I bought them just over a month ago. I've got almost 100 miles on them. They are my first pair of Salomon running shoes. I have hiking boots and shoes from Salomon now, and just like them there is no break in. The Sonics will be my go to running shoe from now on. I love them. As I said, almost 100 miles on them, no break in, not even a hot spot, and extremely comfortable.

I ordered these running shoes based on the strength of the approach and hiking boots I have from Salomon. I have struggled to find the right kind of shoes across all of these types in the past and Salomon seem to fit my feet perfectly (I have a narrow heel, high arch and medium width). I have only put about 30 miles on them so far, and whilst these don't have the highest arch they do fit very comfortably and I've had no issues whatsoever. Would thoroughly recommend these and the brand in general.

I've been using these since early February as my go to training shoe. They've held up extremely well for my higher mileage weeks. This is one of the only shoes I've run in that I can use for both speed work and long runs without feeling "beat up". It transitions from heel to toe smoothly and is a nice, comfortable ride.

I have always been a fan of the sonic line and the 3s don't disappoint at all. They fit well and offer a really smooth ride. Love the balance to put on daily miles and I'm getting the accelerate for faster runs.

This is a great shoe for all of your weekly miles, whether hitting the roads or even some non-technical trails. With a stable platform, just the right amount of cushion and plenty of upper breathability the Sonic 3 Balance is a stellar choice for your daily go-to no matter where you live or the conditions your run in.

Let me preface my description with saying, I run a lot of miles. I literally run through a pair of shoes almost every 4-6 weeks. This is just to say that I have tried a lot of brands. The Sonic 3 Balance is my first jaunt into a road shoe by Salomon. I through the shoes on yesterday for a 10 miler through Glacier National Park. First impressions with fitting is that they were snug but not too tight. The Balance have a flat unobtrusive tongue that is usually found on a race shoe. My feet are extremely flat and a lot of brands have so much arch that the meat on the inside where there should be an arch hangs over, not so on the Balance. During my run the Balance provide good response and my feet felt firmly planted around corners. I would put these shoe in between a long distance trainer and a race shoe. If I was doing a training run over 13 I might throw on something with more protection. A normal person would probably be fine but, i've suffered from metatarsal stress fractures throughout the years and try to be extra cautious. Overall I would recommend the shoe to someone who is looking for a daily trainer that is comfortable right out of the box. My only dislike could be the color scheme but, that's very subjective and who buys their runners for the looks anyway?

Great on the streets or in the gym! Super responsive and very comfortable. This has been a great show for me as I'm bouncing back from an injury and gradually increasing my miles and strength training. This will be my go to shoe this spring as I start to lengthen workouts on the road.

I've been a big fan of the Sonic line ever since the first SLAB Sonics hit the market. I've been patiently waiting the new release and after one run in the new Sonic 3 Balance, I'm happy to have found my new go-to road shoe! The shoe provides enough cushion but doesn't take a way from the feel of the ground that I love! The shoe snuggly hugs the foot and allows me to take mind off my feet and focus on the run! Can't wait to lay down some hard road miles in these Killer Tomatoes!

My first impression when I put these on was that the cushion might make the shoe feel heavy, but that wasn't the case. They had a quick response time and bouncy feel to them which translates well to non technical trail which is something I look for in a road shoe.

This is my first road shoe is nearly two years and I'm extremely happy with how they are working out. Right out of the box, they fit like a glove and the cushion was very noticeable. Logged 10 miles on the first run with zero issues and seems to be a great combination between cushion and feel. Not to mention look great as well. Definitely looking forward to some speed workouts in these!

I love this shoe for any day's I have speed work or marathon pace.

I bought this shoe to include in my 4 shoe rotation as a good daily trainer. I like a medium to light cushion and this shoe has plenty of support, but it is a firm feel. Some may like that and others may not. It's not a plush landing, but it protects your foot well. Salomon have always been very protective and had firm feels. The outsole is well suited to last a long time and protect the midsole and the rest of the shoe gives me plenty of confidence this shoe will last well into the 600-700km mark, which is my upper limit on most shoes. If you are looking for a reliable, well constructed daily trainer, consider the Sonic Balance. If you want a little more cushion, the Confidence may be your choice. Sizing was true to size. I'm an 8.5 and this shoe fit me correctly.

I only ran about 80 km in them so far as I bought them to replace my old running shoes. The comfort is there, no doubt. I like to wear them as they felt just perfect from the first day. My main drawback is I am not sure of the durability as the rubber outsole already show signs of degradation. Not that much, but it can clearly be notice. But so far they are nice shoes.

I like these trainers, really light and and comfortable. They're a great road shoe, I was surprised how good they are and much more comfortable than my adidas solar boost. I love Salomon gear and over the moon they have road shoe that completes with the traditional names. My only bad point is that the sole has started wear after about 40 miles. I'll be keeping them for racing rather training.

Excellentes chaussures trs (trs) confortables avec un bon dosage amorti / dynamisme. Ces Sonic 3 Balance sont de vrais chaussons qui ne manquent pas de dynamisme et sont donc un agrable compromis. Mais ils viennent remplacer des Sonic RA avec des qualits quivalentes, si ce n'est une semelle qui a fondu ds les 200 km. La question est dsormais celle de la durabilit, pour l'instant difficile juger aprs 3 sorties et une cinquantaine de km. A suivre, donc, sans oublier de signaler la qualit du SAV Salomon qui a t ractif et irrprochable sur la gestion de l'usure prmature de la paire prcdente.
