I wasn't expecting to like this shoe as much as I do. It's comfortable from the moment you step in, and really does give a smooth, fast run. I'm not crazy about the blue color I ordered, but overall this has been a great shoe.

I have been really impressed by the Sonic Balance. I find the road very hard and I prefer the trails but the Sonic Balance gives me enough cushioning and support to acttually really enjoy my runs on the rad.

I bought these ahead of a planned half marathon race. I used them a few time in training and they felt good. Plenty of bounce and spring. Very profile fit but unfortunately too tight in the toes. I'm not going to use them for the race but happy to keep them until they wear in.

I have been running competitively for 15 years now and I have worn just about every neutral trainer that has come and gone on the market. When it comes down it, I just want a reliable shoe to dump mileage on. The new Sonic 3 falls more closely to the fit of a Nike Pegasus and can take the daily demands of a road runner. The foam is slightly more responsive that a traditional trainer, which was a nice surprise. The upper is comfortable and soft, fitting my low volume foot nicely. The cons of the shoe so far was that the upper was a bit rigid when out of the box, but now that I have about 50 miles on mine they have broken in. This is the most okay trainer I have worn, and that's one of the best compliments I can give.

I was looking for a shoe to replace my ever reliable New Balance 880. Very hesitant t switch but wanted to give this a shot. Out of the box, Salomon did excellent with the look of the shoe. Fit is a bit snug with thicker socks but doesn't seem to pinch and also doesn't slip so fit seems to be true to size and still give you some toe room. Only complaint would be a bit higher tongue but that is manageable to deal with. Overall this is an excellent daily trainer road shoe and can also do some tempo miles in without feeling weighted down.

I enjoyed running in this shoe, but I've noted a heavy amount of wear after 100km. Very low cushioned shoe, it's bouncy and you can do long runs in them, just don't expect a super comfy experience. Great for daily runs or around 10km and you could take them up to half marathon race distances on the road. The upper is fairly accommodating for wide feet which is a huge plus. The outsole is brilliant for wet weather, excellent grip at all times.

They work great on all distances up to 20-25 miles and with different kind of paces. Great versatile shoes! The only issue is durability of the outsole which is very poor and lasts around 200-300 miles. I'm surprised cause the runner in other Salomon shoes is outstanding.

Cushioning is really comfortable. The tongue is so frustrating. It is not fixed on both sides, so if you are running in a way that is not straight on a track the tongue starts folding to the side and becomes uncomfortable. I run a mixed route between trails and road. I constantly have to fix the tongue when exiting the trail.

My first time in a Salomon road shoe and they got it close. I would echo most of the compliments that others have given, but unfortunately mine will be relegated to wearing as a casual shoe. For me the heal lock is terrible and even after 30 miles wasn't getting any better. A very wide heel and trying to tighten the down more highlighted the other two issues I ran into. The first being the very thin tongue, a fad that seems to be plaguing shoe companies these days. Any ability to lock down the heal meant discomfort across the top of my foot from the oddly thick laces. Wanted to love them, but I guess not this time.
