in two colors and love them! They are very comfortable and I love the style. Looking into a third pair soon!

Super cute shoe but even after removing the thicker Taos insole and replacing them with my orthotics, the toe box was too small and I have average sized 7.5-8.0, B width feet.

I did not like the zipper. One shoe did not zip smoothly.

I love the look of these shoes, and the fact that once you tie the laces the way you like, you can zip them on and off. I tried my normal size and half a size larger--sizing up was a must. Even with the larger size, though, the shoe felt too stiff and uncomfortable on my bunions, so I sadly returned them. Maybe too many seams in the wrong places, a common issue for me and my sensitive feet, plus the added stiffness of the zipper. For the price, I can't take the risk that they will soften or loosen after a break-in period.

I just purchased my second color of the Z-Soul. I found the first pair comfortable and supportive. I had several different color Converse Chucks, but they weren't supportive enough for my feet and they rubbed in too many places. So I was looking for something different. The first time I tried a pair in-store in a 9 and they were too small. So I ordered a 9.5 from Zappos, and they fit. Maybe a tiny bit large, but close enough. I like that I can loosen or tighten the laces to accomodate the socks I am wearing and then just use the zipper to put them on and off during the day. They are a bit loose in the heel but the collar keeps them in place and they don't rub. I had my first pair for several months and decided to replace my navy Chucks with a pair of the navy Z's. I took a chance on ordering the 9W. My feet are on the wide side of medium width, with a very high arch. I tried them with the provided insole and with ones I have on hand that have a lower profile. But they were still too small. Even at a wide, they were still rubbing my small toes (and I'm not really a wide). So my overall review is a 4 star because they are just so hard to fit. Everyone says they run small and I don't understand why a manufacturer doesn't conform to normal sizes when it's a known issue. I own three pairs of Taos sandals and they are all a size 9.

The arch support was pretty noticable compared to other shoes. Very cute shoe just wish the arch support was a little less for me personally.

After reading all of the reviews, I decided to order two sizes (7 & 7.5). While the larger size made it easier to use the zipper function, my heel slipped in the back as I was walking around the house - so I went with the 7 (my regular size). I took them on a 3 mile dog walk. Last half mile started to get a blister on both of my heels. I chalked it up to the normal break in period. Brought them on a trip and did okay. Now on my 3rd and 4th time wearing them, I am able to zip them up the side and I haven’t gotten any new blisters. The arch support is really nice and I think now that they are broken in, they will be great walking sneakers that look cute.

I normally wear a 10W but W wasn’t available so I ordered 10.5M. Fits well. I think the cushioning could be a little better, hence the 3 stars for comfort. I love the style and the zipper is a cute working embellishments. This is my first pair of Taos but will definitely try other styles.

My usual size fit fine. I will say that the zipper is terribly hard to zip with your foot in the shoe and tied to the appropriate fit. Other than that disappointment, the shoe is cute and fun.

The color was not ‘tan’ but more brown. Not a beautiful color.... but the fit was great. Will keep.

I love this style, but the pair I have felt too narrow so I ordered a half size larger as the website suggests. It felt like the shoe was too long. This is why I’m returning them.

I’ve bought n 2 pairs. Both pairs have had the stitching come out in the front top toe area. Rest of the shoe is ok, but this ruins it
