These shoes look like saddle oxfords on steroids, which is not necessarily a bad thing. I was glad to get a pair of trail running shoes that weren't some bright screaming color, especially a hot pink or some such (not all ladies are fans of pink). I really like the autumnal color scheme! Anyway, these feel like a hiking/running hybrid: the soles and toe cap are stiff and sturdy, while the upper is light. I like the construction in what would normally be the tongue area. Grit and dirt won't be getting in there. The shoes do seem narrower than other Salomons I have (Speedtrak, XA Enduro, and Wings Pro 2--all older models no longer made, I'm pretty sure). I'm glad of this. The Speedtrak especially is on the wide side. There must be some kinda hefty rock plate in the sole, a real plus on some trails. I always order a size larger in running shoes than street shoes, and this pair was no exception.

My fourth pair. I walk/hike 100 miles/month on average, street and trails. These are the best shoes.

The fit is perfect, they are very comfortable and I am able to wear them all day without any back or foot pain.

The fit is amazing. The toe box is big enough that my toes have some wiggle room as I'm going downhill, but the shoes can be tightened enough that my foot does not slide forward and jam my toes into the front of the shoe. I bought these for hiking trails in the PNW in winter, but just came back from a trip to Arizona where I did some really steep, difficult hikes, bouldering and hiking on slick rock. The shoes are amazing in both climates. I can navigate a steep muddy trail or steep dry slick rock and not slip in either location. I despise hiking boots and decided to try these Salomon trail running shoes over hiking shoes. I am very satisfied with these shoes.

Too much shoe for me the tongue was to high up my foot and stiff Love the way they look and they seemed very sturdy wish they fit better

This is my fifth pair of Salomon huge fan! I normally wear a 10 in athletic shoes however this shoe runs larger by about a half size! Love color combo!!

I have had this line of shoe for over 15 years. This is the first time that I am not an 8.5. I think an 8 would actually fit now. Assuming that I would be, I threw away the box so now I can't return them. Love Zappos, Love Salomon but kind of screwed myself on this purchase. :(

If Salomon keeps doing what they're doing I shall not stray. Thanks for being reliable, comfortable and lookin' good!

They are sturdy and comfortable and I love the easy on, easy off, with elastic laces.

Needed a new pair of hiking shoes and decided to try these based on reviews. Love them! They are comfy, sturdy, and cool looking!

I was hoping these would work but they are too big. And you don’t have a size smaller.

This is a phenomenal pair of shoes. I have arthritis and a collapsing arch. I love these and I'm keeping them. Excellent quality. I highly recommend them.

The shoes are wonderfully comfortable. I have been using them for light hiking and am so far very satisfied. I can easily use my orthotics with these shoes.

These shoes fit my size 8-1/2 feet perfectly. They are comfortable with a roomy toe box but also without allowing my heels to slip. I reduced my overall score because they aren't the most fashionable shoes and there is only moderate arch support. That being said, I purchased a second pair in a different color because of the fit of the shoe.

I'm between a 8 and an 8.5 usually, and the 8.5s were larger than usual. I think they might be euro size 41 (usually, I take a 39) - check the euro sizes if you can. I didn't care for the style of laces, but they looked really tough and durable.

I love the styling and colors. I love the quick tighten and release for laces. I have a narrow long foot and I can’t get it to tighten in the right places to feel stable when I work out with my trainer so I wear them casually for the look and arch support. I also wear them loosened on my Eliptical treadmill.
